This season Ovi can extend 3 of his current records (30, 40, 50 goals seasons) and take the GWG goals record from Jagr, and more than likely we will see him pass Gretzky's 894 regular season goals, and maybe see him score his 900th!
I guessed he would get 34 before the season. My guess now is he will be closer to 40. However if the Caps keep this pace up Gretzky's record AND 900 will topple.
I've been very surprised by the Caps this year. I figured they would be around the playoff bubble again BUT what they are doing right now is incredible. I've been pouring through stats trying to figure out when this craziness would end. We've beaten good teams and our S.O.S is high. We are scoring over 4 goals a game. Our CF% is good, and the "eye" yeast seems just fine. We have a few players who are hovering around 20% shooting, so I would expect our GPG to come down. The thing that is craziest is our PP is third worst at under 10% and our goaltending has been mediocre. With improved PP and goaltending we can afford to slow down offensively at bit. We all know what Lindgren and Thompson can do. This team seems legit AF. Great way to be honoring 50 years on the ice. Thank you for highlighting the Caps on a consistent basis. Hard to find Caps centric content. And the locked on podcast is horrible. So big hug brother, keep it up! PS- Ive been in a battle with THG about pronouncing Vrana's name correctly. I've unsubbed from his feed. He's a d**k
Appreciate the kind words. I was actually planning to do some Caps-focused content this year but unfortunately it didn’t quite perform the way I was hoping. Now that I have a bit more time to do content consistently I might try to add one Caps-centric vid a week
@DaRinkRat You put more focus on the Caps than any other channel I can find. I'm just happy with that. If you do more... AWESOME 👍 I would think the key to viewership is all around content but if you think more Caps content wouldn't hurt you overall than I'm game. :)
@@DaRinkRat He knows the correct pronunciation. I called him out... He told me I needed a Snickers and didn't correct it in the future. I don't play those games. Also, his content is loaded but it's all baseline stuff that is easier to consume by just looking at the stats and team records. He's great for casual fans but severely lacks in deep content. I guess I'm dumping it on him now but I also have to add that all the jersey nonsense puts a bad taste in my mouth. IDK maybe I'm being too harsh but I just don't like the guy shrug
