Nice review again andy needed some straight information before I invested in one and you just answered all my questions.looks like there's a daystate being added to my collection.
Dan Whetton does some incredible 2D artwork for this channel. I love this, the True Grit artwork and of course, the infamous Red Wolf Serie Rosso artwork. It's so good Daystate should be hiring him to do all their box art.
If you want to see the PERFECT Daystate Wolverine check out the Sapphire Limited Edition I own three wolverines and the Sapphire with it's adjustable comb / cheek piece is by far the most ergonomic. The addition of a PRS adjustable butt / shoulder piece makes it very easy to get a proper eye box. My .177 FAC is shooting JSB 10.34's at 909 FPS right out of the box.
HI, I LIKE THE DAYSTATE WOLVERINE R, AND ALSO I LIKE THE DAYSTATE RED WOLF, WOULD IT BE BEST TO TEST BOTH OF THESE FOR ME TO CHOOSE. LOVE THE REVIEWS, AND YOUR SENSE OF HUMOUR. LOL
Today, 1/12/21, I ordered a Daystate Wolverine R Hi-lite in.22 from Baker Air Guns. Mine has a walnut stock. I also ordered a DonnieFL Tanto mod to go with it. I'm looking forward to getting it.
@@mikerotch6733 - Yep, it arrived a while ago. I've been shooting it and enjoying it. It's shooting H & N Sport Baracuda Match, 21.39 gr pellets at an average of 785.3 fps, giving me 29.17 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. It's not as powerful as my .22 FX Royale 400. The 400, shooting the same pellets, produces 32.64 t-lbs of energy at the muzzle. And its just as accurate as the 400. I'm thinking the Wolverine may have a longer shot string though, but don't know for sure.
The Walther Rolex RM8. That should have been called the Wolverine. Love it or loathe it, it can bring down much ‘bigger’ prey……..at the range, that is. I had a friendly shoot out with a guy at the local range. 30 & 60 metres. He professed to being a perfectionist and had an M3 Impact, I had my lowly RM8. The Impact did not win. 😂 I’m sure a sorted Impact with a good shooter would change that result but it just emphasised to me that, with the Impacts being so adjustable, they’re usually messed up. Or should I say it’s certainly the case with the ones that I’ve seen. 👍 Happy shooting.
My standard deviation is between 10 to 12 all weighed pellets I now it’s new but my crown mk2 is 2.7 over 22 pellets 😭 so wish I bought a r12 instead 🙈
Was expecting much more in the consistency department, especially since the price!!! Think I'll stick with the Air Arms Mpr-ft still, 150-130bar 6 fps spread and a match barrel.
OMG !!!!!! although I've seen it before , this vid shows it in it's absolute awesomeness gorgeousness ...ECT ECT ... Hell ! I'd rather take this into the woods in preference too Penelope Cruz ... Accurate as well ( recon me Mk4 would quite easily match it though ) as for FAC versions ...never seen the use for anything more then 12ftlb , but I suppose some folk need it ( professionals ) ... I too used too fire " 303's " ...Lee Enfields ...trust me ( if you ain't fired one ) it kicks like a boozed up football hoolgan ...
I had a Wolverine r c type grey laminate. sold it and got an Airwolf, MCT, walnut. Both excellent rifles. Been dabbling with FX Wildcat mk3, Uragan compact, HW 97k, all black, all good guns, all .177. Now I'm back to DS Pulsar synthetic and Wolverine r hilite, Walnut .177.
Great review .. loved it so much , ive just bought one , went up shop too get some pellets , saw the rifle ( exactly the same as your demo ) just HAD too have it .. so I did ... and I might say , its AWESOME too shoot ... a top quality rifle ... Great vid ... but cost me ( cheaper then you quoted btw ) £1290 ..
Mark homer I've not long purchased a AA ultimate sporter xs in .22. I'm having problems with it leaking air & AA are being less than helpfull! Thinking of switching to daystate & this rifle in particular! Would be interested in your opinion? Daystate or Air Arms?
@@markgoodwin8338 Think id have it repaired under warranty , Air arms are a quality product . As for the wolverineR .. I can't overstate the quality of every aspect of it ... Fantastic in every way ..... I suspect the ultimate sporter would be the same if the leaking problem wasnt apparent .. in my opinion BOTH are superb pieces of kit ....
Accuracy .. well ... absolutely fantastic , the trigger is so crisp and positive its almost like its electronic brothers ( mk4 , airwolf , redwolf & pulsar ) feel ...i just love it ..
@@markhomer5704 thanks for your quick reply. I bought the s510 US after much thought, research & already owning the .177 superlight version. The rifle is currently with RFD who supplied me the rifle after coming back from AA who reported they could find no problems? (it leaked 100 bar in 5days). They are pressure testing it for me. Any more problems & I'll be switching to the wolverine after your glowing recommendation! Thanks again.
@@markgoodwin8338 No probs mark , any questions , feel free too ask .. pellet preferences ect , bearing in mind I've only put around 200 shots through mine up untill now .. would be more , but weathers aweful at the moment ...
Gonna reply monday , son getting married tommorow and im well on the beer ... will watch it again and give my opinion ... that said , id flog both my children on ebay , for this rifle ...
Daystate Rifles are scrap, has bad quality control, my rifle purchased 8 months ago is scrap. I go to the range every 2-3 weeks and every 2-3 weeks I have a problem, leeks, breach seal puff up after 100 shots, in October I got this rifle (brand new in USA) and since I've changed 16 times the breach oring (originals provided by AOA), The anti-double load guns most all suffer probe damage from the magazine to some degree, but Daystate refers to the metal to metal contact as just cosmetic. But I would like mention problems with magazine, side lever, losen pieces into the block, actuator pin broken, well so many things. AOA gives a very good support by quality of this rifles like Wolverine HP/R are very bad. A friend of mine purchased a Redwolf (limited series) and has problems with magazines, he has a Wolverine 2 has problems as well. Other friend purchased a DAYSTATE Redwolf and expend about 100 dollars in Orings because has the same problem in the breach. Is a shame that expensive rifles suffer of bad quality. A comparison: you purchase a Ferrari for you and a Chinese car for your wife, how do you feel if the Ferrari has a problem every two weeks and the chines cars only put gas and run? I had a Hatsan for a year without any problem, my mistake hear a friend who recommended DAYSTATE. Thanks for your videos Andy.
Nice review, Thank god for HW and the introduction of side levers to the masses !

i have the wolverine r hilite version and i love it very accurate great gun
I got mine here in the U.S. a few weeks ago and can easily agree with everything you said.
Thanks Andy, a great review !

One important thing Daystate should add is the ability to decock the wolverine.
A rare sight seeing the guages up rite lol
Penelope Cruz would rather take one of these into the woods because apparently they take 4 weeks to come
😆
Hello Andy. Nice video as allways. Looks like a very good rifle. Have a nice weekend my friend. Regards Rune

Hi Andy I’m thinking of getting one of these the only thing I’m not sure on is the hi lite bottle or b type bottle what’s the difference ?
Probably the bulk, weight, and shot count.
Beautyful made, accurate, lovely looking , craftsman ship in perfection !!! BUT it is power adjustable ? Than it would be an option !! nice vid!!!!
Super, superr, superrrr, mudah2an aku bisa punya
the safety catch is a pain andy

shoot the wolverine behind you the .303 the rifle that will bash everything to bits
