Curious, why are plastic bags not recycled over there? They do recycle them where I live (on the other side of the world). It's even a big part of the plastic they collect and recycle. To give an example, they make new plastic collection bags with all the collected foil-like plastics.

Here in the United States the reason why most recycling facilities are no longer accepting plastic bags is because supposedly the bags kept clogging up sorting machines. Also here in America a lot of grocery stores and even a lot of Walmart locations have a huge cardboard box container sord of thing where people can drop off plastic bags and the stores somehow supposedly recycle them. I personally don't use plastic bags when I go to Walmart or grocery stores I use reusable bags just cause a lot of plastic bags unfortunately get buried at landfills and even a lot of bags end up in oceans and waterways.
