- Indian javelin champion Neeraj Chopra opens up about his elbow injury, the tribulations of not competing for almost a year and the road ahead, with Tokyo fast approaching.
The 22-year-old Asian Games 2018 gold-medallist qualified for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo last week with a throw of 87.86m at an athletics meeting in South Africa.

I've seen so many young athletes perform incredibly and then the injuries get worse and worse and they end up leaving the sport, I hope he peaks slowly so he will stay interested in throwing, too much success at young age, it leads too both injuries and loss of wanting too keep going, I hope he peaks slowly, he's definitely an up coming MAJOR TALENT, GOOD LUCK CHOPRA
He not only looks very humble, positive and brave hearted person but also an obedient, calm, focussed and determined sportsman. These qualities proved to be his biggest assets in achieving all the success in big sports events ( including his historic Gold 🏅 in Tokyo Olympic, 2021), where many a times people fall short of the desired results because of high pressure of expectations.
