The DA also cannot make decisions without the ANC, which is why it is a government of national unity.
No one has the absolute majority, even though the ANC has 40%.
The DA is not in charge, the ANC still has the most votes.

Lets built instead of trying to destroy SA. They need a spoke person to speak upon behalf of the government of national unity.
We're not going to build anything. The DA and ANC has absolute opposing manifestos. Let alone moral values. Besides, the ANC could've joined a coalition government with other African progressive parties in exclusion of the DA. The DA could and would never rule on the African soil. This was their best card to use against Ramaphosa as a get out of jail card for Phalaphala.
The DA doesn't have to make a decision, but the ANC can't decide on anything without them. Having most votes means nothing if you can't make decisions without the DA rubber-stamping them.
We'll have to way and see if that's the case.Who puts the last stamp on the decision paper.
The way DA is behaving l don't think they will consult they will be telling ANC what to do or what they have decided

Thanks for this. I’m not a supporter of the DA but I respect them for their wits. They have outmaneuvered the ANC of Ramaphosa to giving up real power without even seeing that they’ve abdicated. In reality the DA is in charge because they have moved their small percentage to 50% (30% of 60% threshold). In addition to this they have the IFP in the coalition which is just a front. If the IFP adds only 1% they the DA/IFP block has more power. Ramaphosa is dancing out there completely oblivious of what’s happening. But Ramaphosa and Mbalula are not alone in this; the entire NEC of Ramaphosa’s ANC is to blame.

When the ANC came into power, so many decades ago, they should have changed the apartheid laws that prevented the citizens of South Africans of colour, who worked so hard to build up the country, to live much better lives. Instead, they changed it to BEE! That is another form of apartheid! So many people of colour, and some Afrikaners and Europeans, fought against Apartheid! Many of them were murdered and some of them like George Peake, Barney Desai, Mr. Mandela, and many other Anti-Apartheid South African Citizens, were locked up on Robben Island! Some escaped. George Peake, escaped with the help of security guards on the island, who were paid a lot of money! I personally met Mr. George Peake, Mr. Mandela and Barney Desai! My late father-in -Law, supported the Peake family, who were their Neighbours, every week with funds, groceries and even clothes for their children, so I know how they suffered without a father!
George Peake passed away in the UK! His children are married and still living in the UK! How unfair isn't that? The childhood scars of what their parents, especially their dad experienced in his birth country, South Africa, due to having had a coloured skin, is tragic, sad and disgraceful! Then the Afrikaners call themselves CHRISTIANS! No one has ever seen God! I wonder what is going to happen on Judgement Day when God comes down on the clouds, and His skin is pitch Black! I am a SOUTH AFRICAN, not a Coloured, Black, Indian, or white person! God created everyone equal!
