  • Germany is going through a recession. Germany is Europe's largest economy and the fourth largest in the world. Yet, since last two quarters Germany has faced a negative growth rate. UK and US could be next. What is keeping India safe? And what lessons should Indian policymakers learn from Europe's financial crisis? Explained by Abhi and Niyu in this video.
    #Geopolitics #worldaffairs #abhiandniyu
    What is a recession:
A recession is a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales.
In the United States, a recession is officially declared by a committee of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) when the economy meets two of the following three criteria:
Real GDP declines for two consecutive quarters.
The unemployment rate rises by 0.5 percentage points or more from its low point during the previous 12 months.
Industrial production declines by 2.0 percentage points or more from its high point during the previous 12 months.

Bad year for me, META down 40k, ALLP down 35k, Draft Kings down 6k, NIO down 15K, ABML down 8k, and my wife doesn’t know. I'm just hanging on to Jim Cramer's words about opportunities in volatile times so perhaps, I either wait for a recovery or pick profitable investments to substitute for my loss.

I agree that hiring a portfolio coach is a smart move and that in this case, patience is your best friend. I make a lot of investments and cannot afford to take the risk of doing it alone. Instead, since the rona outbreak began in late 2019, my portfolio has been maintained by a qualified advisor. I only need about $86k more to reach my three million dollar ROI goal.

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

Economists predict possible recessions in parts of Europe in 2022. Global recessions, marked by widespread per capital income decline, are rare due to faster growth in China and emerging markets compared to established economies, determined by economic growth lagging behind population increase.

Let's be realistic. India will never be a developed country in it's lifetime. Even if India grows, it will get stuck in the middle income trap forever. India will also face major resource shortage due to overpopulation and face the wrath of climate change. India's resource base isn't large enough to support an economy too large either. Also the West and China can sabotage India in a jiffy if it grows too much. Also most Indians don't have unity and are still backward minded and tribalistic. Corruption and being unethical has become so deep rooted that it's become impossible to fix it. Also, the number of talented Indians leaving India is increasing at an alarming rate every year and many of these Indians who left India brag about India being the next big thing which is extremely comedic. To conclude, India may improve in some areas, but it always stay a corrupt 3rd world uncivilized sh8hole. Hence, forget your dreams of being a developed country pa jeets. India is an utterly failed experiment.
      Adios

Well I came to Germany six months ago, armed with eight years of expertise in Data Analytics and a burning desire to conquer new horizons. With an illustrious track record, I've collaborated with renowned agencies and steered global brands to unprecedented success across diverse industries. India witnessed my triumphs, but I yearned to spread my wings and explore the German landscape.
Oh, how the tides have turned! The reality here is disheartening. Job opportunities are scarce, prices soar to unimaginable heights, and a cloud of anxiety hangs over everyone, fearing the axe of unemployment at any moment. Conversations echo with uncertainty, as we all ponder the future, eagerly awaiting a glimmer of hope in the coming year. It's a far cry from the optimism and growth-centric dialogues I once reveled in back home.
With a mere month left on my visa, the prospects of securing employment in this land seem bleak. And let me debunk the myth of German brilliance! Intelligence? Ha! It's an illusion shattered by my first-hand experiences. Only when you set foot in Germany will you witness the truth for yourself. But amidst the disappointment, a fire burns within me-a fierce belief that it's high time we, proud sons and daughters of India, unleash our full potential and roar on the global stage!
Every word in that video resonates with my own lived experiences. I take immense pride in the land where I was born-our motherland, India! It's time to cast aside self-doubt and showcase our unparalleled capabilities to the world. Its time for the tiger to emerge from its cave and unleash its roar on the global stage :)

It seems like we both agree that Germany is facing issues while India is doing well. I am a bit confused because it appears we have expressed similar views. The only difference is that, since you have lived in Germany for a longer time, you might have developed a strong attachment, and sometimes love can cloud our perception of reality. Honestly speaking, there is nothing to be proud of being Indian. I mean what's there to be proud about a nation which has a low gdp per capita, hdi rank of 130, low rank in innovation and competitiveness, high corruption, weak passport, disunity, religious disharmony, brain drain and many other never ending problems. In reality, people will truly feel proud of their country if it gives them economic prosperity and top quality life. Culture, history and all that crap are secondary and don't pay the bills. The overproud Indians who brag all over the internet of being proud of being Indian will dash out of India faster than light if they get a foreign visa. Talking about the army, most people join the army and other govt departments just to make money and get benefits, not out of patriotism.

@@vladtheimpalerofd1rtypajee316 whoa, rhetoric much? Religious disharmony, wow that's a new term after 2014, isn't it? Otherwise we saw how 1993 Mumbai blasts happened and how a particular party leader in Godhra burnt a whole compartment! Disharmony is what happened in Delhi in 1984 after death of IG Madam! And when other countries are going down the drain and taking to streets, we're still fighting in internet and not affected much! If you're not skilled enough, you will be jobless for life! We've changed the rhetoric by introducing Start up India and Skill India! Yet we have unemployment just because not so many people are becoming Sarkari Babus!
Shall I break the bubble of HDI as well? Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan were ranked higher than India in HDI and we know what reality is in these countries! China is going down because of the policies of Debt Traps it threw over vulnerable countries! And the list goes on!
We're better not just in population now, but we're better in UPI transactions and many countries are adapting this, it reduced many security issues and bank charges! Likewise, the Rupee may not be strong enough, but we can see Pounds and Dollars declining! It's not a coincidence that all of the things are happening after Russia Ukraine war! We need to understand cultural identity makes our diplomatic relations strong and that credibility keeps us close to every country so that we don't depend on a handful for oil and gas and all! There's much more than the rhetoric!
And what you said about Army, that seems to be the same tune of a particular group of people! Yes, they work for money, but they won't sell their loyalty to enemy countries for the same money! They do have ethics and code of conduct, just try to pass the SSB interview of the Indian Army recruitment, you'll know what it takes to be there! I can go on, but I think this is enough for your narrow mind to process! Good luck, kid!

It's just calculated by dividing National Income to Total population of any given country which is just baseless for a country like India.... Check gini coefficient of US, Uk too.... You'll get to know the reality.... Moreover here in India even the Government doesn't knows the exact income of people as only 8.8% of the entire working population has declared their incomes.... Hey Abhi Niyu.... I appreciate your content and the efforts behind this.... no doubt Bharat is a rising economy and perhaps the greatest candidate for being the future Viswa Guru.... but there is a catch.... India is recession proof, not only because of some good reasons, there are several bad reasons behind this.... 1st of all, we have the largest population, so an interesting GDP growth is not a luxury but a necessity, then the concept of Government spending comes... Indian Government spends a large amount of money.... which boosts the GDP..... but it is scary because it is due to high fiscal deficit.... We know that our FM has mentioned fiscal deficit to be decreased in the very last budget.... but it will decrease slowly, for now.... growth of India is partially due to the high Government spending, and it is a fact... hope it will change soon....Jay Hind...

Abhi and Niyu, this was an amazing video, and basically true that at the Moment India will not face recession, but also please consider the factor that in Germany and other EU countries there are alot of Indians employed who have skills and work on visas but still in falling economy the EU countries can stop extending their Residence or visas to maintain their own people with employment rate and if all these people are sent back to India it can have a huge impact over Indian economy too for long run.. which we call as collateral damage.. I think you should have added this point too.. but overall amazing work.. keep it up👍

      Adios

Its true that there will be no recession in India but as I am from IT background I know many will lose there job and get less package . Similarly there would be no promotion in current scenario . So indirectly recession will affect india as inflation rate is 6+ but increments is null or negative.
