First I want to say, everything you were trying to show, showed up just fine on my monitor. That Duplicolor white really read as gray when next to the Monument. I like the blue hue that both the white and the gray have. Though most of the time I prefer a lighter gray for my primer. All the primers and the flat look great and worked wonderfully. But the sticker price is a bit much for me. I might spring for the clear flat if I saw it at a show, but I don't see myself ever mail-ordering it. Especially with as much dullcote I already have sitting around here.
Great review! The Behr is good for when I use Pan Pastel but it's not so matt. I use Krylon UV-Resisitant clear and it works great for me. I would love to try the MH one and the new primers. Thank you for making me spend more $$$ 😳
My go to primers are Krylon. Not the paint and primer in one crap but their straight primer. I have used a couple cans of the Chaos black but yeah, it's not very matte and the price is way too high. I did try a can of Krylon Camouflage flat black as a primer and it worked pretty well. For the clears, I also like the Behr clear matte but it's been hard to find so I use Krylon clear matte or good old Dullcoat
Question from Jason.. are the paints durable I mean do the pass the finger rub test.. basically how easy does the paint rub of the fingers.. durable paint takes some effort
Very durable. I just scratched the hell out of it and nothing came off. I have a bad time with The Vallejo primers rubbing off and this feels way better.
Maybe the future I will buy set.. I go back to pactra and model master acryl days .. Maybe they got formula some how from testors.. There were no problems with those paints.. i got few bottles of pactra old stock
At this rate, I don't see why anyone would turn to Citadel sprays when both Monument hobbies and Colour forge give you more, for less. My go to black is Krylon Pure Primer. It works great, can find it everywhere and it's inexpensive. The white is always the hard one to nail, and Vallejo's white spray can works very well, but it still has the splotchy look when trying to zenithal. May need to give the white a try from Pro Acryl. Thanks for the in-depth analysis
Thanks for trying them out for us. I will have to keep them in mind when my current primers run out.
This definitely encourages me to switch from Chaos Black as my go-to.

@@JUST_PAINT_IT Dude, the primers are sooo good!
I love Krylon but it's hard for me to find around here.

What is your preference for using white primer over grey primer? (Or grey over white?) How much of the overlaying color is a factor?
I usually go grey, white if I really want colors to pop, like on an anime kit or something cartoony.
I'm looking for acrylic primer for some my vinyl models. I heard dries quick compared to auto primers.
Dries really fast!
those are impressive! that matte black is awesome.
Did anyone else see the white orb circling around the right side of Jason's head at 16:54? (watch the door in the background for it to appear).
That was just some dust or something flying close to the camera.
Probably. BUT I SAW IT. LOL
@@sunguar Oh, I saw it too, which is why I said it was probably dust. That's what it looked like to me anyway.
I will have to look, could be a spider too lol
Maybe it's the ghost girl that lives in his house...
