Honestly man when it gets that high I stop thinking about the range and I just think of it like singing.. the vibrato kinda just came with that thought. If I had to put words to it I would say play the G so comfortably with your chops that you can press any combination of fingers down and still have a resonant and beautiful dubG. One you have that control it’s just a matter of trying to do a lip trill up there but since partials are pretty nonexistent up there, it comes out as vibrato
Dude, you are literally one of the best baritone/trombone players I’ve ever heard. Your flexibility and sound production is absolutely bonkers and it’s everything I aspire to work for in my own playing. Thanks for sharing
This video popped up on my recommended and I’m so glad,it’s like I’m marching along with the video😩I miss marching band and my baritone so this video made me happy, you’re an amazing baritone player
I remember when I personally thought playing this was impossible, but then I picked up my trombone that I haven’t practiced in 7 months and I could play a triple Bb... AND IM STILL NOT BETTER AT TRUMPET/MELLO/FRENCH HORN
Obinna Nwakwue just work on high range long tones. And if you have access to a trombone slide up to them. I’m in highschool and can play a triple Bb (granted not very well) but my clear range is a triple Ab.
What mouthpiece did you use on that custom z? Love this so much. Wanted one from last year, but I’m very happy that you posted one this year. Thanks man
Leo Garcia You get nervous?!?!?!?!? I wouldn’t expect that. You look and so so good and confident. Keep up the great work. Was this your age our year btw? Ps. After watching this video I was so inspired that I transcribed the solo from backrow politics!! Lol
I am shook. Last year one of the baritone soloist were able to scream that G and it wows me that I get to listen and here it once more. It's so clear with that amount of tone you were able to produce! If you don't mind, may I ask what mouthpiece you used during that show because I know different corps use different brands but I'm not sure what you use or SCV
One of their Visual directors is also one of my visual directors his name is Andrew Rhebergen he works with us at Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana
FISHERS HIGH SCHOOL IS AWESOME :0 I hope you guys make it to state finals, because idk what year it was but I remembered seeing your guy's show at semi or state finals I think and it was AWESOME! this is my first year marching at homestead so I hope I get to see your school's show at least once, since I missed out on seeing your exhibition performance at the fishers invitational
I'm the happiest man alive now that this cam exists. Literally the only cam I wanted all season.
That’s dope man
TheBANDit same I really want a trumpet soloist cam too do
Same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This man is a legend
Leo Garcia where is our 2018 cam :,(

seawaveleo I’m dead 💀
seawaveleo yes
11:51 that high note sounds so nice its so satisfying
Thanks man! Glad you liked it #BaritoneScreamers
Leo Garcia hey do you have any advice for using vibrato up there, i can hit a dub g pretty well but i cant vibrato it
Honestly man when it gets that high I stop thinking about the range and I just think of it like singing.. the vibrato kinda just came with that thought. Thank a ton man, im definitely gonna try that out
Leo Garcia were you the other 2018 soloist besides Skyler?
15:36 I literally blinked and the horn was up when my eyes opened
outrageous! the physical demand reminds me of stone wang's 2017 cam, but you also have TWO bangin solos to back that up! excellent job!!
Dude, you are literally one of the best baritone/trombone players I’ve ever heard. Your flexibility and sound production is absolutely bonkers and it’s everything I aspire to work for in my own playing. Thanks for sharing
you're too kind - thank Ryan for asking me to wear the gopro lol
BRO YOU AINT HAVE TO FLEX SO HARD WITH THAT IMPROV

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Me to Jesus, me to
MVP. Seriously freakishly amazing. All the cutting up included. Great bassline this year, SCV, but your soloists are FIRE.
Why is nobody talking about 11:16 it sounded bloody amazing
Loved seeing you guys live! Definitely my favorite trombone solo of the season
You all so crazy cool! Ah to be young horsing around ! Loved your show.
The crazy weird high note he played around 1:50 was an Eb5 which is utterly ridiculous and I thought me being able to hit Bb4 was crazy
Where is that note on the staff
@@Kc-jr6cq I’m pretty sure Bb 4 is 4 ledger lines above the staff
@@tritl6571 just clarifying it is like an E or F 6, the note I was talking about that I max out at is about C5 now
This video popped up on my recommended and I’m so glad,it’s like I’m marching along with the video😩I miss marching band and my baritone so this video made me happy, you’re an amazing baritone player
Everybody is talking about the super g at 11:54, but lets talk about the double super e flat at 1:53 before the show
The energy of the show holy shit
All of those who play in the lowbrass line, we play the best instruments in the world and no one can tell if different.
Yessssss
1:52 I don't think I've ever heard someone play that high. I've only ever been able to squeak out a double c.
11:51 chills
I good to know wherever you go baritones still do the same things 1:35

Absolutely haha
And rhapsody in blue lol
this dude has real skill
Holy articulation and holy range
In the end the trumpet dude chops was gone
I remember those days too!
Yes, my poor little chops couldn’t hold 😔

bro I know I'm trash - I started learning trombone during the audition season, sorry it wasn't to your liking, trust me it wasn't to mine either
@@leogarcia1172dude thats my favorite part bro it was amazing dont even listen to him
11:18-13:00 best part of the show don’t @ me

*hears high G*
Why am I trying, I can't play anything above high C# with a good sound...guess I'll practice.
Obinna Nwakwue a c# above the staff or a double c#?
@@imdeejayem3705 high C#
@Nathan Balog I mean the one an octave above.

0:34 was that rhapsody in blue?!
lol yeah just a hint
obviously the range is sick, but no one be taking how good the tone and control is @the ballad. this is some good playing
i appreciate you
What mouthpiece did you use on that custom z? Love this so much. Wanted one from last year, but I’m very happy that you posted one this year. Thanks man
Logan Jackson I’m sad he didn’t post one
Had I know people were about it I would’ve made one for last year but tbh I just get WAY too nervous lol but im working on it
Also I used a wick 12CS
Leo Garcia don’t worry man you’re really good and this is more than enough we love it thank you.

9:55 is that a mistake ?
It just sounds like a missed partial, it's supposed to be an a sliding up to a d

He really is lol
the only good chad
Do your chops like never die?
every day haha
is that Lauren Elizabeth Wright
Gotta love that backrow politics solo in the beginning😂
Yo what’d you use to rig that mic on your trombone.
I used a waistband mic pack holder and wrapped it around the bone instead
How did you hit that note at 11:54 holy shit ur a god
6:36
*bonk*
I aspire to be at his level he is so good
you could be better - do that lol
Anyone know if his baritone supports small shank or is it large shank?
it was a large shank
