    7 Day Spain Retreat, September 30th - October 7th, 2023:
    www.louisekay.net/spainretrea...
    If you bring all your attention fully present into this moment, what is your actual experience of the moment? And who or what is aware of the experience? When no thoughts are present in the moment, what is here? You may answer, "I am here. I am aware." But who or what exactly is that 'I' which is aware? Is it aware of itself?
    During self-enquiry like this it is very common for the conceptual self (ego) to experience confusion or fear. That is because a shift in identity is taking place, from identification with an imaginary self-image, to identification with the True self (pure consciousness). This confusion or fear doesn't need to be fixed or elimated. By simply resting the attention as the witness of the experience it dissolves and quietens by itself with time.
    There is in fact no ego to be dissolved. There are only thoughts and unconscious patternings and conditionings acting out. By simply resting the attention as that which is aware and witnessing the present moment, higher consciousness infuses the system and old unconscious structures and imprints unwind and release naturally and effortlessly. It must be noted that the aim is not to reach an end point where the ego has dissolved, but to discover in this moment right now the Truth of who you are beyond the egoic / conceptual self: pure, naked Awareness.

    You make this sound too easy years and years of conditioning I just don't believe it can happen that quick. I have followed non-duality for years and I have to pay attention to my life in order to have enough money to survive. I have experienced awareness and still i have to support myself... increasingly hard as I encrouch on 72.

    Divine Louise, so beautifully and clearly put and observed. When I was younger I thought I was semi Spiritually awake as I could astral project, see aura's, beings without a physical body, other dimensions, occasional intuition, limited healing abilities, to a still small voice whispering for me not to go down the wrong path, or another time when I was in a bad neighborhood I was leaving my friends house right before it was dark in a semi poverty type neighborhood as 3 people I could not make out yet were approaching me as I went to my car to leave. Since I was a Martial Artist trained in 6 different Martial Arts, Meditation, healing, Chi Kung (their form of Yoga) my chatty egoic mind said to myself to be aware in case those 3 people tried to mug me.
    Then a slightly different voice said to me -"that they might be the nicest people you ever met and to just observe "what is." So I did with a silent mind just observing and as they came closer we stopped to speak for a short time and they were very nice. As I started going towards my car afterwards something changed in me and it was as though I was 1000 times smarter and had deep direct perception I and knew things I cannot talk about in a normal state. I saw one couple that had dark spots in their aura at the same spot and I knew what caused it and what they needed to do to remedy it. They were both in the same situation together. This only lasted for 10 minutes and I returned to the state of being I had been conditioned to.
    Then some years later I was going through a major depression one day, as much as when my Father physically died when I was 7. My Mother had just left her body after years of taking care of her and working full time, my health was poor and I was having money problems. But there was part of me from my Meditation practice that was just observing this nonjudgmentally.
    That part of me that was just witnessing what I was doing. "I" was comparing my life to what it was now, to my happiest times and that comparison made me very depressed. So I realized that that judgment or comparison was causing it, so bowed to God inside for the realization and all of the sudden, my peace of mind came back and felt much love in my heart area which started to expand beyond my physical body, then shot to the top of my head and a little beyond. I was in peace, joy, bliss. I also noticed my normal chatty egoic mind was silent.
    I realized for most our chatty egoic mind runs the show most of the time. Our egoic mind categorizes everything, judges (blocking compassion & understanding), separates us from each other, from God/Source, from direct perception and causes our internal suffering. It has our past experiences in it and wisdom, but some of our experiences were not seen correctly and is still causing us suffering. It contains illusion, delusion, error and limitation in it. Our highest Spiritual self or choiceless awareness nature should be running the show using the temporary physical body and lower egoic mind as needed.
    It is also interesting how one breath can affect the mind. Many meditation traditions observe the ego and or breathing. Not only is breathing in the NOW and is where our physical body in connected to our true self, but by observing ones breathing it exercises or energizes awareness instead of the chatty egoic mind. No breath and the physical body dies, but your breathing can affect your prana/chi and mind. When the breath has very little movement and can be still for short periods, the prana/chi is calm and so is the mind. When the prana/chi is very quiet not going up and down, then the mind becomes absolutely quiet, and in that quietness come the understanding of your true being. Then breathlessness becomes deathlessness. Also remember non judgmental observation activates our timeless divine intelligence.

    as Louise said, "you are love". and love is experiential, not mental, in origin. if you are just quieting the mind, when it is silent, you are just left with an uncluttered mind. if one understands all life as phenomena and experiential in nature, one is open to the phenomena in the world experientially/symbiotically, micro to macro in scale. i have heard this approach called the "DIRECT METHOD" (a Hindu practice, i have heard). to "be in relationship with" requires compassion and love. this requires one to be inclusive to all aspects of experience rather than an isolated observer. knowing how to care without encumbering is key to a healthy relationship here, (perhaps this is how the Eastern sense of "Detachment" comes in to play). being in relationship with, without imposing, or detracting, is "clean and clear" compassion. this state of Being or awareness allows one to be "on the path" to Wholeness and Straightness. "the heart rules the head", is the traditional phrase used. the "modern mind" of the "information age", has put Man in the position of "the head ruling the heart". recognizing the senses, and the life force behind, and how to "view" or orient oneself to them, as the fundamental elements of Being/consciousness, one can proceed in the world and not be overwhelmed with the "information age". enjoyed the video Louise. so inspirational.

    I had to make a prayer three times to become at peace today during my one hour meditation. That helped me today to become at peace because I couldn't do it yesterday and I didn't want to be angry for a second day in a row. I was too tired yesterday night after I finished my battle with my rage. I need to be at peace because I am awareness.

    Feel like I accomplished a good thing today and the last few days. Lining up with my soul's purpose, not smoothly but in a sturdy way. In those moments too ot is good to step back from the perspective of the form-identity to the empty witness inside. It just smiles, not so much in amazement as the form-identity, but calm. Returning to the witness within means part of the 'whoaa!-factor' disappears. Important not to attach to much to the fruits of the spirit. It's a trick of the ego.

    I feel like I'm "wasting my time" if I'm not actively pursuing a goal

    • @vibemanlove8367
      @vibemanlove8367 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      for you to know how to "waste your time," you must also know how to "invest your time."
      then realize that "time" is an illusion. "wasting" time just means doing something you don't value.
      there is no "time" to be wasted. do what you enjoy. whatever it is, just do it whole-heartedly. give it your WHOLE heart, then you won't even be thinking about "wasting time."
      you'll be so busy BEING the Life and the Way that it won't even cross your mind to be thinking about it. you ARE it.
      unless you choose not to be :)

    • @v_north
      @v_north ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you have reached your goal, how long do you stay satisfied for? How much is the goal worth? Not saying all goal are crap, but think of how short the pleasure is. The mind finds security in activity, but the real security and peace is in no effort, but it can take a while before the mind realises that.
      Semi bad explanation, but I hope it shines some light on it (english is not my first language)
