  • It was a bit of a shock when I read the news that Queen Elizabeth II had passed away. We were on holiday in Austria when it happened, and except for my habit of keeping up with social media for news, we might not have heard. But there it was.
It seemed that her passing must come soon, as we knew her health was poor, and few live as long as the Queen has lived. And few live so long in service to others as she did, as well! She was “the Queen” to me my entire life long to this point, as she ascended to the throne just a few years after I was born. This is my brief tribute to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

I was born a few hours after the the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth, and not to far away from Westminster Abbey, just across the river in Lambeth. Even after all this time i still get emotional when i see tributes like this, especially those pictures taken at the time of the coronation, Just 27 years old, what an incredible woman.
Thank you for this, it is lovely.
Perhaps you should change the name to, A Good bloke in Sussex.

Ah, but there are plenty of good blokes in Sussex, but not quite so many Yanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
From your TH-cam handle, I would guess that you are a fan of the writings of Isaac Asimov! Nice to find another one, out in "the wild"!

Ah, another fan of the Master, i loved his books so much, after he passed away all those years ago, i lost interest in reading any more Science Fiction, how strange.
Most people that know say, you forgot the R, and i smile, as i am now. Wonderful stories.
Once again, thank you for the lovely tribute to our amazing Queen.
