In this game there are joy and sorrow, virtue and vice, knowledge and ignorance, good and evil. The game cannot continue if sin and suffering are altogether eliminated from the creation. In the game of hide-and-seek one must touch the “granny” in order to be free. But the “granny” is never pleased if she is touched at the very outset. It is God’s wish that the play should continue for some time. Then- Out of a hundred thousand kites, at best but one or two break free; And Thou dost laugh and clap Thy hands, O Mother, watching them! In other words, after the practice of hard spiritual discipline, one or two have the vision of God, through His grace, and are liberated. Then the Divine Mother claps Her hands in joy and exclaims, “Bravo! There they go!”
The disciple, upon hearing these words, was then enlightened... Gratitude and Grace abound. My heart sings with sound profound. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for reaching and touching my soul. 🙏
I went shopping for spiritual teachers. I started with Ram Dass then Yogananda then I had a vision of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa on Maha Shivarathri. Still then I always end at Ramesh Balsekar. Summary - Part 1 - What happens after enlightenment? The basis of the Enlightenment or self-realization is the annihilation of the ego and yet there is a you which has to be there for the body-mind organism to function. This YOU is also the one that responds to the name being called obviously means identification with a name and form so the identification with an individual name and form separate from the others separate from the others continues. There is however a very big difference between the identification with a name and form which continues after the ego is destroyed after the sense of personal doership has been destroyed. So what is destroyed after self-realization or enlightenment? What has been annihilated is the sense of personal doors but that does not mean annihilation of the identification with a name and form. Ramana Maharshi says the ego that arises can be described as the remnant of a burnt rope, meaning the Rope is burnt but the form of the rope remains - you can't tie up anybody with that rope. The faith in the will of God is not an individual's faith in the will of God. Faith in the will of God truly means the surrender of the personal wealth and the personal individual. Total faith in the will of God means surrender of the individual sense of doership to God. When a person's total faith in the will of God is lost or not there, the individual comes in with the necessity to be kind and compassionate and when kindness and compassion are lost moral values come in. If kindness and compassion are there, the question of moral do's and don'ts don't arise. Kindness and compassion are part of faith in the will of God. If a person loses even their kindness and compassion, there arises moral do's and don'ts. So when moral do's and don'ts arise there is a list of things to be done and things not to be done with the implied promise if not Express that once you do that God will be on your side so they expect God to take sides when you follow certain moral lose and don't you will win over God to your side and when morality is lost and religion takes over religious dogmas come into the picture and when dogmas of one religion are not acceptable to another and when religion becomes only the husk and not the kernel of faith in God, so that's how religious wars begin. So this progression or regression is usually what he said begin with the seeker and ends with the destruction of the seeker. So, self-realization means total faith in the veil of God. Regarding the question as what has happened to the person after self-realization if the basis of enlightenment is the YOU being destroyed, then who is it that is now talking? who is it that is now living his or her life? That question arises because of the misunderstanding between the ego that is annihilated which is the sense of personal doership and what continues there after a simple identification with a name and form. No sense of Oneness remains, No sense of WANTS remain because there is no individual entity wanting anything, this wanting is personal doership. The person continues to live his life exactly as he lived before the only difference being earlier the person thought he was living his or her life. After self-realization the deepest possible confirmation is that life was being lived through me - me being again the identification with the name and form and not in the sense of personal doership and life will continue to be lived through me and when I say life will continue to be lived through me I mean life as before will be continue will continue to be lived through you and him and her in other words life that is being lived through any body mind organism will be merely witnessed including the body mind organs in which he calls himself. So what happens then is that life as it happens events as they happen, deeds as they are done, actions that are done are merely witnessed not as those of an individual doer but as part of the total functioning of manifestation or God's will. That is what is happening now when there is no real distinction made between anything which happens through another body mind organism or through this own body mind organism. Let me tell you an incident that happened with my earlier guru in Pune. In the nearby streets, kids were playing out on the roads in front of their homes. Suddenly there was big cry about somebody getting hurt, so a couple of people from the ashram went to see. They brought in an simple old man who was not concerned with the world. He went wherever the will of God took him. He used to dress shabbily, never cared for his appearance which made him a prime target for the playful children. Some kid made fun of him and expected him to get angry but he didn't get angry. He joined in the fun which irritated the boy who made fun of him so the boy threw a stone at him and others kids also started throwing stones thus injuring him. The old man was an irregular visitor to the ashram and the people from the ashram brought him to the ashram. They were grumbling a lot that this goes on all the time and the police don't do anything. Somebody should do something about it and they helped clean up the wounds and the old man was all right. But the ashram folks kept grumbling to which the old man said - what is all the grumbling about? I don't understand - Some hands threw stones at me and injured me while some other hands cleaned up the wounds. It was not a statement made to impress anybody and it came straight from the heart. This is an example of witnessing that happens to any body mind organism about anything. Because of the sense of doership not being there there is no distinction of my actions, his actions, her actions or your actions. Whatever happens is accepted. There is no fear of life or death. I saw a Kite bird do a fantastic thing - it came landed on the green grass on the tee golfing grounds, spread its wings, raised its neck looked at the morning sun and laid its head down and died. A bird comes knowing that it is dying, there is no panic, there is no flutter of wings. It comes quietly and has decided on a place to die, lands and looks at the Sun puts his head down and lays down its life. When the ego is dead the sense of the individual believing and thinking of themselves as a doer is gone. Q> When we say no more doubts remain, and no WANTS remain. The individual has WANTS and a sense of doership. He is the one who wants them. If there is mere identification with the name and form, WANTS are not there. The basic understanding is that whatever is needed either will be supplied or will not be supplied. Whether the needs are satisfied or not will depend on God's will and the destiny of this body mind organism. Q> So if I want to buy a computer or something, then is it not a WANT? There is a slight distinction to be made between NEED and WANT. The NEED consists of things like food for the body mind organism to live, for the functioning of the body mind organism. Food is a need and essential for the system but needing a computer or bicycle/car/vehicle is not essential. Now a bicycle may be essential so you can go daily using for a job but you have choice to either walk or bicycle to your place of work. The choice could be between biking in 15 minutes or walking for 1-2 hours. So a bicycle becomes a need but whether that need will be fulfilled or not is also accepted as WANT. So but that doesn't prevent you from doing whatever you think you should do. That's why we go back to the free will - Does the individual have free will? Of course the individual has free will to decide to do something. So what is your decision - Maybe you decide that you will go and ask a friend to lend you some money to buy the bicycle. Do it but whether that decision will be frutify and turn into something you want is not in your control. whether your friend will be able to lend you the money is not in your control but that does not prevent you from making a decision to go to your friend and ask for a loan and if it is God's will and the destiny of this body-mind organism the plan will grant you the loan you will buy a bicycle and repay the loan. Similarly you may have a WANT (not need) for a computer to get a job or do your work. You have the free will to decide that you want to buy it - whether you have the money to buy a top of line (MAC) or an adequate computer, or buy it at all depends on God's will and your destiny. So the needs for a bicycle or Car or Computer is a WANT that is there but the understanding is whether that want as such will be satisfied or not is not in your control.
-Part 2 - Q> If a person is born in luxury or if luxury is his part of life way of life the person is not going to give up on his wealth because understanding has happened. Sometimes followers of the Bhagavad Gita would talk about renunciation. If we look at what Lord Krishna tells Arjuna? Lord Krishna tells Arjuna you may decide not to fight but that decision will be futile. The programming in this body mind organism of a born warrior that has been trained to be a warrior will not allow you. Therefore Lord Krishna tells Arjuna to fight and win the battle. In this case, he does not ask Arjuna to renunciate the kingdom gained after victory. There is a similar story in Hindu mythology scriptures about King Janaka. He lived that life of a just King and followed the dharma and way of life of a King. He didn't live the life of a beggar but that of a King. A guru that lived with his disciples in a ashram found one disciple had some doubts about renunciation. He expected renunciation means deliberately giving up so the Guru decided to send this disciple to King Janaka. When he came to the court of King Janaka in the evening, he saw music, dance and some courtiers drinking. The disciple looks up and thinks what kind of a man has my guru sent me that is enjoying himself like this. King Janaka asks him to get some rest after his long journey and that he will meet him tomorrow morning at six o'clock. So the next morning King Janaka went to this quarters and they started walking. They saw that a fire had broken out in the King’s palace. King Janaka continued to carry on with their talk. King Janak mentioned that the fire is being put out and to not worry. But the disciple couldn't wait any longer. He said Your Majesty you may have many clothes but my only other loincloth is on the string drying. So this great renunciatory was worried about his only other loin cloth whereas King Janaka would not have been worried if the whole Palace had gotten burnt. This is true renunciation and giving up is one of the religious dos and don'ts. So no WANTS remain. If there are needs that have to be fulfilled - whether they'll be fulfilled or not is NOT in the person’s control. It is God's will so if the needs are to be fulfilled they will be fulfilled. Q> Does this mean that if the WANT does not remain or is not satisfied then is it a Need? Once the Enlightenment has happened and truly there is no individual doer as an entity no WANTs remain. Let’s say a normal individual being has a home, family, a car with a one car garage. Normally the person should be happy but the individual WANTs increase. The WANTING mind or the THINKING mind says that it wants more of what you have or something you don’t have. It could want a bigger house, three-car garage either because of genuine needs like a growing family or just to show off the big house to others. Those become our NEEDs. If the body mind organism (identification with a name and form- ego) dwells upon and decide to do whatever it can to satisfy that need. Once it does its part to satisfy a genuine need, it should accept the will of God and the destiny of that body mind organism independent of whether the need is satisfied or not. There is no egoic frustration. The decisions that are made are made by the WORKING mind and continues after enlightenment by the WORKING mind. The THINKING mind which judges, which observes and judges is gone. The WORKING mind when it sees a fire will do whatever it takes to put it out whether the fire is in the person’s house or the neighbors house. The THINKING mind will judge that the fire is in neighbors house and it is not my problem, or I will not help because it is bad neighbor etc. If a therapist is working on the programming of clients, it is not in the hand of the therapist and also not in the hand of the client. If the destiny of the therapist and of a particular client is to be helped by you he will be helped but if the destiny of another client is not to be helped by you he will not be helped. If it is the destiny of the therapist to have 10 clients in a row who are not to be satisfied then the destiny of the therapist will be to acquire a bad name. It's the other way around also. If it is the destiny of therapists to have 10 successful clients everybody will talk about how good a therapist he/she is. So that depends also on your destiny that's why I say what happens depends on the destiny of the therapist and the client. Q> When we say that for an individual everything is based on God's will. How does it work in groups like families or in a company where many people have to be together? There are not different wills of God. How the intellect in individual body mind organism works is the will of God. Different people think in different terms and the will of God is that different body mind organisms think in different ways and the different ways are according to the programming. As an example, if someone hurts another person then obviously it's the persons destiny to be hurt. The other person is an instrument through which that hurt happened. If a murder or killing has happened, it means the destiny of one body mind organism to be killed and the destiny of other body mind organism to be the instrument to kill that particular body mind organ. A killing involves the destinies of two people according to the will of God, where one is a killer and the other is the killed. God has fixed the destiny of each body mind organism for a limited span of life according to the respective spans of life for eternity. So God has already written the script and made the movie. God has produced and directed the movie and is playing every character in the movie. God is witnessing the movie so the destiny of each character is already in the script and the movie is already there. Einstein says God is playing dice with the universe because we don't know what is happening next. We think God is playing dice with the universe because we do not have the full information which God has. God knows and has created the whole movie but we do not know it. This is a concept and it is your destiny whether you accept this concept or not. If what you think should be changed or could be changed then in the movie the change has already been made. So even the words that you are saying are inevitable, and cannot be changed. Nothing can be changed by you or me. If what we see now needs to be changed and if it is changed that will be changed because it is the will of God. Ramana Maharshi said what you are getting now is conditioning, this conditioning is a thought to remove the earlier thorn embedded in your foot. Ramana Maharshi said the concept can only be used as a thorn to remove another thorn embedded in your foot and once the embedded thorn has been removed you throw both the thorns away. You don't hang on to the to the thorn which was used as an instrument. Once the misconception has been removed throw both the thrown away. In other words don't hang on to any concept. Use the concept at that moment and forget the concept. Don't hang on to the concept. Let your programming/destiny work. If your programming is for doing social work, then do social work. If your programming is to be a devotee, then do Bhajans and not social work. Nothing happens unless it is the will of God.

@Dominic according to Jung, the goal of individuation (or enlightenment in this context) is to make ego willingly and joyously do its work under the Self. In other words, ego gives up all or any claim to itself (me, I, mine etc) and loses its identity to the Self. So whatever ego does in this life is but the Self acting through the ego. It's easy to comprehend these notions but takes a lifetime of effort and suffering to achieve this, if at all.

My understanding is that a want is actually a feeling of lack or need for something or someone. It's a negative emotion. When a person is free, he/she can simply choose to have, do, or be anything, but he doesn't feel upset/frustrated etc.
How difficult it may be though it may be so easy..... Getting out of one's cage isn't easy.... Zeroing of expectations and rub off the unaware attachments is difficult unless detachment itself is the only way... Realisation is tough... So easy, but so difficult 🙏🙏

In Buddhism ,through meditation it becomes clear that ,life is just a heap of continuous set of feelings, sensations n etc...and concepts v form through conditioning.and v have highjacked the feelings from all the input as i n mine! Thus ego is born.
Whether we it realize or not, we are pure consciousness. The unrealized are under the delusion of thinking themselves to be the individualized ego. The realized have simply removed this delusion. That is the only difference.
Indeed. But to let go or not is also beyond our control. The letting go happens by Gods will.If it's not your destiny, then it won't happen no matter how hard the individual or the ego tries.Thats the whole paradox of it.t

Even if I try to cheat for the outcome in my favor, other factors such as, may be a strong wind/ surface where the coin falls could also contribute to the outcome. I am just an observer
Well said, karmaye namaha, kriya is wht v are capable off not the final outcome,,even if it isn't in our hands tht shouldn't stop anyone to strive for,for whatever the distance covered towards our intended goal even if reached midway is an achievement
Before realisation one is obsessed with building the Mansion and decorating it and expanding and remodeling so that it becomes the envy of his Neighbours . After enlightenment he never cares or feels the Mansion and even will not hesitate to leave it without any emotional or physical attachment . The Mansion is the physical body. The occupant is the enlightened soul.
You will take care for your body if that is your destiny beside the self realization. You could be a model and also be self realized. To imply otherwise would simply put some form of limitation to the whole idea/concept of God.
I agree with all this, I just want to add that creation has happened many times, 83 times, this is the 84 th creation. So the movie has played before, but it has been subject to slight differences. When you dream of a premonition or read a prophecy, you are not seeing the future, you are seeing the past. Nothing is set in stone, Karma can still change, if that is the will of God.
Is it possible to gain self realization without a master?? I live in the Tamma capital who all live towards the 3 gates, lost, anger an greed. Iv completely cut myself off an have to isolate. All ready what I know now an what iv learned even by the mind, I cannot go back, but I'm now stuck in no man's land, people think I'm mentally ill lol. With my burning devotion and everything I do now dedicated an I follow Krsnas advuce in the Gita. Is it possible to gain self realization possible without imitation or a master. Please can you please answer this for me has my Time I is not long. Thankyou🙏
Self-realisation is a stepping stone. You can have it by self-enquiry or denial of what is not permanent with or without a Master. Try it, don't worry about a Master. The Nature helps a true seeker to move ahead.
I have a very imp question: How do I know, if after "self-realisation," the needs I still have are mine or are God"s ? Pls, any of his students, answer this question., Or the same question put in another perspective. How do I know when it's the will of God or my will. Thine way NOT mine. But how do I discern the difference.
In Buddhism ,mind is described in two forms .The thinking mind and the emotional mind and most of us only react to emotions almost 99% of times, and it teaches u to work with the thinking mind, for that u have to be 100% conscious in all ur efforts ,instead of reacting unconsiously.this elimination of a so called Gods destiny.u choose ur destiny by living in the present moment consiously.
I question the concept of ego and, while not an enlightened person, which is my only certainty that what is absent must be imagination. How can I surrender to the will of God? Is God not just an idea? However, I can surrender to “' what is ”.
Could my life have been different from how it is now (assuming everything happened without my knowing) if I witnessed my life being aware? What I am saying is with a condition of not being self-realized until now. Would it have been any different? This the only question I'd like to be answered. It has been on my gut for so long. Waiting for sincere response. Namaste 🙏
🐟 17. THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN SPIRITUAL AWAKENING, LIBERATION, & ENLIGHTENMENT: AWAKENING: Any person who has experienced a state of cosmic awareness can rightly be called a “buddha” (a Sanskrit/Pali term for “an awakened being”). During such TEMPORAL experiences (that is, they begin at some point in time and then end at a subsequent point in time, even if at the time of death), there is usually an apparent dissolution of the subject-object dichotomy, or at least a radical shift in one’s perception of life. In the most profound awakening experience, the perceiver, the perceived, and the perceiving, mystically unify (“advaita anubhava”, in Sanskrit). Awakening means to clearly see that one’s persona is but a character in a dream of The Absolute, and that one is essentially that Flawless Awareness. Therefore, it is not to be taken literally - that the person wakes from the “Cosmic Dream” in the same way that a human wakes from a night dream. It simply implies that the person realizes that he/she is one of the multitude of dream CHARACTERS, and that individual free-will was purely an illusion. When one experiences a night dream, one usually identifies with only one particular character (for example, “last night, I dreamed that I played chess with the prince”). However, all the characters in one's dream originate in the very same mind. Similarly, the living creatures in this universe are naught but characters in the “Mind of God”, to put it in theistic terms. During such awakenings, one experiences the non-conceptual state, which is somewhat akin to the state of equanimous mind or "steady-mind" (“samādhi”, in Sanskrit). However, samādhi is usually a far longer-term state of being, normally arising after lengthy periods of practice. Spiritual awakening is a relatively common phenomenon. In fact, there are most probably MILLIONS of persons currently on earth who have experienced some kind of awakening, where they directly perceive themselves to be more than a mere body-mind complex. The experience can be either totally spontaneous, or it can follow many decades of intense spiritual practice (“sādhanā”, in Sanskrit). However, there is no direct causal link between religious practices and awakening experiences, despite what most religionists (“sādhaka”, in Sanskrit) believe. It is common for newly-awakened persons to CONFUSE and conflate relative and absolute truth. That is to say, when neophyte buddhas speak of relative concepts, they invariably use absolute terms. This is colloquially known as the “spiritual side-step” or as “spiritual bypassing”. For instance, they may make such statements as: “You don't exist”; “Nothing ever happened”; “There is no right or wrong”; “Everything and/or everyone is equal”; “I am not my body”; “We are One”; and “I am you, and you are me”. Hopefully, such persons will come to see that there is no need to speak about everything from the Absolute perspective. Verily, it is unbeneficial to the persons with whom they are conversing (unless, of course, those third persons are thoroughly deluded materialists, who are unable to see beyond the physical realm). Awakening to one’s true nature does NOT automatically promote one to being a saint, since one’s unique characteristics, flaws and obsessions may perdure. There is an abundance of evidence that awakening experiences can be induced simply by the administration of certain hallucinogenic drugs, so to claim that one is exceptionally remarkable just for being a buddha, is rather conceited. Unfortunately (for spiritual-seekers), there is a multitude of awakened or partially-awakened persons who mistakenly believe that they are somehow enlightened masters, and proceed to embark on a teaching career. The fact is, many (if not most) of these BOGUS “gurus” are afflicted with a narcissistic, demonic mentality, bereft of morality, and ought to be exposed and denounced for the fraudsters that they are. As will be very succinctly explained in forthcoming chapters of this Holy Scripture, it is the sacred duty of members of the Priesthood ALONE to disseminate religious/spiritual knowledge throughout society (or to be more accurate, teach seminarians and the leader of the government, who in turn teach other men, who in turn teach their own subordinates). Simply attaining a “spiritual state”, even with the benefit of a vast body of knowledge, does not automatically confer authority on a person to become a spiritual master (“guru”, in Sanskrit). There is, in fact, an enormous gulf between the two (that is, between an awakened non-priest working as a spiritual teacher, and an enlightened spiritual master). Most persons would undoubtedly disapprove of a person stealing the property of another, yet think nothing of a working-class chap or a mere woman performing the function of a priest (“brāhmaṇa”, in Sanskrit). The fact is, when any person (other than a priest/guru) assumes the role of a spiritual leader, he or she is quite LITERALLY stealing the occupation of a priest. The phrase “The blind leading the blind” is pertinent here. By understanding the entirety of this “Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, it shall assist one in the discernment necessary to distinguish an actual spiritual master from a person who may superficially seem to be a wise and holy teacher by the masses, yet is, in fact, a charlatan. Unfortunately, only a wise sage can identify his peers, so it requires a genuine prophet to recognize which spiritual teachers are ACTUAL masters. Nevertheless, as a general rule, at least ninety-nine per cent of those giving spiritual precepts to society, are unqualified to do so (see Chapter 20 to know the prerequisites for a member of the Holy Priesthood. Despite what many believe, priests are not at all ordinary men). Cont...
LIBERATION: “Liberation” means “freedom”. Thus, a liberated soul is a person who has become emancipated from the five kinds of suffering (blame, shame, pride, anxiety, regrets about the past and expectations for the future), all of which are based on the belief in personal AGENCY. Read Chapter 15 to understand the nature of suffering, and Chapter 11 to understand that humans are not independent agents with freedom of will. Awakening experiences are not a prerequisite to being liberated from suffering. LIKEWISE, not all liberated persons are automatically enlightened (at least not to the degree necessary in order to be labelled as such), but there is a strong correlation between the two states of being. It's possible to be liberated, whilst not possessing a deep understanding of life. A liberated person is scarce, because very few understand the true nature of suffering, and of those who do understand the distinction between psycho-physical pain and ACTUAL (psychological) suffering, it is difficult to surrender to one's circumstances, free of obsessive thinking and judging. Liberated souls are usually those who have diligently practiced one of the four systems of yoga described in Chapter 16. ENLIGHTENMENT: Of those who have experienced a state of “oneness” and are free from mental suffering, there are EXTREMELY rare souls who are spiritually-enlightened (at least to such an extent to be worthy of the label). If the term were to be taken literally, a person may be permeated or imbued in light to varying degrees, just as the ocean is more illumined by direct sunlight than it is by the reflected light of the moon. So, when a layman thinks of an enlightened soul, he or she typically imagines a person who knows what life is “all about”, or has “seen the light of God” (metaphorically-speaking). Simply having an awakening experience is quite far-removed from being an enlightened sage. Every person who has ever lived can be RANKED according to their level of enlightenment. Even if one understands that there is more to existence than gross matter and localized consciousness, one could claim to be more enlightened than a gross materialist. Therefore, somewhere in the world resides a person who is the most ignorant fool on earth, and at a different location one may find the most enlightened sage extant. Like practically everything in life, enlightenment is relative. Even “complete” enlightenment is not an absolute state. Even the most educated person alive has the capacity to increase his knowledge. Not even Divine Incarnations are all-knowing, I would posit. If one were to approach a rocket scientist, one would expect him to fully understand his field of expertise. He would understand advanced physics and chemistry, and know precisely how to design and launch spacecraft into outer-space. Similarly, an enlightened sage is one who understands LIFE. He knows how this phenomenal world came to be, how the law of action and reaction actually works, how to become liberated from temporal sufferings, and should be able to logically answer any question posed to him by a spiritual seeker (what to speak of highly-intelligent members of the scientific and philosophical communities). An enlightened person has eschewed all belief systems and relies solely on objective, VERIFIABLE concepts, knowing that even the most accurate concepts are relative, and that the ultimate reality is Absolute. Read Chapter 03 of “F.I.S.H” to appreciate this philosophical foundation. A laconic way to describe how it feels to be a fully-enlightened (and awakened) person is thus: imagine yourself (that is, your waking-state persona) entering a dream and interacting with the dream characters, giving no regard to any uncomfortable situation, including possible death, as you know that you cannot die. That is similar to how a genuine sage relates to this seemingly-real creation - continuously at peace with what is. A fully-enlightened person is almost invariably a member of the Holy Priesthood (a prophet, to be more precise), and NECESSARILY possesses a genius or near-genius level of intelligence. “Necessarily”, because, as previously stated, he is required to competently respond to even the most difficult questions and conundrums posed to him by others (otherwise, he can hardly claim to be a fully-enlightened individual). Imagine approaching a so-called “enlightened sage”, and after asking him the most profound questions imaginable, he responds “Umm...I don't know!” On the other hand, even the village idiot can receive awakening experiences. However, to be liberated from suffering, one normally requires at least an average level of intelligence, because understanding the nature of suffering (as opposed to mere pain) is a rather intellectual concept. Needless to say, an enlightened person adheres to a strict code of morals and ethics, such as the avoidance of illicit sexual activity, gambling, intoxicants, and animal products. To be fair, there are many examples of persons who seem to be very awakened and/or enlightened, yet engage in base pursuits such as those mentioned above, due to their genetic make-up and their conditioning. However, this category is devoted to highly-evolved beings who LITERALLY radiate holiness - those who even the vilest of souls can recognize to be elevated far above ordinary, animalistic humanity. Sometimes, those vile souls far more easily recognize enlightened saints than do persons who are supposedly spiritually-advanced, as when the demoniacs, called “Legion”, instantly identified the Divine Avatar, Lord Jesus Christ, as the Son of the Most High God, whilst the Jewish high-priest at the time considered The Perfect Person Himself to be naught but a ominous rabble-rouser and a blasphemer. It seems logical to assume that any person who purports to be a fully-enlightened soul must be morally-upright. Therefore, those who profess to be enlightened individuals, yet who actively support objectively-evil ideologies or practices, such as socialism, communism, democracy, feminism, homosexuality, and carnism, are of no practical benefit to society (quite the opposite, in fact - they are a DETRIMENT to society) The devilish character, known as “Satan” in the Judeo-Christian tradition, seems to have been quite enlightened about spiritual reality, yet I'm not sure if anyone would call him an “enlightened being”. To be rather forthright, a fully-enlightened sage will accept the conceptual framework of this Holy Scripture, “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, as being a very accurate description of life as it is (or as it could be or should be). It is far far preferable for a guru to teach impeccable moral precepts, yet have a flawed understanding of metaphysics, than vice versa. Out of a billion persons, there may be one or two enlightened masters. These self-realized world-teachers are almost TOTALLY shunned by society, for, as Lord Jesus Christ once proclaimed: “I am the enemy of the world because I am telling the world that it is evil” (paraphrased). It is extremely easy to identify a truly-enlightened spiritual master: The first question one should ask a prospective guru is "What is the ideal form of government?". If he acknowledges monarchy to be the only legitimate form of governance, then ask "Does free-will exist for any living creature?". If he responds in the negative, then the chances are that he is an authentic guru, assuming, of course, that he is a strict vegan, and is despised by most all of humanity. If he has more than a couple of dedicated disciples, he is most probably teaching something less than Truth. “Awakening cannot take place, so long as the idea persists, that one is a seeker. Doing sadhana (spiritual practices) means, assuming the existence of a phantom. The entity that you think you are, is false. You ARE the Reality!” ************** “When Realization dawns, then what happens? You are no longer 'you'. You remain established in the inner silence and freedom, without any concern for your welfare, content with whatever comes along - and life goes on in perfect effortlessness.” ************** “Only when it is time, in the cosmic scheme of evolution, for a particular psychosomatic apparatus to get enlightened, can enlightenment happen. And if that time has come, nothing in this world can prevent it from happening. Nor can anything in this world, make enlightenment happen, if it is not time.” ************** “The disciple goes to the guru seeking enlightenment, as something which he can enjoy as an individual, while the enlightened guru knows their relationship to be a completely impersonal evolutionary process, in which no individuals figure at all.” ************* “Self-inquiry is the direct path to Self-realization or enlightenment. The only way to make the mind cease its outward activities, is to turn it inward. By steady and continuous investigation into the nature of the mind, the mind itself gets transformed into That to which it owes its own existence.” ************* “When both the rational and intuitive planes of mind are allowed full operation, they get superimposed on each other, resulting in a fasting of the mind or NO-MIND state. This is the most alert state, in which the mind can find itself, because of the total freedom in which it can operate - a beautiful, natural blending of discipline and spontaneity.” Ramesh Balsekar, Indian Spiritual Teacher.
I cannot thank you enough for your long and detailed response. I am from Nepal and have been living in the United for almost 7 years. Western life has been very tough but yet I have not given up my ultimate quest of finding my true purpose. I am seeking the truth from the bottom of my heart. Yet my mind is still confused. I am in need of help. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you so much. 🙏🙏
@@melissag9685 thank you for your response but I am still not clear on that. Matter of fact whatever is happening on me is merely by the grace of god whether I should accept it or not. However, if I was awakened I think that would’ve been a different thing. Once again me asking that question is not me but my Ego because the reality isn’t that I am awakened yet. Either going to the past or going to the future is what Ego usually does to escape from the present moment or the reality of life. I am at least aware of that in an intellectual level. And I think understanding that is the beginning of the quest of truth. Thanks again. I really hope I could find a guru soon so that I can get all the answers of my thoughts..

I want to suggest that if you would change the word annihilation with transcendence....it would convey the real meaning of self realisation, and withtogether positivity, hope and purpose for further life....
The word annihilation emits a destructive meaning,,,..but its our identity, personality.....which cannot be crushed easily and i think we ourselves shouldn't destroy and forget it, but rather make our identity so useful (fruitful) and simple that it can help evoluting & surviving further generations of human, animals and plants. The joy of being attached and worthy of neighborhood, which you are leaving behind helps in alleviating from aatma to parmatma (physical death)......this is self realisation...

After my self realization, In a complete state of acceptance and surrender, consciousness flows through the being and guides like an angel. The conditioning due to environment vanishes when consciousness sheds the light which one can refer to as presence. By observation and relentless focus one can see the reality from the perceived illusions. The act of detachment from the conditioning of the senses and living in presence appreciating the eternal single moment raises one’s consciousness and spiritual dimension to infinite possibilities and for experiencing joy and freedom! The pathless path is very clear every moment and in every situation.

Summary - Part 1 -
What happens after enlightenment?
-Part 2 -
Q> If a person is born in luxury or if luxury is his part of life way of life the person is not going to give up on his wealth because understanding has happened.

Before enlightenment chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment chop wood, carry water. Zen saying
Dhyaan in india becomes zen in japan , because Japanese can't pronounce dhyaan
The only difference is who is doing the chopping.
Before enlightenment, do the laundry. After enlightenment, do the dishes.
@Dominic lumberjack is the individual going about his life. Before he was complaining while chopping the wood and carrying water. After he is enjoying doing the same thing with grace. Difference is the point of view.

🐟 17. THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN SPIRITUAL AWAKENING, LIBERATION, & ENLIGHTENMENT:
AWAKENING:
Any person who has experienced a state of cosmic awareness can rightly be called a “buddha” (a Sanskrit/Pali term for “an awakened being”).
Cont...
LIBERATION:
“Liberation” means “freedom”.
ENLIGHTENMENT:
Of those who have experienced a state of “oneness” and are free from mental suffering, there are EXTREMELY rare souls who are spiritually-enlightened (at least to such an extent to be worthy of the label).
Imagine approaching a so-called “enlightened sage”, and after asking him the most profound questions imaginable, he responds “Umm...I don't know!”
On the other hand, even the village idiot can receive awakening experiences.
Therefore, those who profess to be enlightened individuals, yet who actively support objectively-evil ideologies or practices, such as socialism, communism, democracy, feminism, homosexuality, and carnism, are of no practical benefit to society (quite the opposite, in fact - they are a DETRIMENT to society)
The devilish character, known as “Satan” in the Judeo-Christian tradition, seems to have been quite enlightened about spiritual reality, yet I'm not sure if anyone would call him an “enlightened being”.
You ARE the Reality!”
**************
“When Realization dawns, then what happens? You are no longer 'you'. You remain established in the inner silence and freedom, without any concern for your welfare, content with whatever comes along - and life goes on in perfect effortlessness.”
**************
“Only when it is time, in the cosmic scheme of evolution, for a particular psychosomatic apparatus to get enlightened, can enlightenment happen.
And if that time has come, nothing in this world can prevent it from happening.
Nor can anything in this world, make enlightenment happen, if it is not time.”
**************
“The disciple goes to the guru seeking enlightenment, as something which he can enjoy as an individual, while the enlightened guru knows their relationship to be a completely impersonal evolutionary process, in which no individuals figure at all.”
*************
“Self-inquiry is the direct path to Self-realization or enlightenment.
The only way to make the mind cease its outward activities, is to turn it inward.
By steady and continuous investigation into the nature of the mind, the mind itself gets transformed into That to which it owes its own existence.”
*************
“When both the rational and intuitive planes of mind are allowed full operation, they get superimposed on each other, resulting in a fasting of the mind or NO-MIND state.
This is the most alert state, in which the mind can find itself, because of the total freedom in which it can operate - a beautiful, natural blending of discipline and spontaneity.”

Perhaps the answer is: if you had been different (awakened Awareness), everything would have been different.

Have gone through various available literature concerning self-realisation including religious ones, but none explains it. With due respect to the individual speaking, there are no answers here. If someone understood, good for them.
Probably the feeling of realisation itself may amount to be far from it. 🙏

what answers you search? like "self-realisation is a potato"? Will any answer satisfy you?
"You are a God", "you are nothingness"
After my self realization,
In a complete state of acceptance and surrender, consciousness flows through the being and guides like an angel.
The pathless path is very clear every moment and in every situation.
thank you for this beautiful teaching. what is the book he read from please?
"Who cares?"
His guru or teacher wrote a book called I Am That. You can buy that book. It is common. He follows a teaching called non-dual, also known as Advaita Vedanta. There are other teachers that teach non-dual also, like Ramana Maharshi. He also has many books you can read. It is a common philosophy that says that there is only one energy in existence. ☯️🕉

Letting go (rather than giving up)?
Language is powerful nisgurdatta maharaj had powerful teaching language
Ego vs working mind
Thinking mind vs identification with name and form
Thinking mind observes and judges
Working mind observes
Working mind says if fires put out..

Christ was the ultimate non-dual master:
"Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.…"
~ John 15:5
Yes i agree. But 🤔what was the timeline for Advaita -Nondual concepts in india and Jesus Christ?
God doesn't decide ur destiny .
Its u yourself who decides ur destiny by ur karmas. Today's actions r tomorrow's destiny.
Yes yes you are right. It is our karmas which decides our destiny. We can do karmas but the outcome of that karma cannot be decided by us.
We decide and do karmas to become a millionaire. It may happen or not happen. What happens is our destiny. Can we say.. I did karma for not becoming a millionaire? 😂
OR.. For not becoming a millionaire i did some bad karmas. 😂😂😂
If we are deciding our destiny.. We should be able to do the proper karmas to reach our decided goal no?
But is it happening always to all?
Conning self and conning others.
Teach us the truth, O Wise One.
@@TheWorldTeacher What is there to teach ? What you known has already fortified you & you have no way to learn anything more...
It is not possible for you to unlearn as well
So live with the statement I made above in first comment..
Conning self to con others
The words phrases examples & body gestures used by the lecturer are all empty. They carry no meaning.
You have been taught and thus all your claims that you are claiming are just plain useless talks like barking of a dog or cheio of a bird or hiss of a cobra. It carry no meaning no matter which vocabulary you use..
Take my statement as it is or leave it & move on.
You Sir are not going to get anything neither those who are listening to your empty phrases and stories.
That is their Sorrow.
@@KuldeepPandita-kn9bx, PMS are the initials for “Premenstrual Syndrome”, which every woman (except, perhaps, Mama Maria) has at LEAST once a month, when she cannot control her moods and emotions.
And it seems from your impetuous and DISRESPECTFUL response, that you are experiencing some kind of premenstrual affliction, Slave?
@@TheWorldTeacher As I said it is impossible to give up .
You have no way to interpret my words other than the meaning you attach them.( Those meanings is what you have collected thus for).
If it happens to you somehow and you would realise somehow that you are a tape recorder ,throwing out what has been put in.Probably you have a faint chance to know that there is no self to realize and an enlightened person has no way to tell self that he is one.
Probably it would dawn upon you that how you sold stories to people.
I again say .. You have no way to know what you do not know and 3nd of ego is end of you.
The YOU in your is given by others.
You go on selling Shroudy Goodies to people. I am.ok with it .There is a demand and you are supplying the same.
My one line in first comment was brought to rip your knowing to bits and pieces and that you know very well
Having said that I know it is not possible for your to reform and thus same is true with your students 9r those who come to you for doing their living issues.
Good luck.
@@TheWorldTeacher According to Christian tradition, Mary, the mother of Jesus did not conceive but that does not mean she was not ABLE to conceive.
8:00 he's reading from the Tao right?

@@rajakumarivegesna7443 Ahh thank you.
This is almost a direct quote from the Tao.
I hope he cited it!
@@rileyseaburg5978 my dear friend, in the realm of reality, that is only one, there is no citing something. Because truth is only one.
Does anyone know when this particular meeting took place, I am curious because I think I know someone in the audience and to know the date would be helpful.
Check the beginning of this video.

What is this 'god's will" idea? Is this some kind of Dao will ? Nature's will ? Destiny will ? Humanly god or superly human... will ?
These are all ideas and concepts that have been thrown at you (whoever you are) me, them, him/her.. Or are in the circulation at some time or the other in this kind of intellectual group and language, philosophy or terminology of different people... etc, etc. Before every major talk or workshop-retreat, or whatever... Mr Balsekar (may he be in peace) should kindly define, what is what... in his understanding of the word (concept).
By what he understand and imply by those different terms and ideas of the wil, destiny and god, first..?
Since every religion, ethnic or social group and plenty ot others (in between) may have totally different concepts and ideas about those terms. And because of that, different understanding of them. E.g... How can you explain to atheist, who may wonder about enlightenment, what is the will of god ?! Etc
