    I once rented a car and drove from London's Heathrow Airport on a little road trip to Blackpool, most of it traveling along the local motorways from the M25 to the M40, to the M42 the M6 Toll and the M6 and to the M55. (I took the M6 Toll to avoid the traffic congestion of downtown Birmingham). It took around three-in-a-half hours.

    I love long drives. As a 'Murrican (tm) I am lucky to be able to travel in basically any direction for hours on end. However, sometimes time and money aren't there for it and watching other people record their trips is a fantastic stand in, especially during the shut-in Covid era we're in now. That all said, I loved watching nature and terrain change around you as you traveled south along the island. Lately I have been hungry for more like this in Europe (a continent I have patently never been to) and I greatly appreciate the content. This is just what I needed. :)

      @@importedmusic There is also the M6 toll, a little short I know AND there is a fee, However, in the heart of Winter, the M5 is quite pleasurable. (I commute the M5 near Bristol. Always jams 6pm on a Friday evening, its guaranteed May till October. Other than that Its okay and 6pm Saturdays are quite nice barring school hols.

    You can't drive an American made truck in Britain without switching the stirring wheel to the opposite side of the vehicle cause of the blind spot.

    • @GarikLegend
      @GarikLegend  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Even trucks with right side steering wheel still have lots of blind spots 🙂

      Why, thousands of EU vehicles on UK roads every day? There is an ocean to cross somehow for an 'American made' truck so I think it would take a little time and a very big bill.

      The motorways are 70 mph and the country roads were probably mostly 50mph

    • @GarikLegend
      @GarikLegend  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Didn’t go too fast. It’s up to 60mph if no restrictions and up to 70Mph on motorways. Sometimes you can go slightly faster all depends on traffic. Personally me always going safe and enjoying.
