FYI for everyone out there. Evan did a good job with this video. I just changed my 2010 Town & Country PCV valve this afternoon. I used the bolt/vice grips method. MATERIAL and TOOLS LIST: 5/16 x 2 in bolt, two 5/16 nuts, a modified rear drum brake spoon tool, a pair of channel locks, WD-40 spray. I modified the brake spoon tool by cutting a notch in the end so that it would fit the bolt (sort of like a trim removal tool). CAUTIONARY NOTE: I am always in the habit of removing my negative battery terminal when under the hood. PROCEDURE: (1) While facing the rear of the engine you will see a 'dog ear' protruding from the engine (about three or four inches to the right of the PCV valve). This will be your pivot point to rest the brake spoon tool on. Give the valve gasket a good squirt of WD-40. (2) Place the modified brake spoon against the bolt (with the nuts on...one against the vice grip, the other tightened on top of the spoon - resting on the 'dog ear.' (3) With the spoon firmly in place use the channel locks to grasp the free end of the brake spoon. (4) Apply a steady firm pressure to leverage out the PCV valve. Mine came out with a good yank! The grommet came out in one piece also. TIME REQUIRED: I think I spent twenty minutes from start to finishing reassembly. Good luck gentlemen! Sincerely, A retired Army mechanic.
thanks for the video, I m having problems taking it out as I was afraid to damage or break the stem. but I guess it has to be squeezed and pried with a screw driver, my van has over 200 km and it was never changed.. this is a great video. good job. and much appreciated.
You have no idea how lucky you were getting that out. many people have spent hours trying that way and end up with a bunch of broken pieces, many that have fallen insde
Brother i need your help please i by mistake the lines off the Canister Purge Valve and i dont know where both of the lines connects to please help me. thank you,
PewPew Bang If you look online you should be able to find a diagram for your vacuum lines. If not your local dodge dealership parts department could show you in a parts breakdown. That is if they are friendly enough.
PewPew Bang If you are unable to find anything or get any other help. I can make a video tracing the vacuum lines on the 3.8L v6 in a 2010 dodge grand caravan. The 3.8L is the same on model years 08 to 14 I believe.

I've seen them stick a bolt in the pcv toot, vice grip the toot with the bolt in it and use it for leverage to pry it out
