Hey, hope you all like this video. Probably by next week, we will change the name of this channel from ‘Downtown Success’ to ‘Philosophies for Life’, since this channel is all about using ancient philosophies for modern day success. Do let us know your thoughts…..Thank you.
Downtown Success Jesus Christ’s Visit To The Other Cultures Of The Earth: --------------- AND now, there are other sheep that the Lord visited to whom he taught the will of the Father in all things. For the Father had commanded His Son to give His gospel unto all of His children. 73 And did not the Lord say unto his disciples that he had other sheep which were not of this fold, and that he must bring them also unto the Father by teaching them his gospel? From the Bible: ------- John 10: 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 72 Yea, did not the Lord call these holy prophets and give unto them his commandments and teach unto them his gospel, which is the plan of the Father? And are we not all children of one God, even the Creator of our spirits, and the Creator who set in motion this system and order of nature that revolveth around the sun that He created to give life unto this planet on which we live? 18 And I have explained unto you that the Lord is no respecter of persons; and that one nation is just as important to him as another. And he sendeth forth his prophets among all his children, even unto as many as will hear his words. Few examples of Prophets from the different cultures: Akhenaton, prophet pharaoh of the Egyptian nation --------- 114 And the Holy Ghost came upon Akhenaton, and he believed the things which he had been taught by Ubaid. And in this manner, the Lord prepared a way whereby the Egyptian nation could receive his words, even by way of one of their kings. 122 And it came to pass that Akhenaton sat upon the throne of Egypt after his father died. And he caused the things that he had learned from Ubaid to be taught to the people. And he also withdrew the government support previously given to the priests of the other gods, and caused all to worship one god, even the God that he had been taught to worship by Ubaid. Confucius and Lao-tse ----------- 64 And I also have mentioned to you of Kung-fu-tse and Lao-tse, who were sent unto the people who are the descendants of Beneli and Cain; and these were sent at the beginning of the period known as the times. Zarathustra, the great prophet of the Persian empire --------- 56 And the Lord called Zarathustra to be a prophet and preach the things that he had learned from the angel, and also those things that he had learned from the ministrations of the Spirit in his youth. And he was taught the plan of God, who was called Ahura Mazda according to the language and the customs of the people. Mohammed ------ 44 And Jesus spoke unto Mohammed, calling him by name and teaching many things unto him which he had taught to his disciples during the days of his earthly ministry. 63 And now, the Lord did not want Mohammed to use the name of Jesus Christ among the people to whom he would be sent to teach his gospel. And the reason for which he commanded this of Mohammed, was because those who professed to be followers of Jesus Christ, even the Christians who were already many upon the earth, had corrupted the true gospel of the Father by the name of Jesus Christ. 70 And it came to pass that Mohammed went forth among the people and taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ, or the gospel of Allah, as he had been instructed by the Lord to give unto the people. Gautama or Budha and Rishabha --------------- 66 And they were called Gautama, who was later called Buddha, and Rishabha. 67 And these were both holy prophets who taught the people the plan of the Father, having received their instruction and their callings from the Lord in their own times. --------------- 69 And in the latter days there shall be many religions and divers churches which preach many forms of these religions. But the main religions of the latter days shall be those which are based upon the corrupted teachings of these holy prophets that I have mentioned in this record. 70 Behold, these religions shall be known as the Muslim, and the Hindu, and the Buddhist and the Jew, and the Christian. And from these shall come forth many sects, each teaching many different forms of these religions. 71 And now, these things have been made known unto you that ye might know the mind and the will of the Father concerning all of His children. 78 And it came to pass that when these great prophets of whom I have made mention died, their followers began to corrupt their teachings, and in many ways changing the pure gospel that was given unto them by these prophets. 79 And after they had corrupted their teachings, they began to teach for doctrine the precepts and commandments of men mingled with the enlightened words of wisdom given by these prophets. 80 And in this way Satan was able to subvert the plan of God and put in place his own plan, which plan hath caused exceedingly misery and pain among the children of men. --------------- 37 Behold, when the Lord cometh in his glory, he shall uncover all things and show unto the children of men that which he hath done for their salvation. 38 And when the Lord shall present unto the world the records of my people, then shall ye know that the record of my father is true; and ye shall also know that this record which I shall seal up is true. 39 And because of the things which are written herein, many of you, who have mocked these things, shall weep and wail and gnash your teeth because of that which ye would not accept when it was given unto you in plainness.

At 50, I decided to switch into reverse and to direct my time and energy from outwards unto inwards. Leaving job, church, family, friends, location and country. Heading for an unknown future within myself. This paradigm shift with space for solitude to find and maintain balance revealed the essence of life. This essence so brilliantly put into words of these ten sentences has extended my life by a restart.
@@lilimario8044 I have watched his videos. It can be a passive experience, where reading his books are not. I have also read Gary Smalleys books and videos. First thing is to remind the physical man he doesn't have much spiritual man. It was never my choice to be born. Only the lust from my parents. But I am, I won't say stuck, given life. Its depressing.
I just happened to see this video and I am looking forward to learn more about Taoism. It tells me how to lead my life to have peace and tranquility. Its message is so different from the Western way of thinking which is causing so much anxiety in our life. We need Spiritualism like TAO to counteract the evils of excessive materialism. I am looking forward to future videos . Please keep them coming.
Interesting how things appear when you are ready for them. I already knew all of the things mentioned here, but KNOWING and knowing are different things and today I feel like I am hearing this for the first time. I clearly needed to hear all of this today. I will take this away and rethink what is going on in my head. Thank you :)
Caroltrendall63, likewise. I'm looking for philosophies to help me better understand the world. The other philosophies I've delved into have outrun their course. I started listening to Lao Tzu's audiobook numerous times over the past year and for some reason didn't stay with it. I came across this clip today while researching how to better understand the world and I'm so happy with this intro into his philosophy. Your comment was the icing on top. Best wishes on your journey!
I've already heard what's in the video many times, but reading your comment has allowed me to open up about a certain situation I'm in as well. Really is interesting how things appear when you're ready for them.

Pay no attention to evil and it will crumble away. This is the key with too much evil around me especially in work place, hopefully this piece of advice will help me arrest those evils and let them crumble away.
Thank you for show casing my favorite philosopher. Last night I had a discussion with a friend about this teachings. This morning, this video showed up on my screen. I am so glad and grateful to have the opportunity to revisit Lao Tzu's teachings; I feel affirmed, enriched, and fulfilled. The teachings here are profound, pertinent, and relevant to the current conditions and situations. May this sacred teachings bless and enlighten us, and may love and compassion lead us into our best self and peace. Thank You for sharing. :-)
Lao Tzu he explained that Taoism or Tao (way/method)had no explanation. If it's explained, it simply is not a correct Tao. Very ambitious it is and Taoism has been used in China to enslave ppl and put them in superstitious practice...
I happened upon this video completely by chance and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I have long been mindful of the words from Lao Tzu and love the messages in his words. Also, I find it inspiring that the messages in the words of many stoics are so similar. Interesting that even across great distances and time, we have so much in common with each other and the great philosophers of yesterday and today. This is a good thing. It is even a better thing that we all participate the way we do in this ever so complicated technological age we live in with people such as, Philosophies of Life and of course, many others. I don’t think it’s as important as to who is sharing the wisdom of the ages, as it is we take in all the teachings of the great philosophers and pass it on to others. Whether it be a TH-cam video, a well-known documentary, or a book, just pass it on, because that’s what really makes the difference folks... Have a great Today!
I call myself and all others 'WIZARDS' but my definition of what that means is all here in this short, brilliant Taoism burst! Thank you so much. To me, living the WAY is life!
This is one of the most powerful videos on youtube. Easily. If you can't recognize the lessons in this video, you have a long way to go but just be "curious" enough to go on the "journey".
YOUR WORK IS UNPRECEDENTED! Let’s face it: absolute majority of us never hold a philosophical book in hand and perhaps never will! Yet - You took thousands of years of western and eastern wisdom and managed to present such a complex matters in such an exciting, understandable to everyone way! Bravo
@@jaimeleask5463 I looked it up, but what is it about in your own words? It seems like a looot of reading, do you feel it was superior to the resources/videos on TH-cam in your experience?
There is so much inspires i learned from these remarkable lessons, but for me the last one "Always go with the flow" is a high priority: Let it be done in its nature ways.
I found this exposé of this great Master to be much more inspiring than I would have imagined. So much wisdom, from so far away in time. I will search out a book or books on this great man, so that I may better study his ideas. Thank you for posting.
There are three main books to read. Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching, The works of Chuang Tzu. (The famous story "I dreamt I was a butterfly..." is from Chuang Tzu) And the works of Lieh Tzu: www.amazon.com/Book-Lieh-tzu-new-translation-Graham/dp/B000I078L6/ref=sr_1_6 “Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”-Chaung Tzu
This is the most excellent teaching I have heard so far on this topic. I am tremendously inspired and we'll informed by this video, thank you so much for your compassion in producing this posting. Richard D'Cruz, Malaysia.
To focus on pronunciation instead of content is lack of humility and wisdom. I thoroughly enjoyed the content of this video and look forward to learning more from the Tao.
Mispronunciation of a word can lead to misunderstanding, which of course should be avoided whenever possible. Especially when the message is of consequence.
Yeah Taoism is good people can see it in everyday life but I think its Important to be kind, honest , humble, and also let things happen naturally and not force things too much, Thank You! The Tao is great!
I love it💙. Thank you for this video. This is really great. If everyone will observe and practice this way, I'm pretty sure there will be no war. War comes from within due to pride over religion, greed over power and money, hatred and jealousy. We are all connected to each other. If most of us are able to practice this way, the world be will peaceful.
I have a good analogy for what wuwei is. When you play a game that involves both luck and skill, you often get frustrated on the luck side of the game. Instead, if you try to look at what mistakes you've made, you could improve and become better. Put effort in what you can control, instead of getting frustrated over the things you have no control on.
An excellent documentary and illuminating teaching,I think I have grasped the essential message the presenter is trying to convey to us through this very precise and concise coherent treatise,tq so much,I have benefited greatly from this enlightening commentary..Richard D Cruz, Malaysia.
I have chills, all my life I’ve felt these things and do my best in everything I do, I’m kind and feed everyone who comes to my house. I’m also very grateful that I’m always rich with happiness, not wealthy but very happy within myself. My health issues are painful and as I live with that it doesn’t matter in comparison to what many families and CHILDREN are hungry, bullied by war mongers, railroaded from THEIR HOMES and stolen, trafficked or … even worse, while I have a pillow, blanket and roof! JESUS and Lao Tzu have much in common. The Ten Commandments have been my guide back to Heaven one special day, so with faith behind me, there’s no fear of passing away.
@@sayittomyfaceortapglassfar4392 Forget about the Ten Commandments. Lao Tzu has no commandment, and Jesus has one: Love God. May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.
Thank you for creating this channel. I started studying Taoism 1970 during my hippie days. Funny huh. I consider myself a free spirit ready to help others with their day to night yin yang they have gotten tangled in. Mostly it's all in their perceptions of anything and everything in their life.

Thank you for this beautiful video . I love reading Tao Te Ching and it is clear that Lao Tzu was a fully realized being. His teachings are simple yet profound. I find it similar to my school's teachings (Drukama ). I would suggest anyone seriously seeking to checking it out. It is really hard to find authentic teaching in this age so we better take advantage of it :)
Love this video; super inspiring ideas, narrative and explanation of the teachings are easy to understand, and the visuals are effectively simple. I've been waiting for this educational video. Heard of Lao Tzu and his teachings. This video makes it easy to focus and listen to learn the essence of the teachings. Thank you for sharing this post.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of watching your video concerning Taoism. It will lead me to resilience, serenity, compassion, insight into one s own nature and into the nature of suffering, ie putting others first all the time. I will go with Tao s flow and believe in myself not needing the approval of others. I will try for kind and compassionate rational thoughts E. A. D. 16.12.2021
Can we say Taoism was formed and established by the influence of Zoroastrianism/Mazdaism. Here is why, in my opinion, and I like the discussion about it: 1. Tao means "The way". So as "Daena" or "Din" in Persian. 2. Remarkable wisdom in Taoism, and Ahura Mazda (The lord of Wisdom) in Zoroastrianism. 3. The message of Peace in Taoism, and Message of Humanity (Vohumainu) in Zoroastrianism. 4. "Look within and you find everything you need" in Taoism, and the idea of "Personal Development (from hell to heaven/Paradise on earth)" in Zoroastrianism. 5. Describing nature in Duality (Yin-Yang) of Taoism, and describing the world in duality (darkness-light) of Zoroastrianism. More fascinatingly, recently, I realized a potential similarity between the word "Dao" to the word "Dow" in Persian (or other Iranian lingo). Dow just means the number "two" and thus "Daoism" is like "Dowism" (or more philosophically "dualism"). 6. "Give evil nothing to oppose, and it will disappear by itself" in Taoism, and "Darkness and Ahriman is just the absence of Light and Wisdom/Mazda" in Zoroastrianism. 7. Embracing the whole world in Taoism, and equality of all humans, genders, cultures, and religions in Cyrus the great government (who was the follower of Zarathustra). 8. "Flow of yuen sun" of the body in Taoism, and "Flow of the warmth of Fire (flame of fire)" in Zoroastrianism. 9. "Bad is anything damage the flow of Yuen Sun" in Taoism, "Bad is what creates anger (Angra-mainu)" in Zoroastrianism. 10. "Kind and compassion" in Taoism, and "Love" in Zoroastrianism. The word Mithra means compassion. 11. Emphasis on "Change" in Taoism, Emphasize in "Progressive Mentality" in Zoroastrianism. 12. Many of the teachings (such as non-attachments, labeling, ...) are heavily emphasized in Sufism which is originated in Zarathustra's message to revive his message after the Arab invasion of Persia! What do you think?
@The Working Dead :D! You are right. sometimes it is necessary as in the two cases you mentioned! :). But nevertheless, my point was not whether these teachings are "absolutely" correct or not! My point was to mention the similarities and understand any possible influences between these two schools of thoughts.
@Eric Hughes Two problems in your five-word short comment, which indicate how stupid a person can be (two logical problems in a five-word sentence): 1. "Persian nationalist ": How do you know what I am? I am against any sort of nationalism. All I am debating is some philosophical and historical hypothesis. Besides, how do you know I am an Iranian at all? 2. "Delusional": which part of my comments alludes to delusion?
No, that's just the surface looks similar, the Taoist is very old, it is related to the primitive nature worship religion. There is a difference between "Philosophical Taoism(道家)" and "Religious Taoism(道教)" in Chinese . "Religious Taoism" is based on "Philosophical Taoism. In English,Religious Taoism and Philosophical Taoism are collectively called Taoist。Non-Chinese do not distinguish between Religious Taoism and Philosophical Taoism, causing them to misunderstand Taoism.Obviously, the "Taoist" you refer to here is "Religious Taoism", not "Philosophical Taoism". Philosophical Taoism is much older.
@@MrLi-fd4hs 1. I do not know what are these simbols (道家, 道教) so I cant tell if I agree with you or not! 2. "the Taoist is very old": Wikipedia English says it belongs to 500 BCE. So still younger than Mazdaism (Zoroasterianism). 3. " it is related to the primitive nature worship religion": So as Mithraism. Mithraism is even older than Mazdaism. Mithra is the most important helper of Ahura Mazda and thus was praised alot, by Zarathustra himself.
I actually like the last chapter a lot. “The Master has no possessions. The more he does for others, the happier he is. The more he gives to others, the wealthier he is.”
When you try to learn about life and be conscious of the ways of the universe and then you find out there is a video proving the things you've gathered over the years. :)
Both spellings are proper. Technically, the most correct enunciation of the word is like the unaspirated 't' in 'stop'. In mandarin chinese, Taoism and Daoism sound identical if enunciated like this.
Also pronounced Lay-Oh. But I guess you can say a name however ya want. 🤷🏼♂️ Thank you for all of your hard work and exhausting time in making these videos for us. I appreciate you. 🙏🏻
This is an absolutely fantastic philosphy an religeon. I am.a qigong instructor an am noe delving more into the history an philosphies attatched to it. This sounds like a beautiful way to live an a path I am starting to follow now. Thanks. It is very interesting video an informative too. It all makes so much sense.
Hi, Thank you. Daoism is difficult, very difficult to understand. Thus it is interesting to read and understand the books which explain clearly what it is. To practice Qi Gong on a daily basis is also very useful and very peaceful. Thank you.
Thank you for the video Friends.....Remember Brothers n Sisters......Water is very very important.....Be leyek water......Its a daily practice for sure. The HUMILITY part is the most EYE received out of this....thank you very much..Health and Peace is wished for All.....
That's the point. You cannot have Good without evil, Yin without Yang, Day without night and on and on. Life is all about embracing the duality of reality. Hope it helps :)
@@indianstig2324 Those are labels though. You can't say not to label things and then have a great big label at the bottom of your heuristic, it makes no sense.
What a fantastic video! Wanted to learn more about Taoism and wow, blown away by the information you presented and the way you presented it. So glad that I came across your channel. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. 😀
Let go of your ego. Your thoughts about yourself and others are not real, they are just illusions you are refusing to let go off. Dissolving your ego is the way to see reality. Im just glad im realizing how wrong i have been, and how i don't have to hold on to my pride by not admitting that i am wrong. My proudness have been a cowards defence against the reality. I wanna let go of any resistance and go with the energy flow of universe/multiverse. "Truth shall set you free"
Letting go is being a loser, defeated, surrendered, failed, given up, .... So sad !!! That's not Daoism. Daoism is about letting be but never let go. Winners have no mistake, only losers make mistakes. One's ego is one's dignity and one's identity. No one should be a nobody. Okay ? May the love and the peace of Jesus be with us.
I recommend this path to the utmost, especially if you feel 'stuck' in your current methods. A good place to start for those interested is to find a local or not so local Tai Chi, Qigong or Baguazhang teacher. Most major metro areas in the U.S. have authentic lineages, especially New York City, Washington DC Area, Dallas, Minneapolis, the Tri-Cities area, etc. It has also caught on well in London. There are also abundant resources online. Taoist meditation methods will result in great physical health and strength, long life, and lead directly to enlightenment. Also, Lao Tze (Mandarin speakers say it closer to 'Dzuh') was part of a much older line of teachers, but his were among the earliest teachings to be widely propagated.
Are humans not living creatures? And are we (I'm assuming) not both humans? I mean, it's odd to exclude humans from this equation when that's what we are. Doesn't seem very natural.
you should do a video on the zhuangzi. it’s a book that takes these philosophies laid down by laozi and makes them more understandable through parables and stories. it’s my favorite taoist book.
hey man, love your videos! just wanted to bring up, maybe for the sake of those listening on headphones, it would be worth trying out recording your voiceover with the mic above your mouth and pointed down. this actually serves to naturally reduce the plosives (harsh "S's" and "T's" and such) in your voice, where as having the mic underneath your mouth and pointed up will cause the plosives in your voice to become much more pronounced. try it out sometime! you can easily record a clip of your voice saying something with lots of plosives, with both mic setups in order to compare and contrast! I think it could be a great help as tbh it is hard to listen to your videos with headphones as the plosives in your voice are really harsh.
Just wow.. Amazing video. I don't know why people criticizing. Speed, pronounces are less important then information & content. Intent & efforts should be appreciated, if not then at least should be criticized. Keep doing good work.
Hey, hope you all like this video. Probably by next week, we will change the name of this channel from ‘Downtown Success’ to ‘Philosophies for Life’, since this channel is all about using ancient philosophies for modern day success. Do let us know your thoughts…..Thank you.

Jesus Christ’s Visit To The Other Cultures Of The Earth:
---------------
AND now, there are other sheep that the Lord visited to whom he taught the will of the Father in all things. For the Father had commanded His Son to give His gospel unto all of His children.
73 And did not the Lord say unto his disciples that he had other sheep which were not of this fold, and that he must bring them also unto the Father by teaching them his gospel?
From the Bible:
-------
John 10: 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Few examples of Prophets from the different cultures:
Akhenaton, prophet pharaoh of the Egyptian nation
---------
114 And the Holy Ghost came upon Akhenaton, and he believed the things which he had been taught by Ubaid.
Confucius and Lao-tse
-----------
64 And I also have mentioned to you of Kung-fu-tse and Lao-tse, who were sent unto the people who are the descendants of Beneli and Cain; and these were sent at the beginning of the period known as the times.
Zarathustra, the great prophet of the Persian empire
---------
56 And the Lord called Zarathustra to be a prophet and preach the things that he had learned from the angel, and also those things that he had learned from the ministrations of the Spirit in his youth. And he was taught the plan of God, who was called Ahura Mazda according to the language and the customs of the people.
Mohammed
------
44 And Jesus spoke unto Mohammed, calling him by name and teaching many things unto him which he had taught to his disciples during the days of his earthly ministry.
Gautama or Budha and Rishabha
---------------
66 And they were called Gautama, who was later called Buddha, and Rishabha.
67 And these were both holy prophets who taught the people the plan of the Father, having received their instruction and their callings from the Lord in their own times.
---------------
69 And in the latter days there shall be many religions and divers churches which preach many forms of these religions.

38 And when the Lord shall present unto the world the records of my people, then shall ye know that the record of my father is true; and ye shall also know that this record which I shall seal up is true.

The works of Chuang Tzu. (The famous story "I dreamt I was a butterfly..." is from Chuang Tzu)
And the works of Lieh Tzu: www.amazon.com/Book-Lieh-tzu-new-translation-Graham/dp/B000I078L6/ref=sr_1_6
“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly.

Instead, if you try to look at what mistakes you've made, you could improve and become better. Put effort in what you can control, instead of getting frustrated over the things you have no control on.

My best friend, Lao Tzu.
Ive been studying this life style for a few years and its all enlightening when I see you write it down.
Can we say Taoism was formed and established by the influence of Zoroastrianism/Mazdaism. Here is why, in my opinion, and I like the discussion about it:

@The Working Dead
:D! You are right. sometimes it is necessary as in the two cases you mentioned! :). But nevertheless, my point was not whether these teachings are "absolutely" correct or not! My point was to mention the similarities and understand any possible influences between these two schools of thoughts.
@Eric Hughes
Two problems in your five-word short comment, which indicate how stupid a person can be (two logical problems in a five-word sentence):
@@MrLi-fd4hs

Hey, it’s Pronouned Daoist. Not Taoist. I know it’s spelt that way but it’s just because of poor romanization of the original word.
道
@@yoyo-vn3qd 道教 in Japanese is pronounced Dokyo. 道 in Chinese is Dao. Hence, we butchered it when we romanized the word.
Both spellings are proper. Technically, the most correct enunciation of the word is like the unaspirated 't' in 'stop'. In mandarin chinese, Taoism and Daoism sound identical if enunciated like this.

TAOISIM is the basic foundation of our Human Life.

Truly amazing.....now I realize how and why I have been trending this way....
I tried to practice this, but I just ended up sleeping and watching TV all day.
Also, Lao Tze (Mandarin speakers say it closer to 'Dzuh') was part of a much older line of teachers, but his were among the earliest teachings to be widely propagated.

you should do a video on the zhuangzi. it’s a book that takes these philosophies laid down by laozi and makes them more understandable through parables and stories. it’s my favorite taoist book.
hey man, love your videos! just wanted to bring up, maybe for the sake of those listening on headphones, it would be worth trying out recording your voiceover with the mic above your mouth and pointed down. this actually serves to naturally reduce the plosives (harsh "S's" and "T's" and such) in your voice, where as having the mic underneath your mouth and pointed up will cause the plosives in your voice to become much more pronounced. try it out sometime! you can easily record a clip of your voice saying something with lots of plosives, with both mic setups in order to compare and contrast! I think it could be a great help as tbh it is hard to listen to your videos with headphones as the plosives in your voice are really harsh.
This is so helpful and thus kind. Your efforts are much appreciated and I wish you a lovely fruitful life my friend 🙏🏼🌷
