I'm glad someone did this again after that one guy took it down. But here I feel the tempo is a little bit off. Or at least I think it is to hectic in some moments. Also in others in the first movement it could use less pedal. (in the passages of the declining chromatic chords)
No, Medtner is way too far from Rachmaninoff, their structure, thematic work and harmony are differnet. But mainly their music philosophy is absolutelly different - Rachmaninoff Makes music mainly for the themes, Medtner makes music to Work with the themes. So Rachmaninoff have longer melodies and Medtner has mainly short themes/motives which he extremely cleverly and creatively develop and work with them and makes the music mostly from it.
