AMAL is an abbreviation for Amalgamated Carburettors a group of companies AMAC, Brown & Barlow, Binks formed AMAL in 1931. I used to get parts from AMAL in the 1970's they were in Holford drive, Witton area of Birmingham B6. 276 Pre monobloc's and Monobloc's, Mrk1 & 2 concentric's good carbs 👍👍. Resurrected now called Burlen Fuel Systems in Wiltshire UK.
Love seeing this two legends hanging together, doing vintage British motorcycles stuff. It's a shame they have a ocean between them, i would love to see more collaborations
The rainmaker is such a great name for a bike. It could be the most beautiful day…it could be months since we have had rain…If I take my bike out, you can guarantee the storm clouds will gather and it will rain 😢😅
What a brilliant chance for Joe to ride The Rainmaker it really is an awesome bike. Weems you must have needed eyes in the back of your head to stop Emily from trying to clean it 🤣
Great video....funny watching Joe ummm...trying...to put that carb back together without help...so your keeping the rainmaker?...and apologies for another question...the Terrier?...
cant believe he has never done a mono block being he is from England but I still struggle with them since the concentric evolved. there are things we can do mono block to improve performance.
What year and model is the Rainmaker? A friend of mine recently picked up a 1953 Thunderbird. I've taken it out a couple times and it's an awesome bike. I thought someone bought the Rainmaker or won it in a raffle.
Love the rainmaker great job joe
He did awesome!

It is a 1952 Thunderbird. The buyer backed out after seeing shipping costs to Japan.

You're such a racist!! Ask Joe how he liked riding on the RIGHT side of the road.
