Glen was quicker through the corners and under braking than most around him but looked down on power, even compared to other L34's. Beautiful sound and heaps of fun to watch. Thanks!
@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines how are you mate. I've never fired up the engine since I bought it down in Findon. S.A . Had this engine at least close to 30 yrs now. Has no Carb, Dizzy.
This is cool, but Muscle car Masters allowing people to fit 600hp chevy racing engines and use exotic materials and change suspension geometry is taking it too far
Not that much hidden science behind it - alot of the cars still have factory pinnings that still have to meet certain standards before they can get onto the track. You cant just whack a 4 link in with IFS without it being passed. There is still a big requirement for these cars to come up to par. Chevy V8s are still within spec due to cubes. 307/308/327/355 (I think) are still legit if you meet weight and rev range ...correct me if im wrong.
You can see why these cars were so popular in the day for racing. Lightweight and powerful, although fragile diffs and boxes were eventually fixed in the A9Xs. Poor old ford drivers were, usually about 3 compared to 14 LHs up against it from the start
@@GlennEverittMasterofMachinesYes, arguably the best race car ( group C ) Australia produced. By the way top vids, look forward to seeing them Thanks mate

That unique 308 sound! 😍 I grew up in a Ford family but the L34 / A9X is to me the best looking muscle car ever.
Can't beat the sound of the Iron Lion
This channel deserves more subs

Isnt this heritage touring cars not muscle car masters.
*Touring Car Masters. And they're awsome.
If you want them as original racers, there's historic group c and a competition.
No need to look at this video, this happens on the M1 out of Sydney with lunatic Tradies with dual cab Ute's and trailers tailgating people
What was he thinking? About 20mph too fast into turn one. Lucky he just went off and not buried in the gravel!
shame about the audio

Yes, the A9X was the complete package, that's for sure!

@@jimmartin9704 Not arguably. Definitely.
Needs to drive a little more smoothly. Bit all over the place. No wonder he pranged it later.
This makes you realise how sh#thouse Australian supercars have become.
Boring....
This stuff was and is great.
