0:28 I’m so glad someone mentioned this. Like dang almost every time someone who talk about this game thinks SG made this game not knowing who made it and what a publisher does. It irks me every time I had to correct them.
Agreed, although even I have to catch myself sometimes calling Smilegate the developer :( I think player's complaints are in the right spot though, if there's an issue with the game it's probably Smilegate's fault more than the VA Games or Super Creative.
I agree with everything you said. At first i was playing and having fun but after my university started i found that it takes a lots of time which i don't have many,i still like outerplane but i really hope they make it a little less time consuming
Yay! Thanks for the kind comment, it makes me feel like I'm not just making this up. I was expecting people to say "You dum dum, just do this, this and that and bam, Outerplane is an easy second game" haha I agree though... such a good game just hard to keep up with unless you're all in.
1:22 I feel like there’s a misconception here, outerplane isn’t really pve focused. Outerplane did had an RTA beta and it is promised that the game mode would come + there has been heroes that been seemingly pvp focused including recent new heroes + possibly future heroes. For the time they’re focusing on the PvE aspect but more or less I think they’re going with a balance between PvE and PvP. Also there is a community that does help players but that requires you to enter the support server. The game has ducky but he’s a small youtuber but is the #1 player in terms of world boss and arena + he made some guides.
A good point, I didn't know they had more PVP on their roadmap. That's kind of confusing though, wouldn't this just be a E7 clone at that point? I guess they're trying to differentiate through other areas, like the Quirk system they introduced and stuff. I also didn't know about the support server and ducky. Thanks for enlightening me. I guess I was just going based on searching for guides on specific areas and there's maybe 1 or 2 videos compared to 20-30 videos on similar Epic Seven content. However, I agree, I may be pushing a false narrative there. Thank you!
To be honest, dropping the game might be the best course of action. I dropped the game months ago on how they tried to milk players dry with fan service and dupes needed for full character function especially the introduction to limited unit. I have a lot to say about the game, but to keep it short this is my problem with the game 1. Character kit lock behind dupes. They really time gate players too make them pay for the dupes to get build the unit early. When limited unit are introduced, nah man this is just them being greedy. 2. Female to male ratio is big. I get it that female character sells well, but to straight up ignore dude is just sad. I won't have a problem if it's a waifu only game but there is male too in the game. 3. Lack of QOL. Just makes it easy for players to build gear and clear the repeated mode man. Building gear takes so long to do and the tower is repetitive to do. 100 floor per month is insane. Just reduce the floor and compact the prizes. 4. Certain game mode seems to require certain character to clear it. 5. Can't gain friendship points from playing quest. Increasing friendship with item is lock behind time. 6. Farming gear set and material sucks.
This is an awesome breakdown, Whoami. Bunch of things here that I agree with that I could have mentioned in my video, especially #4. I hated that I needed a specific burn dealer or sleep inducer for certain bosses. There should be more than one way to skin a cat! Thank you!
As a veteran Outerplane player i have to agree , i quitted as well a week ago and i played it since day 1 making dailies every day , got all heroes , all maxed up in skill and i even spent some money on it ( i usually try to stay f2p as much as i can but i wanted to support the game ), BUT before the new game modes release i was able to do all my dailies and stuff dedicating 1 hour or less to the game and was able as well to complete 100% of pve content...right now without the possibility of use skip ticket on the island content and the new "talent" system in the base, etc etc i found myself "forced" to spend waaay too much time just to do dailies without the time to actually do the new stuff or even enjoy what i was doing ( that anyway can take a looooot of time for casual players just go do dailies i mean i have a very complete account with tons of heroes to swap for every content...i wonder how some1 with a limited amount of heroes can even complete some island stage or tower floor tbh). The main issue for me was the same you had...simply the time the game takes from you dont justify the rest. for me outerplane was the best gatcha game experience by far and the most enjoyable till 30 days ago but same as you i also have other games that im interested to play and a limited amount of time to play them, i cant rlly sacrifice all my free time on it :( a bit sadge but i feel you
Awesome comment. Great analysis, thank you! Yeah, the Quirk system was interesting but the investment required to advance it was way too time consuming (and honestly, not fun) for a casual game. We were in the same boat but congrats on clearing all of the PVE content... you can see by my video I didn't go too far on some boss fights because I didn't invest the time into building the right heroes and learning the mechanics. Kudos that you got to enjoy those pieces before you left. What game is your main one now?
@@gamesuspectamy im actually without a main gatcha right now im trying the new released king arthur but it seems kinda "money spent or die trying" for a casual game XD but there are few titles that are coming that im interested to try out like Arknight Enfield and Unending Dawn. lets hope for the best xD
@@clauz86ge Ooh, yeah, I'm pumped about those as well, I'm at least gonna try them. Also, a friend says Heaven Burns Red is a great game dropping next month (mainly for the story) so I'm curious there too. Hopefully you find something!
As someone who is a newer player and devoted time and money into it, I agree with all these points. It’s like how EA screwed over Titanfall 2 between COD and Battlefield. OUTERPLANE does need to expand its wings before people again get bored and move on. I love the games characters but could care less about fighting in PVP or even hard modes unless I’m low on a resource. Building gear and teams is the most fun part about the game, as well as being a hero collector, that it does well at. But I can’t stress how much I feel no drive to even play the game some days anymore recently. Still a great game, with flaws. Hope they make better directions to push it forward
Couldn't have said it better myself! I can't deny it's a great game but spot on about not feeling like logging in some days. I might come back to this game in the future if any of my other gachas get dropped :)
i was a day one player quit after D.stella released while managing to get to 6* i recently came back a week ago and i gotta say its a much better game the qol since i quit are amazing biggest being the investigation event missions being able to gear my team out has been a godsend and has caused me to push past all my walls form before but the biggest thing keeping me around and the main reason ive decided to stick with outerplane is that it doesnt crash constantly which is becoming exceeding rare for me when it comes to gachas seems like theyre being made for pcs and consoles first and mobile devices last so having one that doesnt crash all the time is a huge plus
I think they're killing it... New Nella's event just sounded like the end, as they even showed K and the connection to your avatar and Monad Eva... And at the end the avatar gonna go back in another timeline for a better way to save the world... I've found it weird K showing up before your avatar and feeling a sense of deja Vu as if they're the same. I can't see a Season 3 with the Irregulars as the main bad ones after this event, even it being a fake world and Nella as the big bad one...
Oh, what an interesting story line. I think I only got near the end of chapter 2, I think, although admittedly I didn't read the story too closely? Actually the boss at the very end of this video is the one I was stuck on.
I actually have the same thoughts as you. I actually also dont like how they dont have a permanent MC. Like sometimes I keep gettinh confused when it came to some story events. In the Main Story line K is the MC. But when it comes to story events its either K is the MC or its me right there. No offence but I prefer something like other gacha games have where there is a permanent MC and its either something like HSR or something like Nikke. I actually cant used to how Im the MC all of a sudden when it was K this whole time.
What a great point! I didn't really pick up on this aspect but you're right, that would really bug me. I wonder why they do it that way. That should have been on my naught list lol
hmmm Outerplane doesn't take it's inspiration from Epic Seven, it's already exist before as Eroica but due to low player base they finally shut it down and remake a new one with better playstyle and storyline.
i've also played higan and outerplane at launch and honestly was making the two my main before HSR totally blew me away and made me ditch higan due to how grindy it made me feel and ridiculous the dev decision making at the time(a limited character got her rerun barely 2 months after its debut banner). outerplane on the other hand i stick thru longer since i also played e7 and was thinking of switching form it after 4 years back then but the more i played the more i feel burdened especially with how much time i have to spend every day on the game so i quit shortly after the limited white and black sycthe wielding girl event end and back to e7 which funnily after what outerplane give me feels much more polished and give new appreciation to its qos and community.
Haha, wow, I can't tell you how close your and my experiences were. Except I tried Hygan a bit later just because I was curious about how bad it was doing. But yeah, Outerplane up front was a slog and I definitely appreciated E7 a lot more after I played it. Twins!
I also tried Outerplane and I love the animations and units, but I can only focus on 1 game so I had to quit and focus on Epic7. You really need to have a lot of free time to play Outerplane. I have work and RL stuff so its hard to focus on a 2nd game. I'm still regearing my units in Epic7 and that takes a while.
100% my experience as well. Nothing against Outerplane but when you already have E7, then there's not a lot of time for a second heavy game. You and I are practically twins, Coldy lol
i just installed today and yeah this is gonna be the last night 😂, is just not bcs ur video but i have try many gacha game and everytime they have too many upgrade things IM OUT😭. Any recommendations game for me?
If you like story Heaven Burns Red is a lot of fun. Epic Seven is my main game, of course. But you're right, bunch of good games around the corner, like Endfield and GFL2, so it's hard to get too attached to anything right now. I hope you have fun in Outerplane for now, I can totally see myself coming back to this game every once in a while.
It wants you to be on all day to get all the bonuses for one thing, then wants you to constantly reconfigure your team for a boss that takes reading a book to figure out how bad its cheating you out of each of those bonuses.
@@gamesuspectamy I think you pretty much said what I wanted to say about the game. It requires too much time or attention and has complicated bosses. It is a jealous waifu who does not like to be your side piece.
#1 Epic Seven #2 War of the Visions #3 Blue Archive That's it. I am messing around with Cat Fantasy but I doubt I'll stick with it. I am excited about Heaven Burns Red global that's coming out next month. What about you? Same questions!
Yeah, that one looks so good right now. I love how Supercreative is keeping the same drawn animation style and not going to 3rd models like every other mobile game.
I'd also argue that while it was PvE focused, it slowly seems to not be PvE focused as it used to be. The introduction of limited unit banners, and the fiasco with how they set that entire thing up to be a very greedy money grab, while the units that they released through them being heavily PvP oriented, all the while needing to max them out with dupes, made it incredibly PvP focused, and we all know how bad their PvP system is.
Yikes, you are not the only commenter that mentioned the dupe system being greedy. I should have mentioned that a bit more. It does seem like they're trying to prepare for some sort big PVP content in the future...
The two new seasonal characters idk for some reason they made them have 0 crit like they cannot crit period it's like they did it just to artificially nerf Valentine like... why?
Whoa, didn't know that... I wonder if there's some content they're good in (like a boss you shouldn't crit or else he'll buff/counter you). Still thanks for mentioning this, very interesting!
@gamesuspectamy Yea the new Tamamo and Gnosis Nella, why they made them have 0 crit is stupid like a character needs crit for damage on bosses you cannot rely on debuffs alone if the boss cannot be debuffed they are not doing damage at all so their banner feels like a scam even if they don't trigger a counter for a boss idc it's weird to make a character do 0 crit just to make Valentine useless
I think this is a very great video. If i had to add anything to it based on my experience would be the lack of community from the global server. The reddit is barely active, youtube videos are few and far between i.e i just recently searched for some hunt 12 clears after coming back from a idk how long of a break for Gnosis to see what the new strat is for a few (still hate those beetles) and they are months old. Only active community is the discord and that's being pretty generous. While having to figure things out yourself is not necessarily a bad thing, Especially since last time i played the main thing was OP was more PVE focused and E7 was more pvp focused hence having an active community was more important to discuss meta shifts, patches, create content for teams, etc. I just cannot see myself investing long term when the community just isn't there in general.
I'm so with you on the community thing... while I do like figuring things out for myself, I don't mind getting a hand when stuff gets frustrating. Like I had these really strong units 6 months ago but coming back to the game I saw a video saying they're horse poop now but then I don't know who's useful. I basically need to go through their kits and the boss mechanics to figure out who to build, that takes so much time.
everytime i find a good turn based combat game with a decemt story it has absurd amount of fanservice that doesnt let me tell my friends about the game
Cough.... Slides over plate of " Sword of Convalleria ". Try it. Outerplane was meh at launch and is still that pretty much. Had tried it again about a month ago.I got yelled at for like 3 minutes and got nothing pretty much as a returning player. The only thing I noticed was that they made the content a little easier to actually progress but still had the same limitations on farming mats to improve etc...
omg, you got yelled at for 3 minutes?! :P I'm so confused but that was funny to read. Sword of Convalleria.... hmmm...... I'm still on the fence on trying this. I like grid strat combat but I dunno if I'm a fan of the pixel art style... How is the story?
Yes, I agree with all you said. Even though Outerplane looks pretty complicated and has a lot of things to offer, when you unlock every area on the game you see that they are all the same and their gameplay are the same, the only difference is their rewards. The most fierce thing about that is it keeps repeating forever. And as you also said its just a regular pve based game. All I enjoyed about playing this game is the story mode and their unique and bold character design(unlike e7 personally). So when I done all the story levels I just couldn't see what else it could offer, and because all of that I quit it.
Well said! Thanks for the comment, I couldn't agree more. We're basically twins. Maybe we can give it another shot in the future if they add some major update. I hope the game sticks around.
I played STAR RAIL bc it won best mobile game of 2023, the story had no sense whatsoever and felt lifeless even with VOICE ACTING(March is annoying) and with all the walls of text trown at you So i tried OUTERPLANE and it's more lively, the waifus go all in and the story about revenge simple yet engaging
This is such a great critique of Starrail. I felt the exact same way. I really watched the story closely for the first 2 updates I think but honestly it was way too long winded and caused unnecessary confusion. It's almost like they needed hit some sort of VA wordcount cap or something. Outerplane is definitely better on this front. That's a good comparison because HSR is also PVE focused too.
@@ShimueloMx I did! I really liked the story and the English voice actors were awesome. My biggest gripe is that I play on my iPad, landscape and it was terrible in that mode. It seems like it was built primarily for portrait only and they just kinda hacked landscape in there. Things were hard to read and had some issues. I figured I would take a break and come back when they get this stuff fixed. Do you play on PC?

True. Good for me i can enjoy fun things in this game, and i skip annoying things. I love characters interactions and creative stuff. PvP is dumb really, top reward is a joke... not worth it only quick daily 5 for dq. We need farm... As long as we live XD
Play counterside, i was raging quit because its heavely p2w for but now more qol is being release and i think the dev start to listening the player, was f2p and 1 month after returning start to spending a little bit. Story top tier Music also above there Try it.
You know what? I had a pretty high level Counterside account but I quit maybe 2 years ago? I loved Counterside PVP. It was a fun game but I quit just because there was very little new content being released... a lot of old hero re-runs. I might have to spin up my account again and poke around. Thanks for the tip, I thought this game was EOS.
War of the Visions? lol I think I mentioned, like, 6 games, but I'm guessing that was the one. It's very similar to FF Tactics! So similar that it even announced an FF Tactics collab, like, next week or something, crazy coincidence!
Yeah, it does look the same as every other mobile game. At least E7 is hand drawn / animated so it's unique. I imagine they did the 3D route just because it's so much easier. Although, I thought this would translate into more heroes being released but I didn't see that.
@@RoyalMarcien hmmm... I recently played Lord of Heroes and Outerplane's animations blew that game out of the water, so definitely in the higher end of 3d animation on mobile.
now that you said that im kinda sad with epic seven, bc i just dont see the profit of playing RTA as i think it should have for a PvP focused game, its like, only cosmetic stuff for beeing one of the best? wtf?? i play over 500 games/season of RTA bc i like the game, but now knowing that it's suposed to be PvP focused it makes me kinda sad, that said, ill continue playing hahahaha
i enjoyed the pvp but morely because i can do it well due to how long i've played and the accumulation of gears and heroes made my account competitive for the bracket im targeting. e7 really taught me to handle disappointment from all the failed gear crafting and 15% and managing my expectations for my ml summons pity. i'd recommend that game to everyone thats willing to invest time for a high quality gaming experience.
That's interesting... I'm surprised you'll such a big Blue Archive fan. I'm a big fan of the combat and most of the events. But, I don't really like that the game has swimsuit versions and some of the phone stories... I don't know. But, some of the main and side stories are so good. Were you around when Ichika released? That train story was great. The humor, the nerve of the hot springs criminal giving Ichika a hard time. Ichika eventually just can't take it any more and beats the crap out of her. Geez, It was so funny.
Wait a second... I just realized. You noted it would be hard for a game like Outerplane to be PvE only when in the same video you mentioned and praised Blue Archive. Blue Archive is 99% PvE and has a huge following. PvP has the minimum to almost no real rewards there.
@@wintersnowcloud Ah, sorry for the confusion. I don't mind Outerplane and Blue Archive being PVE at all, I just didn't like how much effort Outerplane took to progress. I feel like I spend 5 minutes in BA daily, but Outerplane was a much bigger time sink.

how many game are u playing? what your main game
#1 Epic Seven
#2 War of the Visions
#3 Blue Archive
That's it. I am messing around with Cat Fantasy but I doubt I'll stick with it. I am excited about Heaven Burns Red global that's coming out next month.
What about you? Same questions!
still wait for sg dropin another info on chaos zero nightmare
You are right but I just can't abandon my babies right now :D GL in your new journeys
It's a good game. I'd still be playing it if I didn't have other games. Stick with it as long as you can. :)
I also tried playing outerplane but got bored really fast and yeh it's takes a lot of time too
Twins! Glad it's not just me haha
I basically need to go through their kits and the boss mechanics to figure out who to build, that takes so much time.
everytime i find a good turn based combat game with a decemt story it has absurd amount of fanservice that doesnt let me tell my friends about the game
lol! This is too relate-able!
3:10 Look at kovian vidéo
Good point! It feels like he's the top Outerplane youtuber?
@@gamesuspectamy Yeah... But he is arrogant with everyone, dude needs to chill 🤣🤣🤣
@@Setzen_Kreig He knows his stuff though lol. I hope he keeps making content, Outerplane needs him. :)
I guess it all comes down to feeling like a job
Lol that perfectly summarizes my whole video :P
E7 has 6 years, I hope outerplane will improve if we let them some time :)
Agreed! I hope they keep at it and don't slow down. This is a fun fallback game when you need to take a break from something.
I played STAR RAIL bc it won best mobile game of 2023, the story had no sense whatsoever and felt lifeless even with VOICE ACTING(March is annoying) and with all the walls of text trown at you
So i tried OUTERPLANE and it's more lively, the waifus go all in and the story about revenge simple yet engaging
Have you tried NIKKE?
TBH is the best gacha story-wise
And its waifus are top tier
Unlike epic seven 🧐
@@ShimueloMx I did! I really liked the story and the English voice actors were awesome. My biggest gripe is that I play on my iPad, landscape and it was terrible in that mode. It seems like it was built primarily for portrait only and they just kinda hacked landscape in there. Things were hard to read and had some issues.
I figured I would take a break and come back when they get this stuff fixed. Do you play on PC?
@@gamesuspectamy i've been playing on my Xiaomi phone, runs great,no issues, despite long loading times for a gacha game 🧐
Ty for answering btw, gl hf 🫰🏻
@@gamesuspectamy nah,i play on my xiaomi phone, hopefully you'll be able to play it soon 👌🏻
True. Good for me i can enjoy fun things in this game, and i skip annoying things. I love characters interactions and creative stuff. PvP is dumb really, top reward is a joke... not worth it only quick daily 5 for dq. We need farm... As long as we live XD
Lol, yeah, I guess if you don't take the bosses and progression too seriously this is a fun secondary game.
@gamesuspectamy not really. i played fate go what is the most annoying gacha and game. So i only rage quit here 2x S2 ep 10 Drakhan Vlada Combo lol
@@aestrasyl3721 lol, too funny, I hear stories like this from old FGO players quite a bit. I have no idea how that game makes so much money...
@@gamesuspectamy you know. Fanservice of Fate/Stay anime series. Power of waifu
Play counterside, i was raging quit because its heavely p2w for but now more qol is being release and i think the dev start to listening the player, was f2p and 1 month after returning start to spending a little bit.
Story top tier
Music also above there
Try it.
@gamesuspectamy u have the code transfer right? Ur acc will gone :/
@@ejak5627 omg! I forgot about that... I thought it just linked to my email or something... Doh! Sad panda!
lets hope the game starts to have some improvements just as E7 has been lately; by the way the other game you mentioned reminded me to FF tactics A2 😁
War of the Visions? lol I think I mentioned, like, 6 games, but I'm guessing that was the one. It's very similar to FF Tactics! So similar that it even announced an FF Tactics collab, like, next week or something, crazy coincidence!
hey, that's cool :3 I still have a hope for the game to have a remake c:
Its the animation that they use for the characters looks outdate.
Yeah, it does look the same as every other mobile game. At least E7 is hand drawn / animated so it's unique.
I imagine they did the 3D route just because it's so much easier. Although, I thought this would translate into more heroes being released but I didn't see that.
I don't think so, for basic 3* units okay, but for demiurge/gnosis/Monad, I really don't agree look at the ultimate of D.stella, G.Dhalia...
Haha, If E7 is all in on PVP, we probably expect a bit more right? But, like you said, we're having fun so I guess I can't complain. :)
i enjoyed the pvp but morely because i can do it well due to how long i've played and the accumulation of gears and heroes made my account competitive for the bracket im targeting. e7 really taught me to handle disappointment from all the failed gear crafting and 15% and managing my expectations for my ml summons pity. i'd recommend that game to everyone thats willing to invest time for a high quality gaming experience.
@@vander1135 100%. Epic Seven is still my #1. I don't see anything changing that anytime soon.
Outerplane is a lab rat for e7 no cap
Probably, I wonder if some of the new systems like Terminus Isle and Quirks will suddenly show up in E7 after they tested them out on Ourplane haha
When you speaking facts all i can do is ✊🏽
Imagine and Amy, kicking bum with truth! ✊
:it's not like youre going to log in and solve the same boss over and over"
Runescaoe players with 100,000s of kills on each boss: 👀👀👀👀
o... m... g... nerd alert! jk, Danny. I think this is kind of a cool accomplishment.
@@gamesuspectamy lol
Perdonally for me Outerplane felt dull.
Yeah, I can see that. I feel like if I was all in on it and really tried hard on every boss, I would have a good time.
But true, PVP is where the fun is at!
@InternalxHD Or because you were a big fat cheater! jk. That's so lame, emulators should be given a free pass. :(
