I have a few but that one was a 8 black pearl as well.
I have three poles setup as 20lb, 40lb and 65lb, all with braided line. I caught a 24-25in Red on the 40lb rig and it was nice I had him on that one.
Don't need 40lb for reds. 10-20 is fine.
I usually throw 10lb braid but def need heavier tackle around the docks
You should go try the docks by 3 sisters. Holds a lot of sheepshead and snapper!

I’d try a cheap combo from wal mart with some live shrimp. Then check out some piers in Inglewood and boca grande.

No right now it's everywhere and I don't use that much. Yes I think thats the mesh on my bigger net.
