Mr.Hegde is a commodity that can be bought by any person with some money, his Hinduism is a commodity.
Hegde is wrong. The Court is obligated to make sure the right to convert is not abused by organized attempts and given free stuff and money to convert. This is a well accepted principle, for example taking votes with inducement is wrong. Same principle applies to other things like religion, etc.
Hegde says "Marketplace of religions" but religion is not a commercial matter so his argument doesn't apply. Overall Hegde lost the argument and is saying things just for the sake of saying something.
