I signed a lease with Clicklease...what an unfortunate mistake. You have five months to pay off the equipment, 0% of your “lease” payments go towards the payoff in that period and if you don’t payoff the equipment in that five months you are only leasing the equipment building zero equity....YOU NEVER OWN THE EQUIPMENT...what a scam. Furthermore, I would avoid any company who offers them as an option who doesn’t explain what they are.
Mike, I’m sorry you had a negative experience with ClickLease. It seems that there might be some misunderstanding. ClickLease is a lease to own service, once you finish your payments for the full lease term you will be the sole owner of the merchandise. It is true that these payments do not go towards building credit, however, the early pay off option or “buy in 5” is set up to allow customers to pay off the merchandise at a discounted rate. The way it works is… 1. You make your regular monthly payments during the first 5 months. 2. As soon as you are able to pay off the lease in full, you will pay the original invoice amount 3. The payments made up to that point are the profit ClickLease makes or the “cost of services” 4. If you do not pay off the lease in 5 months, the lease will return to the full lease terms until the lease is paid in full. We would love to talk to you more in depth about this to understand your experience so we can relay this information to our lease to own provider.
