There are really innocent people in prisons across the country and knowing this we shouldn't support the death penalty. It's not enough to exonerate one's name after they have been executed and evidence comes out after the execution that the person was innocent

Agreed. But in this day and age of wokeness there’s always a chance The criminal will be pardoned. We shouldn’t be hearing the post execution details because nobody should care. His life should’ve been termed after it was proven he committed the crime. End of story no glory no gratification no remorse. Any media time spent should be what society can do for the victim And how they’ve gotten along in the past 25 years knowing this man was still alive and capable of being released think about that think about the peace of mind they have for all those years

Don't worry hell is there for those who don't Believe the Gospel of your Salvation which is, that Jesus Christ was Crucified, buried and rose on the 3rd day according to Scriptures and He shed His Precious Blood on the Cross for the Forgiveness of All Our sins so that we might Repent and Believe Him that we might obtain Eternal Life. Jesus is The Narrow Way and only a few find it but there is also a Broadway and there are many who enter it but the end of this way is Destruction. Don't be that person who prefers the Broadway because it is also Eternal. Today is the Day of Salvation because tomorrow is Not Promised. Believe The LORD Jesus Christ and you Shall be Saved for you do not know if there will be a tomorrow. Many people believe that once you die that's the End but that is far from the Truth, There is hell it is for real. Many people also believe in purgatory but the Truth is that there is no such thing as purgatory that is taught in the Catholic churches actually when you die you can no longer make a choice, the choice is now this very moment. So choose now, Will you Repent and Believe Jesus or Will you reject Him and condemn yourself.

Did you expect smiling and laughter? I'm sure no one takes any pleasure in witnessing a person die. And ultimately there is a victim in all this. A lady lost her life. It was time to remember her and hopefully see the end of that chapter of her families life. We don't have the death penalty in the UK and I'm glad we don't. The perpetrator might be dead, but what about his family? They're not guilty of his crime but they have lost a member of their family. No one wins. The victim is still dead. Homicides will continue to be committed. There is no deterrent in this sentence; check the statistics.

He got euthanasia, a lot of people with terminal ilnesses would prefer that than the pain and suffering, I know I would, I watched my mother die of cancer and it was horrific. I know of others who spew up their own bowels, quite literally. The 20 or 25 year jail sentence is a waste of the taxpayers money, in this era with DNA and accurate forensics, 5 years max should be the jail sentence and then the penalty. Think of all that money that could have been saved keeping him in jail, it could have housed homeless people or the money used for people that are very sick or Terminally ill. It doesn't make sense keeping them alive all these years beforehand, it's pointless and senseless.

He very well mayh NOT be the same man that took the life of that poor woman, and if anyone professes to be a Christian redemption is always possible. The thing is, he will not find it on this earth, he did an act that cannot be taken back, a sorry won't fix it, but he can find redemption if he seeks it. As for closure? That is a myth. Peace can be found but this won't do it. There will be no closure for his daughter.

He would have begged for forgiveness from God and from his victims whom he martyred. He is now cut off from God for eternity. That is a period that is impossible to fathom.

I think that there are two things to look at here: Does the death penalty end the suffering of those loved ones of the victim? Secondly which part of the lengthy drawn out process of incarceration until the death penalty is carried out or they die of natural causes whilst incarcercerated for 26 years is better punishment for the perpetrator? The cost of keeping the perpetrator incarcerated versus administrating the death penalty almost immediately after sentence is pronounced are both substantial. Personally, I believe that the perpetrator suffers more the longer it takes to commute the sentence especially being given hope that they might get their sentence reduced and then that hope is wiped out again and again. Remember that the perpetrator has family on the outside who are innocent and can't just turn off their feelings about their loved ones. We need to show them compassion.
