Stuff the wire of the antenna in the black box it comes out of and shorten the blue antenna cover. Thats what iv done and I have no antenna sticking out of the body where it can also break and get damaged. Range is still the same and it looks way sleeker
Thanks for bringing up the differentials. I was wondering whether they were open gifts or lockers. It appears they're open differentials. And that's okay not a deal-breaker. Because I'm thinking of buying one. I really like the truck
The 12 turn motor only last no longer then 15 minutes and the lights dim when you give it throttle with the 12 turn motor and I put a 27 turn motor in and I got close to three times the runtime and the lights don't dim but its slower but more torque and way lesser heat but now I'm changing it to brushless with a smaller pinion gear
I’m looking to get my son his first Rc. I was looking at this and the Teton, as well as he 4wd stampede and arrma granite. It would be for off-road park use. What do you recommend?
I’d suggest going with this over a 4wd stampede or a Teton. If you wanna go bigger and you want it to last. I’d go with a Traxxas Maxx the newer version take a look at my channel.
I've owned the revo, slash, and summit in this 1/16 platform. The summit will only blow diffs especially when brushless. The suspension and wheels are way too large for this chassis. The diff housings can't handle the stress and they blow the gears constantly. Also, yes, definitely get dual savox 0250mg servos.
You CAN cut the antenna tube and pull the excess receiver wire and tuck it into the receiver box, this making the wire fit UNDER the body, not really a complaint point dummy!
I love my 1/16 scale summit it’s super fun to drive and easy to work on. The best upgrade you could do is the steel driveshaft and upgrade the servo.
what is the top speed you would say?
@@nickmaxon4610 15mph approximately but feels very fast
@@Connor-bq4cs People forget that with smaller scale cars 15-20 mph feels much faster because the car itself is smaller

Awesome vid, the 1/16 summit looks fun!
I don't usually like to endorse Traxxas products but this is definitely one of my favorite trucks
Great review! I loved how u listed any issue the truck may have during and fully at the end of the video so i know what to expect. Good work
When did these 1/16 summits get sold out?
I really like this little truck, but I was hoping it would have locking differentials.

What motor did you get?
I wanted a Summit, but the store only had the Revo. Only thing I hate about the suspension is it bottoms out on everything.
Try the purple springs Traxxas offers for it along with 40w oil. It helps a lot

@jesse2916 Did you blow diffs with a center diff installed on this rig? Were the diffs shimmed also?
Would.you recommend the e revo 1/16th over this?
I think the Summit drives better than the mini E Revo.
Is it a crawler?
Which indian rupees this summit car
Nice video. Now if only the 1/16th slash had a different chassis like a true mini slash lcg.
Yeah technically the way it is it's a mini electric Slayer
@@chibiskyrc but with an extremely high center of gravity.
Does it come with the battery
Yes
What battery are you running?
The stock one
Can't it run two at once?
Bro if I don’t watch this video I would’ve thought when I bought the summit it would be a lot bigger but I’m glad I didn’t buy it yet
is this a good truck for beginners because i have never owned a nice rc car and would like a good recommendation for one that can off road
Yes I would say this one is pretty beginner friendly
@@chibiskyrc ok thank you
Nice
Nice!!!
I think your weeks are on backwards😅😅
If youre talking about the tires, they are on the correct way. It is how Traxxas intended them to be
You had ne when you compared with an shoe🤣🤣🤣
what is the top speed?
About 20 mph
@@chibiskyrc 20? that’s it
@@nickmaxon4610 It's a brushed motor and also a small size so it looks faster than it is. It's definitely still fast enough to be a lot of fun though

I'm aware. I am just reviewing the truck as Traxxas presents it and instructs you to do in their instructions.
Drive shafts broke on my first drive. Peice of junk
I've unfortunately broken a few driveshafts as well but only in extreme situations like the skatepark
