How can Nigeria talk about improving agricultural production when Nigerian farmers are not safe to go to their farms. Who is going to do the farming. Nigeria should take care of their embarrassing security situations. There is too much talk and no action.

Talking of the detriment of the local rice, this local producers are the one who made rice price to skyrocket to what it is today, during he time of Buhari.

Your foreign exchange value is the major problem here, u can't expect food products to come down when everything has literally gone up, it a chain reaction

And let us start calling for Emefiele's release! Can't you see that many of the measures that this government has been falling on are Emefiele's interventions? Why is the press silent on this. I want CHIEF RUBEN ABATI to escalate this, please.

For nnpcl not able to supply dangote crude 😂😂I see the biggest corruption on our lack of OPEC quota coming from nnpcl something is fishy and nnpcl is the problem here

OPEC quota only applies to export. If Nigeria wants to provide 10m barrels for local consumption, OPEC can’t stop us.

What reality are you talking about? When you hail a so called short term measure, can you say they will import enough to meet demand? Can we assure the price will not be too high just because of other costs of import apart from tariff and insufficient supply? And the bigger question, do we have a long-term plan? How can you praise a short-term plan that is really an insidious seed of long-term hunger?

I think this Rufai has a brain tumor that makes him hallucinate on the events in Nigeria, does he not know that the general insecurities is the reason why foods are scarce and expensive in the country, I think you should be arrested because he is trying to provoke an agitation against this regime and cause public disturbances.

Funny Rufai..i doubt if you are eating local rice and to think with size of Nigeria population we don't need this temporary 150days opportunity shows your naivety on reality on ground..You sems too hasty in judgment on key issues..Dr Abati said it all with his mature perception.

He didn't say it's bad to import cause it's now an emergency. But what he is saying is why did we wait till it got this bad. Didn't we see it coming? Govt will make promises on plans and then renegade on them, that's y he used the dangote refinery, pH refinery at to cite examples of where govt doesn't play it's part
