I think it's true that she did though despite the joking. If you watch their interactions in the Conan can't stop documentary, you can tell that she was protective of him.
@@yoshtodd jokes aside, yeah, sure. but still she had only been working for him for a year at that point. i think by the gigolos mug incident she was completely over him and her job as an assistant haha. and also i cannot imagine a situation where conan said he was cold and sona was like "wait hold up lemme bring you a jacket" happening anytime in the last decade lol
@@yoshtodd She was pretty new at that point. I think what we see on camera in this podcast is more indicative of two people that consider themselves friends, not boss/subordinate. What you saw in Conan Can't Stop was more indicative of a working relationship. They're friends man. Friends often rib each other for fun.

I like to imagine that Sona and Matt are continually reborn and find one another... while in the service of a cruel tyrant. Like... it's 13th century China and Sona and Matt's village is raided by Conan Khan and they are pressed into his service. Or 1000s of years ago, Sona and Matt are forced to raise heavy stones to create a likeness of Pharoah Conan on the body of a sphinx. Then in the 21st century, they become beleaguered podcast co-hosts to a ginger maniac and have to put up with his constant bullying and bits. Just the idea of the three of them bound to one another across time in an endless cycle of bullying and muttered retorts makes me chuckle.
I feel like that should be a Stanley Kubrick movie!

I’m an Irish ginger, from Boston, and also tall-6’5”. The Irish have naturally high blood pressure, so we run warm. We also only have salt as a spice, which only adds to the issue.
Its weird because most Irish arent actually that tall. Average height for Irish men is 5′9″ and for women 5′3″
This year or so, this is the best this podcast has ever been - they've on such an awesome wavelength. They're jiving, man!!
Conan is the funniest/smartest guy in the game. Guy runs circles around everyone.
Very few can hang iwith Conan. Martin Short, for one, holds his own quite well.
Agreed, there are episodes where "funny" people just can't hold a candle to Conan and are somehow completely oblivious when he begins doing a bit. It's so weird.

That past lives discussion really got me thinking... I can definitly see these three together in completely different circumstances, not entirely sure about the shovel thing, but apart from that... The chemistry they have is simply outstanding, so Cloud Atlas like relationships might just be real.

2/2024.....Wow, Sona rarely has her hair down. Her hair is beautiful. So full, curly and wavy & thick. I love her looks. Her sense of humor is wonderful too. I like that she can dish it out, and can rebuff Conan's non-stop cutting sarcasm.

I swear the dynamic between S&C is just so fascinating to me. I could probably improvise a come-tragic rant about their relationship based entirely upon nonsense ideas based on nothing more than observations from watching them over the years. And we all know how lame outside observations of relationships on the boob tube can be.
"Boob tube" was a term likely coined by feminists and other's angry about the male sex drive. The reference is likely to TV looking like nothing but breasts to the average lady in the 1970's. That's my take, as my decidely non-feminist mother was the person that called the televisual apparatus the "Boob Tube". But that was all Beverly Sellberg's fault. New York BFF of mi madre, Beverly's influence upon my innocent mother's Strunk and White language leanings was clear to me at age 5. Nothin' but a no good foul mouthed Brooklyn hussy was what I thought back then.

Team Coco, ditch the guests! They are funniest as a trio! Occasional guests are okay but they are hilarious as a three piece
Some of the guest interviews are hilarious and some are OK, but either way, I like getting to know these people (I mean the guests) a little better. In talk shows this was never the case. But I agree. I do like the calls with the fans more because there is much more room for silliness.

Must admit I don’t know, but she’s on the mic permanently, which in Hollywood terms means she’s “the talent”, which typically pays more than enough so as to allow her to stop taking phone calls or manning a desk for 8hr a day
It’s just a title change. She’s now just podcast talent and doesn’t need to do assistant duties if she doesn’t want to
