I work for Rob Brenneman and his family. The best thing about Rob is that he’s still involved working right beside us most days.

After some thought, when you remarked that you would like to dive in further, the story got really good. This episode made many points concerning how to be successful and most importantly happy with what you are called to do with life.

I really liked the point made on how most people believe that hog farms are in such terrible conditions, but get shocked when they go to a farm and realize the conditions are really clean and friendly. Totally highlighting the fact that the world is growing more arrogant.
But thinking about it also in depth, all customers are doing, is trying to raise the standards. If they didn't the conditions probably would have stayed horrible, it's the voice of "hey this is kind of unhygienic we should stray from this practise". It's almost urgently needed. And I like our guest here is always showing the level of humility by listening to the concerns that people have. Keeping in mind that change is not necessary to keep up with the rising demand for higher quality standards.
It's chaos and order and our guest here can probably look back on life as say "I did a damm fine job at turning chaos into order". I wish I can say the same when I reach that age.

Very good show. Admire a guy that put in the grit and still doing it. They “you can’t” people drove him to do great things

Random fact, char is french for a tank.
Sounds like Mrs.brenneman must have one emotionally to be so frank with Rob at such key moments in his life, and holding down a house while keeping the faith in her husband while he did what he needed to do.

Idk how I landed on this channel being a city boy and all, far removed from any type of ag farming, which does make this interesting to hear however my point is ... GREAT PODCAST. Great guest, great life story, great history. I’ve known older business men that we considered tyrants, idk if that’s cuz my generation has grown soft or it’s true or maybe a little of each. I will say they were very succcesful in regard to business but poor when it came to interpersonal relationships. Can you have both? Probably got the one that is able to consider humility like this Man.
A lot great points one of the biggest ( and I wish the guy in the hat picked up on it and sled follow question cuz he seems mote in tune since he’s not asking the questions)
When Rob was talking about being 5-6 yrs old and his dad and grandpa would take him with them on the job.
I think in almost all professions In that day I think that’s exactly how young men were raised . They would watch and learn alongside dad. Unlike today where kids stay home or stuck in daycare or preschool . That seems like a huge difference from today’s “gold” standard of raising kids. That way seems so much better unlike today where we are trying to teach our kids in classrooms at that age and up. I wish that could be expounded on.
Big thanks to this podcast . Pig farming who would’ve known would captivate my interests!!?? Haha

The Barn Talk needs to listen to Rob and follow his example on rethinking the prop 12 and adjust (soften) the political commentary ... Think about what the customer the consumer of media wants, not just in Washington County but possible world wide as an audience. "What's the future?"
