Dr Jefferson, i received my order from Joy of Beauty! I've tried the scrub you used here, and it really smoothed my skin! I also tested another product, and it made my skin feel amazing! It's a lemon and rosemary after shower oil.❤ That oil was given to me in samples. I had talked to the owner of the company, and she sent 2 samples since I had ordered for my mom and myself. The next to try is the soak! Thank you for the recommendation!

Dr.Kevin HOW do people get skin scales? Where do it come from???
It's just skin build up. As we get older it gets harder for us to reach certain parts of our body and it just accumulates. I'm 43 and just found out I have thyroid issues so I gain about 100 pounds extra and can't trim my toenails because of it. Life happens. I buy loofah scrubs and Oil Of Olay exfoliation body wash and scrub my body in shower and what I can't reach I use a long handled brush with bodywash in it for my back and feet. Works like a charm and after I put on body lotion or body oil. Hope this helps.😊

Hi Doc, great job. I see this all the time but the scales are so hard it is difficult to remove them so I tend to just rub urea on them and advise soaking and gently rubbing with a flannel. What soak did you use before curettage?
Probably warm water. If you are unable to do it in the shower just get a small hand towel and soak it in hot water, by the time you get it to thr spot that needs it it will be cooled down enough to wrap around your leg, arm, etc. and then just let it sit for 10 min. That should be enough to scrap em off. 😊
They look like flat warts of some kind, I have notice I have a few as I get older. I pick them off, I know this is not the best way to deal with them, but it seems to work 🤞

What causes this condition?
It's just skin build up. Maybe she is unable to reach to scrub in shower and put lotion on. As we age things get harder to reach on our body. 😊
Is that from not being cleaned properly in that area?

That is brawny edema caused from long-lasting untreated high blood pressure. I hope the patient was told to get to his regular doctor.
What he is treating is skin scales not brawny edema. Two totally different problems. But I can see why one would think so.
