Wow how did I miss this video...! cannot wait to watch its a great little game, I`m painting up figures as we speak for it. Part of my like to "reskin" it for a more 80`s feel something like hunting bigfoot or mothman, couple of x files agents etc...
Good to see you cover Devilry Afoot, I think Old hammered is the only YT channel to actaully have covered it and have battle reports on it. Its a fun looking game, similiar to Silver Bayonet but a few years earlier.
Loving this!!! - I like the way you do your reviews, and its great to spread the word on the so many great small budget but fantastic games out there! Thankyou!!!
Picked up Devilry Afoot on BF sale. Played 3 games so far co op. Both of us really enjoyed it. I also quite enjoyed the little project of painting up the small batch of miniatures require too. I'm not usually a big fan of AI driven rules but the individual way each villian type works is quite fun. For example the first game we played was against 3 witches and looking at the chart you'd think this will be a walk over, they are hardly ever going to attack you and unlikely to ever kill one of your models. We still lost the scenario as we kept getting charmed and two of our hunters were scared off the board by intimidate. One of my better recent rules purchases and it was really only on a whim that I bought it. Very glad I did.
Ahhhhhh what a belter, Ash! Glad youve taken a look at Devilry Afoot, its a fun wee game, figured it was up your street, its got some neat little twists in the rules. This is a great show choice; shining a light on some games that people might not have played or looked at but might enjoy...such as Verrotwood or The Weald , for instance 😉
I love the idea of Ash as the 'game sommelier' using his knowledge and experience to show us some less well-known game alternatives along with whatever the current hotness might be.
Crikey, I normally only inspire terror and revulsion! Absolutely a game sommelier, I can totally see Ash giving it "This has a cheeky bouquet, I'm getting summer fruits and mech based combat, followed by notes of crushed troops and a touch of grimdark, best served with cheetos and beer"
Brilliant idea for a stream Ash, it's almost a 'chat version' GMG review. Love it! Never heard of Lobsterpot (or the #28 mags group - is this where turnip 28 comes from?) Will look into it today. I'm already a fan of Devilry afoot - great game. Suggestions for future Indie Hour episodes: Verrotwood and 1490 Doom (which has another cool board you may be interested in)
28:08 i remember that movie. We somehow got a recording of it on VHS and that’s how I saw it. But I didn’t remember the name or have I heard anyone else reference it.
Oh hey, the old music is back! No more creepy doll music.
Thanks so much for reviewing Devilry Afoot! It really means alot to indie publishers when they get some air time like this.
I've played this game several times now, and it is a lot of fun with some very cool mechanics.

Excited for this new show!

Really good idea and content. Great show, keep up the excellent work. Loved your content for years especially the non GW game systems
Love this idea!
Excellent news show

Brawl Arcane is a great game to give a look.
Awesome vid Ash!!
GMG Indie House!
Great concept, great execution! Yer costing me money man! Way better to try new stuff than buying more GW stuff you really don’t need.
free public domain art is great and so much better than ai bobbins.

Matchlocks & Witchcraft Miniature agnostic skirmish game (2023), from Samuel Drucker is very similar, even the graphic design is similar.
I'm so into this. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Riftway Cataclysm.
Awesome idea for a show, Ash. I recently published an indie game I'd love to share. Is there a place I could send it (digital and/or physical)?
Go for it! Just use the email for the channel :)
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames I've sent a couple of emails previously, but I assume they were lost to the shadow realm of junk. I'll keep trying, thanks!
also wargames are just an excuse to hobby :)
