This shrine is regarded as the 114th in the series of Tevara Stalams in the Chola Region south of the river Kaveri. ‘Annapoorne Visalakshi,’ the evergreen Dikshitar composition is in the name of Goddess Annapoorna who is considered as the giver of food. This song is on the name of Goddess Visalakshi, who is the witness to everything happening in this World.
