"This weapon was adopted by the Canadian Army as the C1 SMG."
As well as the Galactic Empire as E-11 blaster rifle.

The Sterling C1 sub machine gun, or just "SMG", as it was called, served the Canadian military from the mid-1950s to the mid-1980s. My interest in the SMG has been revived, as I'm planning to buy an airsoft version of this weapon.
For the past five or six years, I've been a member of the South Manitoba Rifles airsoft team. The SMR is a MilSim team, composed mainly of former Canadian Forces members. The team patterns itself after a Canadian infantry company from the 1980s. In recent years, the team has participated in Operation East Wind, a now defunct nine day long MilSim operation held in Oklahoma. Looking ahead, we now plan to participate in a similar event to be held September 2017 in the neighbouring state of Minnesota.

The SMG C1 was based on the Sterling SMG, but it was made by Canadian Arsenal Limited (CAL), which made changes to the design so it was easier and cheaper to manufacture. Because of this, it was never offically called a Sterling. If you held a Sterling in one hand and a SMG C1 in the other you quickly note the finish is different. There are a few other things like the SMG C1 had a 30 round magazine and 10 round magazine (rarely used), the Sterling a roller 32 round magazine. All the same both are find small arms.

It was called the L2A3 which I still have the training manual for when I was first a Master Corporal then then later as a Captain.

Really cool looking sub immediately you know it's British because of just how quirky they are but a really nice rate of fire easy to control and killer looks what else do you need?

That isn't true at all. I fired one of these whilst in the Army Cadets and they were very accurate.
Worn our rifling, crap ammunition, poor shooter or not being zeroed correctly are the causes for poor accuracy, the weapon itself is fine.

@@straponsandstuff93r99 it was my personal weapon whilst in the Army . Up to 30m with fixed iron sights at a standard target it was ok, but anything past that and forget it.

Useless weapon, could not hit a man sized target at 60yds with 30 rounds using small burst from the hip.
