    Great video. Do you remove your ejector spring on your competition rifles when single feeding?

    I'm looking to build a 6br. I already have a Bat b for my 6ppc benchrest rifle.
    I wanted to build a cheaper 6br to just have fun with but still want accuracy.
    Thinking of a Mack bros.

    It’s extremely difficult to use PRS and affordable in the same sentence. But, if you are looking to build a PRS rifle, one should consider purchasing quite possibly the best action on the market today. That action will last you a lifetime and you will more than likely put multiple barrels on it and you will drop it into multiple different chassis over the years. So I would most definitely start with an impact precision action.

    What kind of knob is that on the REM PTG bolt? I don't see it on their website.

    I always heard BAT actions were the best and they do look fantastic.
    I prefer the Model 70 action for pure hunting because of its control round feed and massive extractor.
    I never did like the puny little extractor of the Remington 700.

      I have never had an issue with extraction. I have used 700 style action all my life and on many hunts. Thanks for your input

    Areo precision? Faxon? ARC? How do you like the BAT actions, which model u have? Do you think Bat action worth the price?

      Areo precision... I have not handled one yet.. I am trying to get one
      Faxon?? Are they available?? I am not seeing them for sale. They look nice... what is the price?? I am SURE they will cost more than 1k
      American Rifle Company Actions... I have handled and barreled a few of these action... They are nice for the money, and they are controlled round feed. This is an area that I do not need because I single shot some of my repeater actions. Nothing against the Coup De Grace Bolt Action for $899.. But the Nucleus seems very sloppy in its movement. This is my observation of the two that I have handled.

    • @pantherhollow5290

      I love my BAt action... I have the modle CT and it is NICE.. I built it into a 308 FTR comp gun.. I do think the Bat is worth every penny when it comes to single shots. Now when it comes to a repeater, I would think the competition is much higher and the choices are more abundant. That being said I have not handled a repeater BAT.. But I plan to in the near future!!

    What about the Defiance Classic vs the Evo II? Closer in price so maybe the best comparison. One of the biggest advantages of an accurized 700 action is simply stock selection. There arent as many stocks made specifically for the orher actions so some modification may be required for the people who dont want to go and modify their stock/chassis and just want drop in fitment whether it be their first rifle and want to do it themselves or they just prefer the drop in fit.

      As long as the stock is cut for a Remington than a Remington clone will fit!

      @@pantherhollow5290 I've heard of numerous cases where a 700 clone custom action isnt always a 100% guaranteed fit in all chassis and stocks such as Boyd's

    Have you tried the terminus Zeus

    • @pantherhollow5290
      @pantherhollow5290  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      no.. I have handled one.. I do not own one. The Terminus Zeus looks to be VERY nice and comes with a big price tag. I am not sure that it would be one that I would invest in because of the price. I would more than likely just buy a BAT action instead. I have seen to many 60deg bolt throws fail in a match because of light primer strikes. they also have a heavier bolt lift than a 90deg unless you lighten up the firing pin spring. These are the problems I have seen with 60deg bolt throws. Not saying this action has this problem but several do!

      @mikecornelison9910 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jonathan thornton that has not been my experience. I cleaned them after each match and have never had an issue. The 737 has a sloppy feel to me. I have run several of these prs actions, and there are good and bad in all of them. It is just figuring out what you can live with.

    • @jetthreat5000
      @jetthreat5000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mikecornelison9910 no Idea how you think the 737 feels sloppy. There a reason why Defiance has lost significantly in the PRS market share compared to Impact. Impacts run smooth dry. Defiance gets any type of grit in their action and they start binding.

      @mikecornelison9910 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jonathan thornton again. That has not been my experience. The first 737s are the ones that I am referring to. I have not had any for about 2 years. Sell your Defiance actions. I had no trouble selling mine for way more than I paid. I can not say thar about the 737 I had.

    Your custom rifle action has the same value it did 20 years ago. Your fake paper currency, has 25% less value than it did 20 years ago. Wait another 10 years and you will need 20% more fake paper currency than you do now for the same action. The actions holding their value through inflation shows how much value they really have.
