I was recently in a musical and we were doing mic check for our headsets....and one of the big leads did this riff before practice AND show days to get her big solos warmed up. It still strikes me in the soul from how well she could do it as well as Tori. I can do this riff but it's brought down an octave and I slur the ascending notes.

People saying Tori is naturally talented is a slap to the face to how much she trained over the years and how much work she put into it. It’s like telling someone “you’re naturally a good artist” despite them working hours practicing.

Holy shit, Cristina’s amazing! Plus, she’s very smart (caught on VERY quickly to each note and section), is fabulous at naturally riffing, and can follow through with you as her teacher perfectly. This girl is destined to be on Broadway or with her own album. She could even be a teacher, she just has such a quick and clear understanding of the notes in both an academic and physical way that she needs to be doing something.
