Thailand and Vietnam are the two countries I want to visit the most, so I am super thrilled that I can experience them through your parent's eyes. I also love that you made the effort to learn a bit of the local language.
Really appreciate you watching. You should visit they are such amazing places. When you learn even a little bit the local people are so kind and appreciative 🙏
Very humble and down to earth parents. They might enjoy walking in the old streets and night markets of Taiwan. Relaxing in natural hot spring. Perhaps one day you can bring them there. Love your videos

Lovely video. Never been to Hanoi, but went to Ho chi ming once. And you are amazing elis, you even can speak Vietnamese. For me, vietnamese one of the most friendly people in south east Asian. 👍👍👍👍👍
@@EllisWR Yeah right. It's such a great experience watching your video contents. And see how passionate alisa and you travel, explore, adapt and too much knowledge to tell the world, which is you're not only can enjoy tourist attractions places but also try others places that not common for tourist, Logger, TH-camr, etc2. And i would say, both you and alisa are foods lover. Everywhere you step, you won't miss to try what local offers. That's the reason I keep tracking your channel. I would say, good contents for people to learn (especially local language), to appetite culture and foods, and most importantly giving a string to attach with people wherever you go. Keep exploring, be safe and I'm waiting for your next video.

This only happens in tourist areas like old quarter. Other than this we've never been lied to in Vietnam. People are hardworking, honest and respectful 🇻🇳🙏
Hope you and your family will go to West Lake to see the sunset, try Pho Chien Phong, Pho cuon at Ngu Xa street. It is a wonderful spot in Hanoi besides Hoan Kiem Lake.
Ellis and Lishe, been watching since the video's on the sea coast in England.. before this launched. This is EPIC to watch Mum and Dad hang out and eat. Well done.
Only been to Vietnam 2 times this far and it combines to 8 weeks... and most of the time in the north. Have to say that sure you can say that people are cold based on that they are straight forward -but they have all been so helpfull, service minded and friendly wherever I interacted with them. I would have loved to bring my parents there but their health sadly dont allow it.. it's so special and wierd that you can fall in love with a place that fast.. I've been around at alot of places in europe but not even the high end ocean views of Nice - France can hold up to a local alley in Hanoi.
Your parents are fully converting over to the SE Asia lifestyle. Eating street food on plastic chairs, tai chi, durian runs, speaking the local languages, talking to locals. It's an addictive lifestyle.
Hello! Breads can be dipped in hot soup, (sometime hot milk coffee as a snack), but nothing cold or juice. Just pay attention to people around how they eat it to fully enjoy the dish. Have fun!
Ellis oi its a Friday evening here in West Sussex I am home alone watching your video about Hanoi my home town. Missing it so much and dying for the food you and your parents are having. I recognise every location in the video.. and OMG, just as I was wondering about where it is that you have pho that you keep saying it’s so good, the camera shows its 20 Nguyen Thương Hien,,,, ít was MY street. I lived there all my life until I got married . My house was just a few doors down on the same side.. It was nothing like it is now. It used to be very quiet with just a couple of tea stalls on street. Can’t wait to come back in a couple of months. Thanks for your lively video. Enjoy your time there and all the best 😊. Meanwhile I’ll keep being depressed here in the cold, dead quiet little village in your England 😅

Sorry, in Vietnam, we often have a way to haggle or pad prices. Usually, baseball caps only range from 50,000 VND to 120,000 VND for sidewalk items. Hats from big brands are only sold in shops. If you travel to Vietnam, I advise you to only look for food, drinks and entertainment because they usually have fixed prices and do not vary.
Don't worry! I only asked because I knew she would say something silly. We've never been ripped off in Vietnam, outside tourist areas the people are lovely.
@@EllisWR That's so great . Although I am a Vietnamese, to be honest, the way of trading without fixed prices really makes me feel like I was cheated. Wish you have a happy trip.
