I love your little house. You’ve done such an amazing job decorating it and filled it with such love. My home is about the same square footage as your’s and was built in 1949. She’s a Senior lady too. And we love our little home as much as you probably love yours. I’m glad you found a way to make it work. That’s amazing! God bless you and your family and your home sweet home.
How refreshing! I real family home and your narrstion about everything really is relatable. We are selling our 95 year old small home that we have luved in for 30 years. We added a four seasons sunroom on in 2005 and landscaped our backyard. We have 2 bedrooms and one bath and a small kitchen. But we are havibg troyble selling because of the houses in our neighborhood are of the same age but have bern flipped so they are very modern inside with cathedral ceilings snd wirkout rooms and lux kitchens.your house reminds me of ours and proves to me that small is comfortable and functional and very pretty.
You inspire me so much. Living simply and within your means is so much more admirable than seeing fancy, magazine perfect house tours. You have inspired me to redo my pantry and I am in love with it. I plan to repaint my kitchen table soon due to your inspiration.
A house made with love and full of love. The hard work that Marion and you have put in has paid off, and I'd watch 100 videos like this rather than one cookie cutter Instagrammed into perfection house video.
I love your home tour. Your home shows love, cozyness, and care. You know I am 73+ now and am amused at so many young people who cannot imagine having one bath. I grew up in a home with only one bath and it always worked for our family of five. May God bless you and your family❣️😊
You have such a nice home. You did a great job decorating. And you're so fortunate to have a handy hubby. I grew up in a small house - five kids, a dog and a cat with one bath. I think it made us closer as a family. I love smaller, realistic home tours. They're so much more relatable.
First time watching your channel. Enjoy seeing a real lived in home that looks cozy, warm and inviting. We live in a small home. Raised our two kids here and even had our daughter, hubby and twin babies live with us for several years. We had 4 dogs here too. Small houses make great homes!
WONDERFUL! This is what most people really want to see, real people doing real things to real homes. Your home is lovely!! In my opinion, it is vastly better than some McMansion that will never be paid for in the lifetime of the buyer, filled with furniture they can't afford, etc., etc,. etc. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work.
I know why I enjoy your channel so much! I grew up watching Mister Rogers and you are like a modern female version of him in the coolest way! 🥰 Thanks for sharing your home and your gift of encouragement to all of us!
Your house is so cute! It just goes to show it doesn’t matter what size house you have! We raised 4 kids in a similar house. 1058 square feet upstairs and a partially finished basement. But they always appreciated the space they had and we still live in that same house. For the 2 of us it’s just right!
Your home is so warm and cozy. You are proof that you don’t need 5,000 square feet to have a pretty home. You have done a fabulous job in decorating your home. I enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.
I don’t know you or follow you but I absolutely loved this. I have a 1400 home so bigger than this but every home in TH-cam is a mansion! I finally found content that is relatable
I love your home… you are so relatable and I love that you are not trying to buy all the latest stuff that we can’t take with us when we die but rather making your home a sanctuary of love and comfort. Way to go to raising all your children in your beautiful home.😊❤
Arika, I must say the older you get the younger you look. (I turned 62 in November and have a son close to your age he is 42 . ) Your home is beautiful , if you include your basement space it looks like you have about 2,000 sq ft. That is a nice size. We down sized 10 years ago . We had a big 3,000sq.ft. Home we sold for a smaller 1,700 sq ft home and 10 acres. 2 years ago we paid it completely off and have been able to update a lot of stuff. Our home was built in 2001. I absolutely love my home. You inspire me to do things I never would have thought about. I love the faux brick and shiplap. God Bless.Thank You for sharing your beautiful Family and home with us.Sending Love all the way from Alabama, Chrissie ♥️🙏
I love your house always! My Grandma and Grandad had a house very similar to your house, which I loved. They had 3 kids and great grandma lived there, two bedrooms one bath and they made it work! Wonderful memories and seeing your home always reminds me of them. They are all gone now but, I know I will see them again some day, Praise the Lord! See you next time
Hi Arika. I know you talk about your home being small but you and Marion have done an amazing job with every inch of it. It's a beautiful home and you both should be very proud of what you've accomplished. ❤️❤️
Love this home tour! FYI. I’ve had cats all my life and 5 years ago changed from clay litter to horse pine pellets at my local Feed Store $7 for 40lbs. and use it with a sifting cat litter box. It has been amazing. Save $$$$, healthier for cats and our lungs, cats don’t ingest/ breathe clay when cleaning themselves, cleanup is way easier turning to pine dust, way less dust on furniture and in the air. Really wish shelters would switch to it bc the huge savings could be redirected to their animals food/medical needs.
Everyone, if they are honest has a storage space like yours. I didn't see anything I'd change. We have to put our extra things somewhere. Back after a while to watch your channel. Thanks for showing us your lovely home. I could feel right at home in your space. Willette
Arika your house always looks good but your pantry is still my favorite. You have made some great improvements. You and Marion and Jaxon have worked hard and it has paid off. Bless you and your sweet family. I still consider you my lifesaver.
I love and adore my 1200 sq ft house ❤ I’m a single young professional with no kids and my home is perfect for me or even a starter family. I grew up in a small house and it was honestly my favorite place to be. Filled with lots of love and laughter.
I love your home. And I also love that Marion has kept all the little presents and things from his kids. That is precious and money cannot buy all those memories. You guys have done so much to your home and you should be proud of it. You have made it beautiful. God bless you guys, you are the greatest.
Thank you !!! You love your little home....proud of all the changes you and Marion have made!!! Don't know if you've ever commented on why you don't have a garage??? You seem to have enough land...I like all your color choices and since you've screened in the porch, I know you love that area in the summer!!! ♥️
I so enjoyed this home tour. I've watched all the redos' but it was nice to see it all together. The best thing is your home is so relatable to me and I'm sure many others. Lots of you-tubers have these massive, new homes with so much space. Things a lot of us will never obtain. Thanks for being a down to earth, lovely lady.
Watching this, I was thinking yes, I remember that video when she did this. Yes, I watched that one too. I love your channel. I've been here since 2019.
My home was built in the eighties also. It’s 1100 square feet and we raised our 4 boys in our just big enough home too! I have a sign that says, Our house may be small but God knows where we live. 🤣❤️
hi , you have a cosy & lovely family home , & your basement is a really good size , also you are so crafty everything looks so good thankyou for letting us inside your home 🙂🙏
I love and adore that you made your house a home and have made it work for each season that you were in for the last 18 years. I can so relate to making it work! We actually ditched our beautiful, large 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 3 stall garage house over 11 years ago and we went down to a 3 bedroom 2 bath on a slab (about 1500 Sq ft), so we have no basement. However, we do have an attached 2 car garage. We have raised 3 kids in our small house and our kids actually say they prefer the small, coziness of our home. Our oldest got married just over a year ago and moved out and my boys finally got their own rooms after 17 years of rooming together. Sounds crazy, but in our large home, when we had room, they didn’t want their own rooms. When our boys do move out on their own, this house will still be a perfect size for my husband and I to grow old in. I wish more people would realize they don’t need the LARGE house to raise a family in. ❤
I love your house! It’s so nice and cozy. People think you need mansions and you really don’t. Your pantry 😍🥰 love it! We are a family of 5 in a single wide mobile home with a entry shed addition it’s roughly 1150 ft Altogether. It’s enough space for us and it’s paid for lol. We split the master bedroom in two rooms almost two years ago so each kiddo has their own room :)
I love how you cut out the hole in the entertainment center for your thermostat. I never would have thought to do that, but it makes so much sense and lets you use that whole wall!
Loved watching the changes over the years! In the laundry room maybe leave some kind of cabinet to hide the kitty box in. Will help with litter clean up too. Not sure if your kitties would go in something. Was my first thought when I seen it empty. Just an 💡. Hope your have a great blessed day💕
It’s a darling cottage! I grew up in the same size house with 12 of us. We spent a lot of time together and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything!! One bathroom!!! Yet, we made it work.
Sure do luv ur home!! Even really like the beige couch! There is a way to electronically load ur photos so they rotate. Nice to see you do makeovers within ur means, instead of racking up debt! Just love ur cozy home so much! 💗
Really enjoyed your home tour. First time watching your channel. Looking forward to watching future new ones and past ones. Love your faux ship lap and faux brick walls! You have a beautiful home. ❤
I love your house! It reminds me of the house I grew up in. We had a two bed/one bath home for my parents and four of us kids (2 girls and 2 boys). We just put two sets of bunk beds in the one bedroom and girls on one side, boys on the other. I lived that way until I married. After we all married and left, my parents finally had the money to add on. They added a third bedroom, second bathroom, and a laundry room.
your hubby could totally build a narrow wooden box (no lid) to contain the grillling utensils that fit right in that space • loved your pantry makeover video !!
I've watched so many home tours, and I see soooo many mc'mansions.....so perfectly staged.... It's a pleasure to come across a home.....a smaller older home that raised for children and was LIVED IN. Not just a trophy home. Takes me back to my childhood with us 4 kids in a 3 br home with 1 bathroom, 3 cats, 2 pet mice and a hamster! Yet......somehow after working all day, Mom and Dad came home and kept it all safe, clean and pretty to a degree. Your home is adorable....cudos to you and your husband is such beautiful work.
Hiya Arika. I'm so smitten with your cat perch. I tell you girl when you have a vision, you execute it beautifully. You talk with the hubs & Marion makes things happen. I've said it before, I adore you twos. Your home is so lovely so open so full of peace. I ty for that. Your studio is fantastic. Mines a hot mess. I can't use it. You always make me wanna be better Arika.
Your house is so lovely and cozy! I especially love the kitchen. I live in an old, small house that needs alot of work, someday maybe! I was wondering what type of dog is Ollie? A poodle? His sweet little doggy face is so precious! Thank you so much for sharing your home and I love your videos.
Hi,Arika. How are you? We have a small house. Its a 3 bedroom, one bathroom house. We raised 4 boys and one girl here. Some of my Grandkids have told me that we need a new house lol..but this is Home. Im happy here. Your house is just spotless. And its so cute. Ive always loved your house. Thanks for the tour. You take care😊
You have a lovely home. May The LORD continue to bless you and your family. I also raised my 4 children in a 2 bedroom apartment. AND BY GOD'S GRACE we have been so Blessed.
I love the way you decorated your home the pantry is amazing. Both you and your hubby work well together. You have a beautiful family including your pets they are adorable. I have 5 cats and my house wouldnt be a home without them .Much love from Canada❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Even though I have been subscribed to your channel for about 4 years I loved the home tour your home is really beautiful you have done a wonderful job making it a home 🏡 it looks really warm and cozy and inviting it doesn't matter the size it's beautiful thank you for sharing and God bless
"Door is a bit creaky but so is everything else in this house" I am 32 years old, I live in my brand new house we built. Have 2 babies. I know nothing about DIY. I have never made a single thing in my life. We have nothing in common.....at all. But I love your channel. I dont even know how I found you but I watch your videos and still enjoy it. You seem like such a lovely lady. Your house is so lived in and loved, it's very cute.
Love the realistic smaller home tour. Your home is so cute & cozy & always enjoy seeing your projects that are within reason for the majority of us. Love the colors in your home.
You could use your old pantry room for your recycle items I love your realistic home tour I just love your channel everyday You are my favorite an Patrick also lol 💙
How about keeping your vacuum, crosswave and other cleaning supplies in the laundry room in the empty cabinets at least until you remodel your laundry room. That way your pantry is for cooking / food supplies. That’s what I’d do. Love you
I just love your home...It is so warm and cozy! You also keep everything so organized and tidy. For being 1100 square feet, it feels so much bigger too. Our house is 1047 square feet so I understand fitting everything in a smaller space can be a challenge. I love your wall color and how every space flows into the next , as well.Your faux painting is just gorgeous and you are so talented in your decorating and bringing a room together. Ollie following you from space to space was simply adorable and like my two puppies. Thank you so much for sharing ! God Bless you and your entire family and have a great rest of the weekend.
Thanks to this video I was gifted the “thingy” to hold my tablet/phone at my bedside. I was using an open dresser drawer and propped my tablet with a pillow. Lol. This “thingy” has been a game changer! Thank you for sharing your home! 👍🏻❤️
HaHa! I had to go back and listen to your introduction again. When you said you were a family of 6, I misheard and thought you said you had raised 6 kids in this home. I am so relieved to know it was 4 kids and not 6 kids! Beautiful house, BTW!
I was trying to remember when I first found you on TH-cam but I think it was really early on. You have transformed your home and touched every surface with love and it is an adorable, welcoming home. I enjoy your videos because you are very real and I can relate to you, unlike others who live in large homes with what seems like unlimited budgets. I, too, live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Maybe our paths will cross one day. Stay blessed!! ❤️
I don’t know where to begin; I totally love your house ❤ so much. I feel very inspired. Thank you. I am totally obsessed with the paint color in the living room. I would not have thought of that color for the couch but seeing it I love it. I also love seeing the dogs and cats ❤❤🐈⬛🐕❤ . The faux wood walls are also one of my favorite things. I love the hutch and hate my old ugly one and am now thinking I would like to copy yours,. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
If you kept the closet in the laundry room, you could cut out a small opening in one door and put the cat litter in that closet. I have cats and would love an option to get cat litter not out in the open. Just a thought. I like what you’ve done with a smallish space. It’s nice and cozy.
I love how you explain in detail🫶🏽👌🏽☺️ your home is amazing the wood work…wow the cat window seat and the island 👌🏽💪🏽my dad was a master carpenter and I’d watch him work😊 he would’ve loved the wood work your husband did!! Be safe and thanks for sharing
You’re home is so adorable! I like that you don’t have it all cluttered with stuff. Love the white kitchen appliances. I’m the same way, all white appliances. Would you consider cutting a pet door into the cabinets in the laundry room and putting the litter box in there? At least until you do your renovation.
I love this! My home is 1200 square feet and I love to see how other folks decorate and utilize smaller spaces. You have a lovely home!
The reason I love your channel so much is because you're relatable.
A agree 👍
I love your little house. You’ve done such an amazing job decorating it and filled it with such love. My home is about the same square footage as your’s and was built in 1949. She’s a Senior lady too. And we love our little home as much as you probably love yours. I’m glad you found a way to make it work. That’s amazing! God bless you and your family and your home sweet home.
I love how spacious your pantry is! Your home is so cozy. I prefer smaller homes over bigger homes because they feel more inviting.
I agree! So many advantages to a small cozy home! Definitely less to clean, and lower electricity bills!😀👏🏻 Love your sweet home as well!🥰❤️
Bigger homes scatters the family members, where everyone is segregated in his own space, which is sad
The kitchen backsplash is great ❕
This is my home goal. Cozy and farmhouse!!
Ollie!❤
How refreshing! I real family home and your narrstion about everything really is relatable. We are selling our 95 year old small home that we have luved in for 30 years. We added a four seasons sunroom on in 2005 and landscaped our backyard. We have 2 bedrooms and one bath and a small kitchen. But we are havibg troyble selling because of the houses in our neighborhood are of the same age but have bern flipped so they are very modern inside with cathedral ceilings snd wirkout rooms and lux kitchens.your house reminds me of ours and proves to me that small is comfortable and functional and very pretty.
So glad you can relate! We love our little home so much and are so blessed!😀❤️
The light tan sofas looks cozy with the walls. Earthy cozy and refreshing. Almost a beachy vibe.
You inspire me so much. Living simply and within your means is so much more admirable than seeing fancy, magazine perfect house tours. You have inspired me to redo my pantry and I am in love with it. I plan to repaint my kitchen table soon due to your inspiration.
Aw that’s so awesome! So glad it inspired you! 🥰❤️
A house made with love and full of love. The hard work that Marion and you have put in has paid off, and I'd watch 100 videos like this rather than one cookie cutter Instagrammed into perfection house video.
❤️Thank you!
I love your home tour. Your home shows love, cozyness, and care. You know I am 73+ now and am amused at so many young people who cannot imagine having one bath. I grew up in a home with only one bath and it always worked for our family of five. May God bless you and your family❣️😊
Wonderful! A house that is relatable to a majority of most working Americans. This is why I love your channel. ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
You have such a nice home. You did a great job decorating. And you're so fortunate to have a handy hubby. I grew up in a small house - five kids, a dog and a cat with one bath. I think it made us closer as a family. I love smaller, realistic home tours. They're so much more relatable.

Oh WOW, your home is absolutely beautiful. Love all of your ideas, and decor choices and so much clean white, love it. God Bless You sweetie.
I love your home. My house was built in 1960 and it has its quirks too. But I’m so very grateful to live in it. Thanks for the tour. 😊

I love your house. I would store my vacuum, crosswave, and scrubber in the closet in the laundry room.. I wish I had a pantry. You are very blessed.
Also, I just love that Oliver follows you from room to room and posed beautifully for the camera!!
I love your home. And I also love that Marion has kept all the little presents and things from his kids. That is precious and money cannot buy all those memories. Grew up in a 3 bed 1 bath with 3 sisters and my parents. You learn how to live with what you have.
I love how you are proud of your home and not like others who are constantly wanting bigger and more you have a beautiful home 🤗
It's wonderful that your home is your heart and your decor is mostly photos of family. Good job!

everything looks so good
thankyou for letting us
inside your home 🙂🙏
Such a beautiful home! The decor is so calming and doable on a smaller budget that most of us have.
Just lovely!
Thanks so much! 😊

(I am a cat person, but Ollie has won my heart. He is so adorable!)
Thank you! 🥰 Oliver is a lover!❤️
I love those old craftsman style homes. I had a house once with that same floor plan..sadly not the basement! That’s a great space! Beautiful home.
Really enjoyed your home tour. First time watching your channel. Looking forward to watching future new ones and past ones. Love your faux ship lap and faux brick walls! You have a beautiful home. ❤
Love home improvements and home tours!!

Yet......somehow after working all day, Mom and Dad came home and kept it all safe, clean and pretty to a degree. Your home is adorable....cudos to you and your husband is such beautiful work.
Your home is perfect! Love everything about it. 🙂
Oh thank you my friend! You are always so encouraging! I love that! 🥰❤️👏🏻
Your house is beautiful. Well done to you and your husband.
Arika, your home is so charming. I remember watching all your kitchen remodel videos. It was an exciting time!
Your home is so pretty and cozy! A place where your family and friends want to kick off their shoes and sit on the couch with a soft, cozy blanket!
You have a lovely home.
May The LORD continue to bless you and your family.
I also raised my 4 children in a 2 bedroom apartment.
AND BY GOD'S GRACE we have been so Blessed.
Aw that’s awesome! Blessed for sure!❤️🥰
"Door is a bit creaky but so is everything else in this house"
I am 32 years old, I live in my brand new house we built.
I love Marion room looks so relaxing.
Love the realistic smaller home tour. Your home is so cute & cozy & always enjoy seeing your projects that are within reason for the majority of us. Love the colors in your home.
gosh I remember the kitchen redo, and man I can't believe it's been 2 years!!!
You could use your old pantry room for your recycle items I love your realistic home tour I just love your channel everyday You are my favorite an Patrick also lol 💙
Thank you! ❤️🥰
How about keeping your vacuum, crosswave and other cleaning supplies in the laundry room in the empty cabinets at least until you remodel your laundry room. That way your pantry is for cooking / food supplies. That’s what I’d do. Love you
Nice! I like that you don't have useless knick knacks all over the place like I do.
You have a warm and inviting home, love your family and the closeness you all share!
Oh that’s awesome! I LOVE mine too!😀👏🏻
Making the most of what you have is the best way. The example you set is one worth emulating. More is not necessarily better.
You have a beautiful home. And it is decorated so beautifully and is so uncluttered!! I love it!
You have done so much to make your house a home. I also prefer white kitchen appliances.😊
Enjoyed your home tour, you a beautiful home. May God continue to bless you and your family.
❤❤❤all your videos especially your fur babies and your videos are so empowering with kindness
