GL's biggest issue being matchups is definitely real, though I think one thing that separates him from Zato is that his wincon doesn't maintain itself after wallbreak. His post-wallbreak situation is weaker than most, while characters such as Zato, Ram, and Chipp get to maintain significant advantage on super wallbreak and have good tools to immediately start offense on regular wallbreak. This is also compounded by his high wall damage and BTs dealing wall damage on block. Most people on commentary these days do this (mostly to players they aren’t familiar with). I feel like it’s in order to be respectful in general but also to avoid distractions from the main topic (the matches) and shitflinging in comments regarding gender discourse.
@@CaptinSpyke I mean he uses female pronouns for Bridget so clearly he doesn't mind too much pissing off the gamer chuds
@@BananaMate They/them are just weird and impersonal sounding pronouns that don't feel specific or human. It's like if a black person asked you to call them the N word as their pronoun. You might know that doing so is making the person more comfortable, but that doesn't make saying it less uncomfortable.
Over time this will get easier for English speakers as it becomes more normalized and humanized as a way of refering to someone but for now I don't blame anyone for dancing around saying it.
