On top of Conan being well known, I feel that why this podcast is so popular and so enjoyable to listen to is because they are not trying too hard that it feels forced. Been a Conan fan since I was a 17 years old (2004).
Nah. Because if he would have this conversation without being known, everyone would leave after 3 min because they weren't sure where this was going. Believe me, podcasts aren't that easy. People have 10.000 different ones to listen to, and that's not even at the level of Dax Shepard and Conan O' Brien.
I wanna say it right now, there was a few times during his show that he had longer sideburns than usual, and he looked GREAT! It was genuinely a good look for him.
A good Conan bit doesn’t end at the peak. It drags on like jay leno moving an upright piano with his bare hands until conan does an accent. Then the bit becomes great and can finally end.
I don’t remember who it was on the podcast (might’ve been Jim Carrey the first time he came on) that said that the idea that “anyone can be cancelled at any time” is silly. I mean if someone does something actually criminal (like domestic abuse), then it makes sense that they would be cancelled and could possibly lose their careers (which they should). But ultimately whether a comedian is cancelled or not depends on their audience; if people angrily tweet about a joke Ricky Gervais made, it doesn’t matter, because they clearly don’t know who Ricky Gervais is and just stumbled on his material. They weren’t fans to begin with. Conan does borderline edgy material sarcastically and his audience knows that; so if people DID get angry at something Conan says in the future, his audience would stick by him because they’re familiar with his type of humor.
@@JITCompilation hot take, 'abuse' shouldnt be grounds for 'cancellation' either. who are you to judge what someone else did and why. this 'moral' line in the sand that mustnt be crossed at any cost makes me laugh, as if crimes and laws are of any real worth and not just posturing for the ruling class. and as if any of the abuse allegations are ever real and not just entirely performative, like protests and angry tweets at ricky gervais for 'transphobia' lmao
The beard to me is symbolic of a tough time in Conans life where he was not feeling it, he had started his new journey on TBS....and it was a bit haywire. I loved the fact that Will Ferrell shaved it away. I have been following Conan since past 5-10 years so I may not know if he kept beards in the past as well. But his beard reminds me of that down time in his life. He should shave it away.
I have always liked the look of shaved conan, it shows discipline and order in life, it also seems that the years do not pass in conan, but I hope that this does not become that when the late show hosts retire they become David Letterman , they get half crazy and grow their beards, please don't do it conan :(, they look much older and worn out honestly xD

You're exactly right - it's honestly such good easy listening, very natural conversations and personalities
unscripted Conan is the best Conan.

Yeah, his early Tv interviews look like he was trying too hard
I've been watching Conan since the beginning and "Four wet rain coats" moment might be the hardest I've ever laughed 😂😂😂
It was the parka that did it for me
@@cindycisneros3936 he's a genius 🤣
And the parka with 5 pound weights in both pockets
So genius. An average funny person says two whole jackets or ten jackets but the wet rain coats incorporates weight and makes it unnecessarily better
Same here, also “laden with snow”. He was riffing hard here.
What I love is that Conan is either hyperbolically talking himself up, or languishing in self-deprecation. And somehow it all feels consistent.
Dead on Ted!
It’s perfect
Sometimes a strange combination of the two.
He’s unified with his comedy. Could you imagine what kind of imagery goes on in his mind once he hears something he can piggy back off of? 😅😅😅
Yep. As long as its ironic/absurd. Doesn't matter either way lol
I wanna say it right now, there was a few times during his show that he had longer sideburns than usual, and he looked GREAT! It was genuinely a good look for him.
Definitely! That was around 2012, wasn’t it?
He's so tentative about sideburns, yet meanwhile swooped his hair like that for the last 30 years. Somehow sideburns are taking it too far? lol

Conan needs to make a whole separate podcast just to talk about the strength, stamina, and adventures of his "cockaroo"!!!!!
Team Cocoroo
Inside Cockaroo
I quite like it. It gives Conan a regal appearance. Like Prince Harry ;)
LOL Harry Windsor looking regal, dude looks like a former addict who's idea of being mature isn't shaving.
@@jac9301 You know I said that because Conan says in the video he is "so much like Harry"?
When Harry Met Conando
@@Wulfarwacht Yeah I know, just makes me laugh anyone thinks of him as regal.
It's okay Conan we know it's you behind this smurf account
It’s times like this you know you never have to worry about Conan getting cancelled.

@@JITCompilation that’s exactly right, I don’t know why studios don’t understand this
@@JITCompilation spot on, if people don't like the humor no one is forcing them to be fans.
Conan and South Park have survived A LOT of b.s. lol

I swear, Conan's podcast should be called "Well, THAT Devolved Quickly." 🤣
the ultimate bit is conan not acknowledging he was a damn handsome young man
Keep it. By God, keep it and grow it. As a 40 year old that can't grow a beard, I live vicariously through others people's beards.
Same.
Thank you Conan for bringing it back
Love that the beard is back! Love all the bits! Like the golden - "Powder, sweet powder"
Daaaaam Conan is killing with that beard absolutely KILLING IT
me for the past decade: BRING BACK THE BEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
me now: omg it's gray............
it's good!
I miss the og beard. The _Writer's Strike_ episodes were the greatest of all time to me.
Seems like he forgot he had the beard already then. That was peak Conan.
They missed the perfect string dance comparison at 3:45 lol
That's what the string dance has always been about. Now it got revealed.
Conan, dont get all letterman on us too soon. 😂
fan correction:
it’s not Rumpelstiltskin it’s rip van winkle who fell asleep
keep up conan
Uh oh, the Late Night jackals are migrating into new territory...
@@danielyoung5417 damn straight! 😂
So you spotted an error, eh?
I had to scroll too far to find this comment. C'mon TeamCoco. Keep up

That ending was a bloody homerun 🤣🤣🤣
I haven’t laughed this hard about anything in a long time. Hilarious clip!
3:02 Rip Van Winkle fell asleep for a long time and grew a beard, not Rumpelstiltskin. Not sure if he purposely mixed that up or not.
I'm surprised that at 3:05 he said Rumpelstiltskin, because he meant Rip Van Winkle, and Conan is usually spot on with his references
👍
the wisdom in that beard is more than 5 NBC executives
Getting the Schwarzenegger vibe. Also Sona is so purrdy
We missed you Matt!
Letterman’s beard seriously is one of the most awesome ones out there.. Especially with the story behind the great beard.
Sona needs to watch some old Late Night episodes of when Conan used to have sideburns.
Yes. Will Ferrell will rue the day he shaved Conan!
Perfect time to bring back the Nixon motorboat impression!
Conan is growing his beard back. As the great Lizzo once said: it’s about damn time.
Conan predicted the writer's strike
“I look like my own ghost” 😂😂😂
Conan doesn't even need material as a comedian. He can just go out and talk to the audience and improvise the entire time.
Loveeee the beard! Glad to see him back!
absolutely hilarious, just straight up crazyyyy XD
Cockarooooo! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Four Wet Raincoats and a Parka is the name of Conan's next Rockabilly album
There's a style called "friendly mutton chops" that are so much fun to grow! Basically a beard without the chin hair, and the chops just look massive.
Less rockabilly more A Christmas Carol.
OMFG Conan.. 😂😂
He's Silver Now! it's like when Gandalf goes away and comes back later but even more beautiful.
Conan, you've got a friend in me.
I have always liked the look of shaved conan, it shows discipline and order in life, it also seems that the years do not pass in conan, but I hope that this does not become that when the late show hosts retire they become David Letterman , they get half crazy and grow their beards, please don't do it conan :(, they look much older and worn out honestly xD
i like this more relaxed format conan is stil super funny on it
Now it has been revealed. In his trademark move, Conan was always miming a person who has sideburns braided with armpit hair.
This was the video that made me comfortable enough I could sleep
Sona is a master at setting Conan up for a joke punchline.
The ghost and Mrs Muir sea captain vibes is what I'm getting!😉
i rly like the white beard on conan
Conan is slowly changing into Nick Offerman with this beard
Conan starting to look like what I imagined a stereotypical old Irish Farmer/shepherd Way up in the North would look like.
Conan’s rockabilly band of red heads, the “Ginger Gr’ales”
The beard looks great!
beard looks familiar because it's the beard from the stockphoto guy 'hide the pain Harold'
Like the beard Conan
Conan, you're nothing like Harry, and that's a good thing, lol.
Conan got grey beard, but the hair is still red!!!
Conan mixing up Rumplestiltskin with Rip Van Winkle kills me
Conan's home country by the way is Sea Land ;)
fullll beeeearrddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to Santa Conan!🎅
That escalated quickly…
Man I like this look.
We dig the beard
Solidarity with the strikers again
Will Ferrell is just outside the door with a trimmer...waiting, waiting.
And to think I just wanted to hear about the beard! Wow!
I feel like Conan maybe going full dyebeard would be interesting to see how much younger it makes him artificially look
Conan should always have a beard... ❤
Keep the beard! Make sure you moisturize with a good beard oil so it isn't itchy.
He needs to have Andy on ❤
Conan looks 1000% more Irish when he grows his beard out.
"El Creepo"? That's a New York Post headline, sir.
wuahaha
Must have been some very small coats Conan lmaoo :)
keep it!!
Matt saying tundra re conans beard 🤣
COAT HOOK!
Conan looks like he plays in a jug band on a river. He's hoping to add a third string to add to his washtub bass.
I always thought Conan's beard made him look like Kris Kringle from Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
You calling that a beard 🤣🤣🤣 you should have seen mine 😉🤣
That looks like Sean Connery threw his beard clippings at a sweaty Conan. Matt is looking Beardly Fly tho.
Acockarooooo!
Bring the Beard Back
Conan and Jordan should compare beards
"...ladies."
Conan, plz grow Lenny beard. (Motorhead Lenny, may he rest with eternal heavy rock guitars)
Protect the beard.
Conan is meant for this medium.
Conan is waaaay better than prince harry in every single possible way
From this point forward it’s not Conan o’Brian, but Conan Bluebeard.
That beard totally reinforces his advanced age and deterioration, and heralds his death at the hands of time. I can already hear his bones creaking.
As a heavily bearded man, don't do it Conan. The lifestyle doesn't jive with fame.
I believe Conan meant Rip Van Winkle. Not Rumplestiltskin
They come in dry raincoats they leave wet raincoats
Gourley yes to the beard. Conan no to the beard.
love you ❤
