Great gift for your dad electric Wheels are necessary to go deep till not destroy your shoulder. Only tip I gave you is bring everything up then unhook the fish cuz one day I had three fish on my rig and the top one was big so I didn't bring them all up so a shark ate the last one and I almost got thrown into the water my friend had to hold that braid it cut his hands all up so to make a story short just bring all the fish up on the boat plus the weight then take off and re-rigged everything. Great one guys
Good video. Question: have you ever do trolling with the Tanacom? Since I go out alone many times, I would like to find the way to set al alarm on it for bites. Do you know how to do it? That would be a great video.
We used these for tuna jigging in Japan. 80lb braid and landed a lot of 80-100lb tuna on them. Never used the handle, just put it in low and full throttle
Great review. I’ve definitely been wanting to get me a setup, I’d like the 500 size for vermillions and smaller fish in deeper water though. Match it up with a carryable battery pack
It’s just running off the 12v boat battery bank. You can use a power chord with alligator clips that you can connect to the batteries just when your using it.
Good job Jeremy on the tanacom I love mine but they don’t compare to the big boys I had mine to 1800 ft remember on deep deep drops head into current and then do a u turn big sweep to go with current and your line will be almost vertical and hope you don’t get a 500 lb swordfish lol JT 🇺🇸🇺🇸🐠🐟🎣🛥🌴⛱🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
100lb is too heavy. I use 50-60, it has alot less drag in deeper water. Takes less lead to hold to bottom. Using 15-20 lb of drag is about what the reel is comfortable with.

Nice! Did you use the jigging feature on the reel?
Tanacom 1000 is awesome! I have one, definitely save my arm reeling in 12oz plus fish 300+ feet. LOL
Yeah we’ve really liked deep dropping with it so far!
Cool! been thinking about getting one.
Nice footage pal👍

Is 0 or 15° Rod holder.
360° /15°???
Is this reel have a loud clicker? Can you hear it scream when a fish is on when trolling per say. Thank you.
What power did you use on your boat to power the reel ?
It’s just running off the 12v boat battery bank. You can use a power chord with alligator clips that you can connect to the batteries just when your using it.
Which rod did you pair with it?
I just picked one of these up. The handle has a good bit of play. Is this normal?
I don’t think mine had that much play in it. It may need to be tightened a little.
What type of 100lb braid do you use? Appreciate it.
I use solid core braid. I think this was made by Diamond fishing company.
Hey bud do you mind if I use part of this video to make a TikTok? Thanks
Thanks for reaching out but no, we aren’t letting others use our videos for tiktok at this time.
@@ReelHazardous thank you for your time.
Get the Beastmaster, we blew up a Tanacom a week ago with nothing on the end of it on a 2000 foot retrieve. The gearing in them is flimsy and useless
thank you
Did the reel break after that shark?😂also how do you maintain it?
No the reel hung in there! We just wash it lightly with water.
Thank you great video
Thanks!
Elegant 👍

Thanks for the information! I’ll give that a try!

give me used tanacom bro..
can you do a vid jigging with it
I’ll practice with that feature and let you know what we find. We have some more deep drop videos coming out soon too!
Why arent electric reels more common?
I think the price is the main reason
wtf sort of fishing is this. shove your rod in a holder and let an electric reel do it. as least pick the rod up
