I love what he is doing with trying to get young people in to farming even if they don’t come from a farming background because I have looked at the cost of starting a 1st generation farm and it’s way to high to start from the beginning
*Wonderful episode! I really enjoy your programming. Although I'm not a farmer, I grew up a farmer and still love farms and the lifestyle, and I'm still watching from Whidbey Island Washington.*
This is my favorite episode so far! Thanks for having him on! Please follow up with him, and anyone else you can working in this space. There are going to be companies that tend to this equipment. How do you automatically refill seed, fertilizer, fuel, def, insecticide? Handling variety changes?
Love your work guys. If I could offer one critique - you gotta stop interrupting the guest trying finish their sentence or fill in the word they're searching for. You could see in this episode each time Craig was being careful with his words you guys would jump in and throw 3-4 words at him and it would skew his train of thought. Keep up the good work
What people other look is the more (technology) they bring in like computers in farming the more your dependant on the the powers to be and under there control
The thing about autonomy, is it is a force multiplier. It makes it possible for us to do more things over all. The same can be said for all the equipment technology. This will never be a simple thing, and it never was, but even more so, being a corn and soybean farmer won’t make you a living anymore. We’re going to have to be more diversified. Which is actually more like the old days.
