This isnt super related xbox stuff, but its something That happened that reminded me how entitled playbase is. I had just gotten off work and wanted to play some dbd. I played a good 9-10 matches, but 8 of those matches either had people dc'ing, giving up st 5 gens, or messaging me cause i had forgotten to put on a cake and not accidentally leave on a survivor putting. A guy messaged me saying "put on a cake and we wont dc next time" "go play regular if youre gunna do that shit" it made me do mad that i took a short break from dbd during this event
@@gardenduckling1138 i think people just automatically assume if you bring an escape cake ur an egoistic fuck or whatever. Which is... an interesting mindset to have id say. But yeah, people should just move on from this. I get the hate towards map offerings but other bp offerings dont hurt me and in general, getting mad about it is just not worth it since you'll forget about it like 10 minutes later lol
"you guys piss me off... AGAIN!." THIS is my relationship to the DBD community summarized.. And im glad we are all thinking the same XD its just a endless circle of annoyance of one another isnt it?
The community is way too entitled when a console gets compensated. I play on Nintendo Switch, I remember people complained about Switch players getting Twitch drops through codes.
The Dead by Daylight subreddit it such a cesspool. Went on there for the first time in a while and immediately saw a post where a bunch of people were basically saying that because it's the event that killers should just let survivors win and blaming the killers for killing them before they were able to get gens done. I was like you can't be serious lol.
Wow I didn’t even know that non Xbox players were upset that they didn’t get the extra BPs and currency. I thought it was very obvious that those were only given to players who were affected. How selfish these people are, but also yeah that’s about right for this community
I agree with the reddit part. Like bro I went on there to ask other players if they believe survivors can Force killers to DC somehow because I had just got done with a match that DC'd me at a very bad time, and it wasn't the first time either. I played Nemesis, Hooked someone, Downed a person, Dodged a flashbang while hooking, the survivor dies on hook, Then I get DC'd for no reason and was forced to wait for 5 minutes. It seemed everytime I DC'd like that it was during a time in a match when I was washing the survivors and I think the teams were SWF. Anyways I make the post and put it up and it barely got noticed, Like 2 people commented without adding anything or answering my question. But other posts like "Oh this event is bad" Or "This Perk Combo is OP for killers" They get like 30-60 comments. I swear the Mods shadow-banned me or something. Honestly Reddit as a whole I feel can be worse than 4chan, I give 4chan a few more points because despite most members being degenerates they don't let animals get abused. Reddit mods always seem to be power hungry, Every Sub has 1 or more power hungry mods.
Oh yeah it's insane! I've made posts and questions on Reddit and am lucky to get maybe one or two responses, but the moment the 5th post about "XYZ broken thing here" is posted it's an instant hit and full of comments bitching and moaning. Anyway, to answer your question about being booted from the game. There are hacks/cheats out there that can be activated to force a lobby crash, but I'm not sure if it can be directed at a single person. Though I suppose it could be similar to a lag-switch cheat in that it causes the killer's server to lag so badly by overloading the server that it forces a crash. Or it could just be the server on your end having a knipshit, to be on the safe side I'd report it to the bug team juat in case it is a hack.
The Reddit Hive Mind strikes again, because people just want to trap themselves in an echo chamber and feel the need to have their opinions reinforced by someone else
I'm reminded of when I commented during a steamer's stream about how the DBD community is the most toxic ever and they shut me down by saying, "DBD's community isn't the most toxic community I've ever seen. They are, however, the most entitled I've ever seen." And that changed my perspective because of how true it rang.
I'm an Xbox player and I WAS upset; but I didn't blame BHVR, I blamed Microsoft. I also was very happy when they gave us 3 million bloodpoints, and 300 trinkets. It was extremely nice, and I loved it. Kudos to BHVR for compensating us! Honestly, it reminds me when they were giving out those shard codes for the Pride stream. It was 300 total, and people were complaining. "That's nothing," "really? I can just level up for that," and more stupid shit. People don't know how to be happy with what they were given. I was happy honestly, because that was one less level from getting a character! I hate how entitled this community is. It is honestly on par with how middle schoolers act.
Yeah, pretty sad for us Xbox players, but we did get 3 million bp. Honestly tho I got several hate messages in a row when I was playing pretty fair and rarely did anything “try hard” like if you will. I actually missed the PC players for once, at least PC players can only hear the toxicity after the match, not during it. Edit: also, about the whole Xbox situation, I have to say that while I don’t agree with how far people took the hate, the argument that BHVR should’ve waited longer to release the event if they were aware that it was going to be delayed is valid. If it just happened and they couldn’t do a damn thing about it I can understand and forgive them for it, but if they DID know and went with it anyway, not cool to me.
I like the usual events that don't change the rules of how the game works. I play killer and I still hated when the event speed boosted me making it easier to get the survivors. Also it is just overwhelming. There is just too much going on all the time in the event. Also don't like the killer ability to remote hook the survivors if you have an invitation. . It is just too much, too overwhelming, and f-s with the game mechanics too much. That said it is good if you don't mind overwhelming craziness.
oh god you mentioned the DBD reddit mods, those guys are some entitled powermods if you ever meet one i left a few comments about not liking vsing SWFs as a new player and each time i copped a 1-2 day ban for it with a mod message telling me to shut up and stop creating a toxic environment only to then get permabanned, then three years later after all that happened a post of mine which was not ONLY three years old but archived get remove with a Mod message telling me it was remove and when i questioned them on why they removed a they told me "There was honestly no reason for a idiot like you to even comment other than to remind us why your ban should stay in place, but thanks again for letting us know you’re exactly on the side of the ban list you ought to be at" then they gave me a perma mute so i couldn't even reply back
Reddit mods in general are whiny little babies. I was banned from a subreddit called BreakingMom, for "continued harassment and bullying" when all I had done was shared a funny in hindsight lesson my mum taught me about biting, it was nothing violent nor inciting harassment or encouraging violence, it was just how my mum taught me not to bite (I.e instant karma style of teaching) They ofc must have muted me because when I replied to their "you have been banned message, reply to despite the ban" message I never heard back. 😅 Prissy little loosers over one comment out of at least a dozen similar as well...😅
Lmao, my OG comment got removed, YT mods are getting just as bad as Reddit Mods... Anyway, let's just say I also got manually banned from a subreddit for "bullying and harrassment" even though I had done nothing of the sort and when I tried to contest the ban, I didn't even get a reply, so they must have muted my replies. Bunch of power tripping degenerates.
The only issues i had with the delay was the lack of communication and that o could play with my gf I never really blamed behaviour beyond the coms issue
I got someone on my stream who lef a PSA comment about XBox players being unable to play the Anniversary Event, and all I could think to say was "thats unfortunate" and left it at that. Because, what am I supposed to say to that? Im not an influential streamer nor content creator. 😅
Ive been playing for 8 years I think people are just sick of behaviors mess ups throughout the years With the infinite loading screen having to restart my game constantly when stuff goes wrong I don't know if that happens on pc and all the glitches that have been happening recently They always need a patch for an update they just made im glad they gave 3 mil blood points tho and gave me some currency for the event, so im fine with it I think behavior did a good job this time addressing this issue at least I don't know why people are still complaining at least about this specific issue
I think the event is quite fun, but heavly killer sided. The killer's kit gets much stronger stuff than the survivors'. Also I didnt play much in previous Anniversaries, only the 5th and a bit of the 6th and I was quite dissappointed when I found out they brought back the old cosmetics for auric cells into the store and also gave a code that unlocked all the crowns
I think it would have been nice to give all players something because with the XBox players affected means less people in the event through crossplay, it was also not required because my impact was far less than the impact of those players. Seriously, people just need to stop sometimes that someone else getting compensated for a mistake/accident/error the only at most minorly impacted you is not something to get upset over.
I've heard of people whining that ots behaviours fault that the playerbase is toxic during the event The fuck did behaviour do? Slug your team or tbag at gate?
ok question i know off topic just thinking out idea. a perk like ace in the hole for killers but the killer has to trigger it be triggering a gen themself ?
I'm on xbox and knew it was on Microsoft, but I can also confirm, there was a lot of dumb babies crying about the wrong thing, it was very annoying, as far as the bps it wasn't their fault and they did hand out bps, and it was nice but honestly it's ridiculous that people would whine about that, like you can easily get more than 3 mil bps in a single day in the event. Now I'm sure not everyone did, (get 3 mil) but many did and the 3 mil just helped us catch up. They still didn't have to do it but it was very much appreciated
I had the opposite on Xbox I had nothing but awesome people swing by and share love. We hated being left out but everyone is trying their hardest to make it happen asap for us. Once I saw it was Microsoft as well I was like ahh it happens. There was literally nothing I could do to change it so why sit and fester. But yes I saw on Twitter the toxicity of can't please everyone. Lol so it was fine. There's plenty of lames out there. So I'm glad I had a good experience while everything went down.
I'm an adult I can buy my own cake whenever I want... Did anyone else get harassed over your platforms message chat for not bringing the event offering as a killer? Ugh.
Yeah as an Xbox player. It was absolutely fucking awful listening to people whine about how everyone should get 3mil bp. I'm sorry. But we missed out on easily 10MIL+ BP BECAUSE WE COULDN'T GET A 540% BP BONUS
