    You are such a great home maker ! You definitely invokes the memories of me and my mom , driving up the hill to Kiboswa market on Saturday in Kisumu and maybe Kibuye on Sundays ! But yeah , Kiboswa was the plug ! Now that I am grown I totally understand, what it takes to nourish a family well, organically and the essence of buying smart ! You get a lot of bang for you buck ! You are quite impressive the way you go about grocery shopping 🛍! I just think 🤔 you do a great job ! Do not move ! Canada 🇨🇦 is next door to me and I want to say good has comparatively taken a dive ! I mean everything ! The cost of living is just the same all over ! It is a mess ! Good job once again! It is cause of you that I bulk cook 👩‍🍳 for each week ! I hope to get to cooking for a month though ! Lazy me ! 😉😌🤣😂🥹😅! Okay dear Cheers 🥂 across the pond !

    Things are expensive even in US now its unbelievable the good thing people have jobs and kenya we have lots of people without job. Its very scarely when you think about people with big families and no job. Sometimes i complain when i go to work but then i have learned not to complain and count my blessings

    Hi suzy, I ❤ the beautiful flowers💐 in your house.As for the ever rising cost of living,I think it's global inflation at the moment, because even in Dubai ,its the same story too.If you think commodity prices are so high in Kenya,then in uganda its worse, because a bar of soap in some parts of the country goes for about 2.8 dollars and 1 litre of oil is about 4.2 dollars😭😭😭.Its just too bad and I think we all need divine intervention at this point in time.

    Just a side note fir easy removal of all the coconut from the shell.....crack in half, drain, and set tge half on a fire for 25- 30 seconds, until the outside is slightly burned, it will heat the oil on the inside, completely releasing the coconut, carefully remove it from the heat, and dump into a bowl.......if it doesn't release right away, put back on the flame for a few more seconds, as the shell is thicker... then start over , it should release....... I found this trick to be much less labor intensive then scraping to get all the coconut out of the shell.

    • @so.sounds8440
      @so.sounds8440 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How do you cut the coconut in half? When I try, I usually get multiple-sized pieces. Help!

    • @heatherjohnson2511
      @heatherjohnson2511 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@so.sounds8440 I have always used a hammer over the sink with a bowl in it....while holding the coconut, hit it with a hammer, in as close to the middle as possible, rotating with every hit, your coconut should crack in half then you can crack it open with your hands, make sure when buying coconuts that when you shake it, you hear water, those are fresher, otherwise it's older and dried up.
      BTW all coconuts have different thickness of shells some will crack only after a few hits, others may take 6- 7 hits.

    Hey, I love your cooking 💞💕.
    The part that shocks me (the Africa in me) is where you shower dress up then clean the house with full outfit mpaka viatu na socks. Waaaaaaaaah. How now???? How do you wash vi proper and not get water kwa miguu? Anyway (do you) i was taught to clean ile proper then ile jasho yooooooote ioshwe itoke kwa mwili after all house chores. Yani I just cnt reconcile how I'd shower then get into house chores. Infact that's when I have nguo za kufanya kazi ya nyumba as in not nice clothes. Yani am unable to reconcile how I'd do this smart sijui lady system. Anyway I love your cooking. I actually love everything about your Chanel apart from showering,dressing up then doing house chores????? Hiyo jasho yote after house chores???? Am confused.

    Hi Suzy!! I enjoy watching your channel!! I live in Northern California and food is equally expensive now. Kuna mashamba huku where one can pick vegetables depending on the season. It's spring season and am on a hunt for those shambas. There are dairy farmers that only sell raw milk to supermarkets only so option ya kununua maziwa huko hakuna. One can buy ngombe, mbuzi and chicken and have them slaughtered on sight. It's a good option and affordable. It's very expensive to live in California but again so is Kenya and with global supply chains problems we are all affected. Thanks Suzy for important content!!
