This just gave me an idea: what if someone made like... A Mad Max FAN game, the whole thing was one continuous Metal Slug level on top of the war rig. Bullet farmer, Doof warrior would be boss fights with immortan as the final boss

There was a Mad Max game on NES and it was actually semi open world. Digitized sound effects too.
I like it how some of the sprites are inspired by metal slug arcade sprites
