  • AC power supply system without earthing, ungrounded, isolated or insulated neutral and its advantage & application is explained in this video. The difference between grounded and ungrounded systems is explained. The difference between insulated and earthed neutral systems is explained. The effect of 1st earth fault and multiple earth faults or 2nd fault is explained.
    The Insulated neutral can be got by using one isolation transformer. Insulated AC supply is used in ships, train engines, the chemical industry, and telecommunication. The use of isolating transformer in an insulated neutral system (floating neutral) is explained.
    An educational tutorial on the power supply system, electrical and electronics engineering 344 by G K Agrawal. The lecture is given by a person with circuit design and industrial experience.

    Good Morning Sir. Kindly make a video on how the current density of bare copper conduit is arrived.

    • @GKAgrawal2
      @GKAgrawal2  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no standard method. Current density allowed depends upon project, application, temperature range, past experience etc.
      If somebody new engineer calculate in a new company, then very soon they will realise that smoke is coming out at the project side, and current density will be reduced based on this. However again they will know that smoke is still coming out but during summer jun month only. Then again current density is reduced.
      But they will realise now that cu cable had become too thick, and there is no place in the equipment, so entire equipment design need to be changed.
      I think you understand now. That experience play lot of role in real world.
      However in college exam, only calculations and no experience.

    Excellent sir, I have one question u have explained in neutral grounded system if phase touches ground u said MCB trip
    But I think the current will start to flow to the ground that is a leakage current
    Am I correct sir
    Please correct me if I am wrong

    • @GKAgrawal2
      @GKAgrawal2  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is like leakage current. But this current flows in MCB also.
      This is actually short circuit current.
      We call it leakage current if it flows due to some high resistance path between line and earth, like dust, moisture, insulation failure etc.
      There is no legal language of currents. All currents are called with different names for understanding purpose only.
      If it is not your exam, then call it by your name like mailtoippan current. I myself has called one reactive power as agrawal power in our one project to exaplain others. You call it as you wish, but equipment should work.
      Legality comes when there is agreement between 2 parties. If it is for your design use then no problem.
      For example your friends and parents may call you by different names. No problem. But you cannot give different names to bank or office etc.
