    I have the add edit to a shortcut, on of my favs, we are using epidemic sound but considering envato. I like the vertical workspace for shorts. Sometimes we save the video in premiere and save it back on the iPhone to add those youtube shorts effects, doing that is a pain transferring the footage back and forth but that is something I would have like to have seen here. Great video i can tell you take a lot of care and time creating these, to make them informative but concise. Larry

      @johnthevideoguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Larry!
      Yeah, transferring files from your iPhone to computer can be a hassle. What I use in my work is Dropbox. Create a Dropbox folder and have it accessible on both your phone and computer. That way when files are uploaded or changed, they’ll automatically synchronize to the other device.
      If you are interested in learning more about Envato, I did just make a video reviewing them. Feel free to check it out below.

    Very informative video, just one question, you didn't do any color correction because the footage you used was already color corrected?

    • @johnthevideoguy
      @johnthevideoguy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can color correct if you need to.
      In my case, I usually don’t because my video looks pretty decent out of camera.
      If you want to learn how to color correct, check out my video below.

      Hi there,
      Thank you! I’m glad to hear that my tutorial has helped you!
      That can be quite frustrating. I’d first check to see if the exported video is in a 9:16 vertical format. Be sure that there are no black bars on the side of the exported video.
      If that is the case, then it has to be an issue when it is being uploaded to TH-cam. One best practice for uploading shorts is to use the hashtag #shorts in the title of the video. This will force TH-cam to recognize the video you are uploading as a short. Also be sure that your video is under 60 seconds long. That is also very important.
      Hope these tips help!

    John thanks so much for the tips, your video gave the most results. I got rid of the vertical stripes, but I still can't get rid of the horizontal ones. I stretched the video to get rid of the horizontal bars, but on rendering they are still there and output along with them. i still couldn't find information all over the internet to get rid of them. Please give me some advice.

      Hi there!
      Sorry for the delay in responding, but I have yet to figure out a solution to your situation. Part of me wants to believe it may be the way you're previewing the file after it's exported. As long as your sequence settings are setup correctly and you are exporting at adaptive high bit rate, you should be all set. 🤔

  • @TheWeb3Man
    @TheWeb3Man ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi there, quick question, I'm creating the same sequence as you show, however, I'm not getting the same 2 white squares you got after is created. I only got the black background. Not sure if I'm missing something! Please help

      @johnthevideoguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your feedback! It's something I've been considering.
      I'm curious, if I may ask why? TH-cam has auto--generated closed captions in the menu bar. Is TH-cam's auto-generated captions not sufficient or inaccurate?

      You might have to disable mercury playback engine GPU acceleration.
      To do that, go up to File, Project Settings, General, and change the option next to renderer to software only.
      If that doesn’t work, the video you are trying to edit might need converted. I recommend using Handbrake or VLC player.

    john i cant import my video why is that?

    • @johnthevideoguy
      @johnthevideoguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that! There could be several reasons why a video is unable to import.
      The most common reasons is because the video codec isn’t recognized by Premiere. Or that the file is corrupt or missing key metadata for Premiere Pro to read it.
