  • International Oil Companies, IOCs, operating in Nigeria, seek to undermine the operations and profit margins of Africa's largest refinery, Dangote, by asking for high premiums for domestically produced crude oil.
A senior official of the refinery made the assertion while addressing the media.
The Vice President of Dangote Industries Limited, Devakumar Edwin adds that while the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission is trying its best to allocate crude oil to Dangote Refinery, the IOCs are willfully frustrating their efforts.

The curse will be broken brothers... by all our good will and actions... things will function well for Nigerians. This is a glorious fight. Beyond oil I see semiconductor chip manufacturing... huge growth for Africa. Thank you African brothers... love and respect from Jamaica.

The problems of petroleum refining in Nigeria and all Nigeria’s problems are just coming to the forefront. The military leaders and all their oil well allottees and benefactors- the cabal are the problem with our refining and hence our progress. They are all in agreement not to let Nigeria benefit from the resources of that country . They want it for themselves to keep them in Power over Nigeria.
Nigerians should wake up and take the country back from these people ..They do not like what the Tinubu government is doing , he’s perceived as having duped them into believing he is one of them but now is quietly dismantling dismantling the gargantuan edifice that they have constructed to capture the soul and spirit of the Nigerian people .This fight against the old military leaders / Cabal of people has been going on during Buhari’s time and now they are aiming to return to power through Atiku who is one of their people . Nigerians should wake up . This only the beginning of the fight against the stranglehold of these oligarchs on the life of Nigerians .

It’s now becoming clearer why the 3 state owned refineries defied all efforts by successive governments to work and remain operational. Thank you Dangote! Nigeria & Nigerians will win the international cartel behind our ordeal from time immemorial.

You have just succinctly summed up my thoughts and submission on this critical matter. Ditto applies to fraudulent privatisation of PHCN to the current rogue Disco Companies under the supervision of the equally compromised NERC.

A nation without a clear sense of purpose and direction may find itself vulnerable to the influence and control of other nations with more defined objectives and strategies.
Nigeria currently lacks a clear direction and sense of purpose.

It's now obvious, that, the same forces, hindering our refineries from working, are the ones against Dangote refinery now, I strongly believe there are people ( within/without) benefiting from the sufferings of Nigerians. Some of these people have their own refinery outside Nigeria, making hell of money from the travails of our country. President Tinubu should take the bulls by the horn & help us.

With the removal of subsidy, the price of fuel smuggled from Nigeria into Benin Republic has doubled over there. It is no longer profitable to buy "Kpayo" fuel. Motorists rather buy from gas stations. The better for Nigeria. Bad business for the smugglers!

Why should we be helping other countries/few wicked people prosper & we, Nigerians keep living, in penury? This oil belongs to us & not to other countries. The western world planned all this long time ago, when they introduced all this international prices etc. to make us serve them, forever.

Dangote should seek license to explore crude for his refinery. Shell is also selling their stakes in Nigeria i think Dangote can get it and also buy new oil fields that FG is selling.
If Dangote in the course of building this refinery can break many grounds especially solving many problems associated with construction he can also do it.
