It's so funny seeing this video because I always told my cousin some of these tips and to actually stick with making videos, but because he continued doing it on & off for many years. Last year he started a channel from scratch again and is now making ~10kusd/month from youtube/patreon and is now getting sponsors! He won't give me his channel name tho :(

Well as far as Ant Man or Wasp, I'd definately want them playing very differently, since Hank was the one who kept changing hero identities and working on various tech, while Janet mostly got good with her wings and energy blasts, as well as the leadership skill to run the avengers for a while. As far as other female characters with a good tanks concept, offhand I can think of Alpha flight's member/enemy Diamond Lill, mutant with skin harder than a diamonds. Oh, and they could tap Rogue from the early comics when she'd permanently drained all of Carol Danvers powers. Still the whole 'must be able to take a hit' has limited the female characters who can easily be adapted to fit a tanking roll. At the same point, there's a lot of characters.

simple, understandable and to the point! and yeah with tip 2 and 4 coexist for reason. while broading your theme on variety thing could puque some interest, engaging with viewer also make the sphere for the channel coz if they click with you then they will always comin back and when those 2 thing been solid the number 3 will boost the channel even further either gain some new one or just some exposure but surely it will make growth

Wow! Didn't know that you already have 2k subscribers. What's annoying on TH-cam is if you're not a partner you don't have control to the ads or whenever they appear on your videos and they lower the quality of your uploads lol.

People are really sensitive about this topic but I feel like most of us just want a variety of female characters to play in vanguard, duelist, and strategist. Like you said, it would be ridiculous to ask for a 50/50 gender ratio in a series/genre that is historically aimed at men, but asking for more female characters doesn’t always need to be seen as a threat. Tanks do tend to attract more male characters in all games I’ve noticed, because they are generally larger and bulkier, but I think/hope we might get at least one or two more female vanguards.

I think we shouldn’t just base everything on powers, because a tank character should also have a bigger hitbox than most if not all of the supports and dps. So I can easily see She-Hulk being a tank, but I think heroes like Emma Frost and Cpt. Marvel should be DPS.

I think more than to be visually distinct as a Vanguard at a glance, the model/hotbox size thing is also about their role as a Tank too. Unless it's fun and makes sense for a specific heroes ability, hard aggro mechanics as seen in mmo's don't exist. However, a softer psychological aggro tool devs use for Tanks is to, through both size/silhouette _and design,_ give them a physically imposing PRESENCE. This is why Vanguards/Tanks like Captain America, Venom, Wrecking Ball, etc. work (I'm most familiar with the latter so he'll be my example). Part of a Tank's job is to soak up the enemy teams attention resource. It's not hard to maintain target priority in a vacuum, but when there's a hamster in a giant crab ball mech slamming you left right and center and pelting you with lead, or a patriot bashing your skull in with a shield, it's hard to also pay attention to the rest of the enemy team and avoid turning your back to them. When there's a big-ass guy maybe holding up a flashy shield or something and walking unflinchingly towards you, it can be hard to not focus on that. It's less about the character's actual size as a person and more about their _Presence_ and how their size, silhouette, and design contribute towards that. Look at how they made Doctor Strange a proper Vanguard for example, he's not the beefiest guy, but they beefed him up a tiny bit but found ways through his design to give him that physically imposing presence a hero shooter Tank needs. Junker Queen isn't very wide but she still has a big presence in her build, paudrons, and her mohawk adding to her height and giving her a wild sihiloette, as well as her characterization. (Blizzard might just be cowards about making big beefy women, but it also informs us a bit about her character so it's okay ig lol) (unrelated but while I'm here, she wouldn't be a tank but I'd LOVE to have Gwenpool as a reality-bending Strategist, maybe tipping the scales in her teams favor with a tinsy bit of cheating. She is mentioned in Jeff's lore, so it isn't out of the picture, and I just think she's such a cool character I love her <3)

Fun fact about gwenpool actually, other than the concept she has barely anything to do with being a sort of lady deadpool type. She did get reality altering powers later and she is actually a marvel reader that got stuck in the comics.

Carol most likely not be a vanguard because it seems they fear flying tank could be very overpowered. Hope I'm wrong because I don't see much difference between dive tank, but if there is a flying tank one day, it could also be pretty unfair for Thor

Right off the bat, you’ve got it all wrong. It seems to be very intentional that the classes are Vanguard, Duelist, Strategist and not Tank, Offense, or Healer. Marvel characters are more nuanced than that, so I don’t think netease has to follow the “rules” of hero shooters at all here. In fact, i think they’d benefit even more by NOT following arbitrary ”hero shooter rules”. Every hero shooter WISHES they had the Marvel IP. Netease is better off doing things differently and maintain the identity of Marvel rather than trying to adhere to norms.

I would love to see some of these characters, but im curious to see how the devs can balance their size. Like all the tanks have way bigger frames than other characters but a lot of feminine heroes are noticeably more slender then their masculine counterparts. Maybe they can have the outfits flow outward and be part of the hitbox or something

To me, Captain Marvel is my most wanted tank aside from thanos. Obviously, she could make sense as dps, but personally, I would love for her to be a fast tank like cap but give her some sort of flying ability. Also, I really like the Moon Girl idea it feels like the perfect type of out there character like Jeff or Squirrel Girl.

My crack pick for a Vanguard is Nebula. I know there are a ton of Guardians already but I just think she’d make a really interesting Vanguard with her whole schtick being based around self recovery.

Honestly, i think they should go the multiversus route and have variants. Like why cant we have a spider gwen skin with its own voice lines? Or an adult X-23 over Wolverine? Hell, Marvel is obsessed with Captain Carter, so why not her? It would solve the problem of duplicate heroes very easily. It's the same as if we got Red Hulk or abomination, who are separate characters.

One of the problems with vanguards is that they need to have a larger hitbox than normal characters. Mr Fantastic is a pseudo tank because his hitbox is small, when he gains vanguard health he grows to vanguard size so jessica jones captain marvel and black cat wouldn't make sense as vanguard. You see this especially in wolverine, wolverine is known for his durability, but being a hobbit means he would be too hard to hit to have the level of durability he deserves.

I honestly NEED medusa in this game one way or another, ever since I first found out about her in my lego marvel superheroes 2 game on my ps4 years ago I've been obsessed with her and how unique she is to so many other superheroes. I think she would be a perfect vanguard and could have so many cool abilities in game, also I think she's quite an odd pick, which is fitting for Marvel Rivals so far considering they chose Jeff, Luna Snow, and Lin Lie, who are less known/popular characters but turned out to be big hits in the community.

I've been wanting moon girl & devil dinosaur since I first played the game it sounds so fun to be able to switch between riding and controlling devil dinosaur and being a mobile batman gadget using type with low health

The devs seem to subscribe to the design philosophy that tanks should be large and easy to hit. It's definitely one of the reasons why almost all vanguards are male, since men tend to be larger than women, and this is especially true in comics where proportions are often exaggerated. I agree that more female vanguards would be nice, it will be interesting to see if they decide to disregard size in future additions.

Nice video this is for me the best if u are a new player after some times if u wanna become legends rta or other things u can use your own methonds because now you are proficient with équipement and you know your playstyle

Ooo the update. This corrected everything I said and more! Even the Agatha part. For hit size, just give her a magical sphere that can shatter. Like doctor strange’s shield. Then when it’s done she falls to the ground and has to fight until it comes back like hulk. Obviously with balanced ho etc

Husk - from XMen - she can tear off her skin and reveal other material beneath it - even adamantium. They could make her a vanguard with layers of shielding to keep going.

tank doesn't have to be about soaking damage. it's about distracting enemies. cap works because he's annoying. shadowcat could work because this is an objective based game, kills are worthless. if she holds the objective and deals damage, it's enough to distract the enemy team, similar to mister fantastic. and rogue can work by stealing abilities. pressing an ability would steal it from the enemy, making it so the enemy could no longer use it until she did, and then it would go into cooldown.
