Have't heard this song in ages. I like this song more than ever. Made by one of the world's most influential and groundbreaking bands. RIP Freddie Mercury. Your voice will never be replaced.
A lot of these comments, are giving WAY too much credit to Brian May on this cut. It's Roger Taylor, and the John Deacon bass solo, that makes this is so great! THEY set the tone for May to come in, and do whatever.
Just found a quote of Nick Mason: "A band is essentially a drummer, a bassist, and assorted novelty acts." Humorous, but true, even when you consider that to Mason's own experience the bassist was one of the novelty bits. Yeah, yeah, I'll never get tired of bashing Waters. Sue me. Anyway, it's great when the "novelty acts" let the bassist and drummer show off some. Deaky and Roger really killed it on this tune, that why it's one of my favorite all-time Queen songs.
Years ago (shortly before his death) Bernard Edwards (of the band Chic) spoke about how Freddie Mercury and John Deacon (Queen bassist) happen to be in the studio when Chic was recording their 1979 album "Risque". There's a reason why "Another One Bites The Dust" sports a bassline quite similar to Chic's "Good Times". When Queen released "Another One...", Edwards said that they (Chic) didn't ever mention this to the band (Queen). But...that was an entirely different time--when you didn't run the risk of being sued for "borrowing" from other artists. Everything comes from somewhere. I'm just sayin'...
Laser Book # 49, Tiger in the Stars" by Zach Hughes He awoke to find that brain was hardwired into a vast starship with enormous power and faster than ligtspeed travel and that he was being shadowed by another unidentified vesael that would hide in the radio shadow pf stars during a game of interstellar cat-and-mouse and when he lalsed into faster than lightspeed, to evade the mysterious other vessel, the descriptions were awesome. Listened to this the whole time i read it and it was an exquisite match
and don't get me to talking about the descriptions of the massive firepower as he decided to engage the other vesael in a firefight with exotjc energy weapons. All i can say is that this fit it to a tee
Everytime I hear this song I wanna be Freddie for some reason it makes me feel Super Macho, Freddie was the most gay macho man I have ever seen what a stage presence and swag!!!
I Find it weird that you can upload footage from Montreal and Milton Keynes, because i can't or, it will not be able to be viewed outside the u.s. and canada.
One of my favorite tracks that was never a mainstream hit. Every member shines on this track.
I will get tired of this song about 4 days AFTER I die.
God Bless You Deacon! Thank you for made me a bass player!

True Dat to that one, Thomas. I DEFINITELY agree with you there.
Brian did write this, but Roger and John stole it... Man, those cymbals...😍😍
The Deacon owns it for some reason this song makes me want to smoke a fat one and repeat it for hours!
Queens most underrated song.

Another One Bites the Dust is great too, but I do agree that this is one of their understated songs
Roger's songs rank on the underrated list I think. Particularly, Fight From The Inside and More Of That Jazz
