Less than 10 minutes to Big C Extra, a large supermarket, the Banzaan Fresh Market and Jungceylon Shopping Center. Unfortunately at the time of making this video Jungceylon is still closed.
Patong Beach is also a short 10 minute walk away.

I have found that most guesthouses and even hotels have monthly rates.
Just be aware that typically with monthly rental, electricity and water are not included and charged extra.
I'm sure they would be happy to negotiate monthly or long term.
