This really came out good,my family didn't believe I made them. Very good tutorial. ❤
Thank you. I watch several videos but yours seemed the easiest. Thank you for the simple and not too much explaining 😅
Thank you so much!!! I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how to put the lining in a stocking I needlepointed. Cheers!
This is perfect. I've looked through 3 stocking tutorials just now and this one is definitely the right one for me. Thank you!
Your video is very helpful. I plan on making Christmas stockings for the kids I babysit and thanks to your video I know more or less what to do.
Great tut. in my mind this is how I thought it would, just needed a visual! I plan to make about 30 of these, fill them up so my son and I can donate them to a kids shelter in our town. Happy Holidays!
excellent video thank u. I have not done the project yet but the more i watch your videos the more i get to understand how to sew
It’s funny, when I first saw how you were using your hands, I just knew you were baby wearing when you shot this. Love it.
My daughter, who is 8, is learning to sew and wanted to make a stocking. Out of all of the videos to watch, yours was the easiest to follow along with. Thanks so much. We have made 5 so far. :)
I didn't think it was too long... it was perfect. Thanks for posting, you're really easy to listen to.
My husband and daughter made Christmas stockings
today, and they’re super proud of them. Thank you for the tutorial!
I agree that it will be too stiff. But it would still be a cute stocking. If that's what you have go for it! Have fun!
I loved that tiny iron.
What a brilliant tutorial! You have explained things in a way my textiles teacher 25 years ago never could! I'm making these for my kids for next christmas. Thank u
Your such a pro, as im subscribed but i came across this on a general google search, im so glad i did! best stocking tutorial EVER!
thanks
I didn't know you could do that with freezer paper so cool thank you.
Thanks for the tutorial. You made it possible for me to make my two youngest Grandchildren Christmas stockings. This was my first sewing project and it was done on a 13 dollar thrift store sewing machine. I never could have made done it without your help. Thank you so very much. Merry Christmas.
I've looked at tons of videos on how to make a stocking and yours is the most easiest to follow..I'm a beginner sewer. Thanks for such great instructions.
All of your videos are great and easy to understand.
I watched other tutorials, and this was the only one that made sense! love this. thank you!
made my own stocking today using this tutorial and I have to say it was awesome and very easy to follow! My stocking turned out beautiful, I even eliminated the batting entirely and still its a 10/10!
10 years later and hands down the easiest stocking tutorial. Thanks!
Seen a lot of tutorials on Christmas stockings some folks make this pretty complicated! Thank you for your simple method!
Best stocking video. Thank you for being clear and straightforward.
Hi, I went ahead and made it out of felt, it was actually very easy to work with and not to stiff, it was easy to embroider on as well, turned out great, next time i will use cloth.
If you live in the US you can get it at any grocery store. It's usually by the aluminum foil. I usually can find the Reynolds brand. Good luck!
This has got to be one of the best sewing tutorials I've seen, bearing in mind that I'm a complete beginner. I bought my fabric and cannot wait to have a go at this!
Thank you for your stocking video. You explained everything perfectly and simply.
This is a wonderful tutorial. I used it to refresh my sewing skills to make a Christmas Stocking as a project with my new Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000. Thanks for sharing!
You can do a google search for a "free christmas stocking template" and I'm sure you'll find a bunch. Have fun!
I love the idea of notches...and i want to get an iron like yours..so much better than using my big iron
Thank you you are an excellent teacher!
Amazing video, right on point. Thank you so easy to follow
I love how you do each tutorial so efficiently and so clearly!
Aside from your obvious love and talent for sewing, you are a very good instructor. :) Thank you!
Thank You ,Thank You ,,for a non sewing person the results were so great! Great Job!

Great Tutorial - just finished my Harry Potter Christmas stocking with your tutorial. Thank you!
I have to say that’s the cutest iron I have ever seen!! Lol
Girl you are so amazing!
Thank you so much for posting this video and have a very merry Christmas
Thank you so much for posting this. I want to go to Spain next year to walk the el Camino Road to Santiago de Compostela, and need to raise $4,000. That's mainly for airfare. I am old, and I've wanted to do this since I was in my 20's when I ran and was still in ballet and worked out, etc. -- I am 61 now, and if I can raise the funds, I will be 62 the month I go. I sew, but I am not an expert by any means. I can, however, sew a straight line and make ruffles. Your tutorial was so easy to follow and I am going now to my machine -- my Brother, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE and try my hand at making one -- Blessings to you and your family at the beginning of this season of peace and love -- much appreciation and best regards, Patricia
Fab tutorial easy to follow and no long winded explanations great.
Thanks for a great tutorial!
I seriously love watching your videos. Thank You!!!
To crafty Gemini. Thank you for making this video, It helped me to sew my first stocking together and made it very easy. Thank you again
You are amazing! Great instructional video! Thanks!
Straight ro the point easy directions in your tutorial. Thank you!
Very nice video. Thanks so much! It really helps to see it.
NICE JOB GIRL .. THANK YOU !!
I was able to use your tutorial today for a stocking with an Aida cuff for cross stitching. I tried a different way for the cuff, too bulky. The way you attach the cuff is so much easier, I added binding to the bottom of the Aida fabric to have a border. I’m a happy camper today.
Hey Vanessa just made a really cute stocking for my granddaughter . Thanks for super clear tutorials . Wish I was tec savy enough to post a pic . Happy Holidays from our family of fans!
i think you are great at making these decors and you are so articulate about how its done too. it makes whatever you are doing soooo easy. how cute of an iron you got there by the way!!!!
I am so thankful for your tutorial and proud of my work!
You mean the batting? Then the stocking may look a little flimsy. You can try fusing some lightweight interfacing to your fabrics instead to help add a little extra body. Good luck!
Omg that’s a neat iron! Too cool! Plus thanks for helping as i do cross stitch ones and usually sew lining to front then to back and then put together. I haven’t seen it this easily explained. Thumbs up!
WOW! That's just awesome! So glad to hear it! Thanks for stopping by. :o)
thank you so much for your simple to understand explanations! They are very helpful!
You can do that but the lining won't hang loosely inside the stocking. It's also done so that the top edge is pulled in towards the stocking and you don't have any exposed seam edges. But I'm sure the other way would work.. I just like the finished look using this method better.
love this tutorial, thank you so much for the easy to follow video and instructions. my daughter loves it! x
Hi Vanessa, I really like this holiday stocking. I'm definitely going to give this one a try. Thanks
Watched a few tutorials on making stockings yours is the best you make it easy to follow.

Excellent tutorial! I want to make stockings for my family, and this was sooo easy to follow, especially for a non-sewer like myself. At least I have 12 months to make them. thanks again!

Thank you for the detailed tutorial 👍
excellent video, thanks for posting!!
Enjoyed watching a video on the subject that finally made sense to me ! Your demonstrations are clear and to the point.. very professional. You clearly explain and demonstrate each step. You do not ramble on. Keep up the great work ! Do you know how to do a stocking with a loose cuff ? A cuff not sewn on to the outside of the socking but only sewn to the lining? I would appreciate a demo on that type of cuff. Thank you !
No problem. Glad you enjoy them. :o)
I love the way you make the most of the fabric.ive seen many tutes and as a older sewer that was taught to use all fabric to its limit it drives me nuts seeing sewers put patterns right in the middle of a huge piece of fabric lol it sends my no waste attitute crazy lololol yup a little ocd . Lovely stockings well done
hand made with love by tracey and justin n

Thanks for the great video's
I'll add your suggestion to my list. Thanks!
Thanks! I love it too! I have two of 'em. The info on where you can get the iron is in the video description box above.. in case you were interested. :o)
wow, thank you for the tutorial! thanks!
Thanks!
Omg dats such a cute mini iron!! Awwww
G;lad it worked for you! Thanks for stopping by. :o)
I sew a lot and I enjoyed this tutorial, but I am using fleece and the batting won't be necessary using fleece as it would make it too thick. If you are using cotton, that's a little different. Also, to make the cuff, make the stocking longer, follow the sewing directions with the lining space to turn the stocking inside out. When you have done that, make a real cuff at the top, tack it down by handsewing it and hand sew the tie loop to the back. It's my version of it and I think it takes less time. Since I am looking to make about 10 of these, it seems like the streamlined way to go. This visual was helpful and even with my own modifications, I appreciated this as well. Oh, just love that mini iron. Wow where did you find that? I could really use one.
Thank you so much this was a great help on how to do this.
