    I was just searching all over TH-cam to see if anybody posted what the chiller actually sounds like and you were the only one who did. Thank you so much for being real with us! We just purchased ours and had it delivered about a week and a half ago and love it so far! The only issue is that I think our chiller is making some weird sounds and yours definitely sounded normal compared to ours lol

    Nice high end unit. When I get my dream property with backyard for a 8x12 cabin sauna and a cold plunge I will invest in one of these to compliment my outdoor wellness setup similar to how Orvis hot springs is in Colorado. I would have it on a separate concrete pad with open air covering to limit the elements affecting it. My friend who has a health retreat has a regular Plunge model and I find it to be a tad too small. I am 5'10" and my knees come out of the water. So I would go XL for sure and living in a climate that gets 10 degrees below I would get the hot cold model. Another thing I found odd with the plunge was the sloped ends make water splashing a regular thing when getting in and out, even being very careful. Overall these are worth the money and get the extended warranty!

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds like an absolute dream and I pray it comes to fruition! Yes the XL would be the route to go for sure! I noticed the water slosh as well, no biggie for me but if it was on a floor that cannot get wet, may be a problem (but there is always a solution). Thanks for the comment and support!

    Thanks for reviewing this David.
    I got the standard plunge about 2 years ago and didn’t have such a great experience with the unit. The support was the main issue and it was like using a beta device. The unit came with the pump controller at the lowest setting and there was no instructions on how to verify the pump controller when setting up. As you can imagine , the ozone and filter couldn’t keep the water clean with the pump turned at the lowest setting so I had algae growth that took months to diagnose and remedy.
    Good news is they fixed almost of my issues under the 1 year warranty and they’ve updated the unit by improving the white component cover which had a bad magnet design and outer film which pealed after less than one year outside, removing the UV light which leaks after a while and generates a lot of heat , and upgraded the light in the tub which died. And they’ve created all these videos to help with installation and maintenance which didn’t exist.
    I can now say I am fully enjoying my plunge experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as I can now see they’ve refined the hardware and improved the support.

      I own a standard plunge as well which is about two years old and I'm definitely not a fan of it after all the sh#t that's gone wrong with it. Does look like they've update some components on it but after spending the money I did spend on it I'd be hesitate to spend money for another one for that price. I now have a Ice barrel which I plumber properly for UV / Oxone and a chiller. Its been working well and didn't cost me another $4k

    I purchased and returned the plunge. I was highly disappointed with this product. After only eight weeks of owning it, it was down for a total of 6 weeks out of commission. After I called support and asked for a refund they charged me $2200 (freight and a restocking fee) to return it. Mine didn't even work for a full two weeks either. I wanted to love this product but was highly disappointed. Note my electric bill went up $100 a month when the tub was in my home.

    This is a great review! We are considering purchasing the Pro XL. We will put it in our basement so the noise concerns me.
    Is it constant or only when it's chilling the water?
    Also, is there an app to use to set the temp for specific times? For example...if I know I want to plunge at 6:00 AM every morning, can I sent it so that it's chilled to the temp I want by that time?
    Lastly, with the chiller what are the total dimensions of the tub?

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great option and great question! It makes a good amount of noise when its chilling, so you can do what my wife does (she unplugs it when shes in the gym working out, thats where we have ours) or get the all in, it is super quiet! Have you seen that side by side comparison yet? Just posted a few days ago.

    Can anyone describe how loud the pump is with the chiller off? We received our plunge a couple of weeks ago and when I first started it up, there was a loud cracking sound and then the pump was really loud, so loud you couldn't hear the chiller when it was on. I took everything apart and found some pipe glue that had run into the inlet and on the impeller so when it first started up it wrecked it. Plunge quickly sent out a new pump and I re-attached everything, plugged it in, and....more whirrrrrrrrrrrrring from the pump, definitely not as loud as before, but still there. Not sure if this is normal, I guess I was expecting maybe a quiet purr from the motor or maybe just bubbling sounds from the water with the occasional chiller fan running. But now the only time you don't hear the pump whirring is when the chiller kicks on and even then you can still make out the pump. Our hot tub makes less noise when simply circulating the water.

    • @DavidMausJr
