    Just bought mine. I also tested the ups. When charging it works. Also when I was fully charged at 100 %, I unplugged it and it still worked. I don't know if I have an updated model but it seems to be working. Please note that a regular UPS has a 3-4 ms switch time. 20 ms is not ideal. I wouldn't use this as a UPS but more to prolong the UPS battery time.

      Glad yours is working. But again, Vtoman was aware of the issue prior to my review and hopefully it is fixed or at least the product page is clear about the UPS feature.

    Josh, thank you very much for the review. I think you are the only TH-camr that has touched on the UPS problem. Yes I am finding the same problem. When 100% charged it takes 3 to 4 seconds to switch over to battery. In my opinion this is not a very good UPS. Also during my testing I got the same results as you. When you're drawing 1600 W charging from the wall and you lose power the UPS works as advertised. But if you were running a computer as they advertise with their picture and the 20 ms, I'm sure that computer would be shut down.

      It was a surprise for sure! It’s unfortunate that it isn’t made clearer on the product page. Could cause issues for some people

      I read it somewhere that the UPS mode has to be specifically set in the menu, that it's not automatic. But yeah, if I was misinformed, and if this continues to be the issue - UPS feature would be a clear example of misadvertisement. For me, likewise this would be a deal breaker. Much appreciated.

      @@NEKRWSPHERE it is great that we have communication with products that are POS. 10 years ago, we didn't have this type of communication. This company was finally honorable after me showing TH-cam videos to them that their product is POS. They took back the product and return my money only because I threatened that I would put this product up on TH-cam as a POS. I will warn everybody, this product is POS. This company is POS to deal with!

    That ups issue is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for identifying it.

      Hopefully it’s been addressed in new models. I spoke with Vtoman and they were aware of the issue.

    Does this have any sort of bluetooth connectivity, wifi connectivity or any way to trigger a generator to start either wired or wirelessly? I'd love to hook up a simple raspberry pi and have it automatically start a generator when it reaches 20% and turn off when it reaches 80%

    Hey Josh! Ty for the video. I just discovered Vtoman yesterday and the 1st video I saw was a lady talking about the flash1000. She said stop the 12v output to fridge on e the fridge stopped running compressor/fan and wouldn't restart unless button was engaged again. Is it the same case for the 1500?? I'd hate for stuff to spoil in fridge for what looks like a pretty big overlooked feature

    Hey Josh Loved your Slide out bed design. Would you do a similar bed build with build plans but with a Slide out rear kitchen
    Cheers

    Good review, however, if it were my device, I would heat the tabs and reset them so they did catch a very trivial issue.

    In regards to the solar can you use other panels than the vtoman? The minimum required voltage is 30v up to 60v so I was thinking could I use 2 x 100w panels? Otherwise the ONLY choice is to purchase THEIR expensive solar panel which shouldn't be necessary as many of us have solar panels already.

      That was one of my questions that I wasn’t able to find on their site.. @ 3:23 he says you can use a 3rd party panel.
      My other question was, how much does it weigh?

    The 1500 I bought 2 months ago arrived with reversed polarity. Many appliances wont work with reversed polarity. It appears to have floating neutral. My furnace won't work with this design. I was able to fix both problems but VTOMAN provided no technical help. I was going to return the unit but it seems the buyer has to pay shipping. Otherwise I like the unit but "buyer beware"

    Finally, after dealing with this company for 40+ days they admitted that their product doesn't work. I would highly suggest not to buy this product. They did not want to refund my money, this is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I goddamn hope you got this for free. In my opinion it is a piece of shit

    BE AWARE BUYERS ive just bought 1 ov these for my campervan which i mainly live in and as fast as it charges if u want to run things higher than usb or low voltage mains items this will drain real quick...i tried my air fryer(1500w)and within 20mins it had drained 70% of battery so no good for long use...also on 12v van charge it takes 9hrs...not as good as people may think when spending all that money hmmm🤔

    • @melissal3383

      Anything like hair dryer, air fryer, AC, furnace will draw down the power of ANY of these types of solar power stations. Unless you go Big, really big, but then the weight & mobility is too heavy. I saw a podcast where the guy used an induction cooktop but he also had 2 more storage batteries on top. Or try a heated blanket but then the unit might get too cold

    • @truthismyreligion6391
      @truthismyreligion6391 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I won't be running an air fryer on it lol.

    • @davidl.9757
      @davidl.9757 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well duh of course the air fryer drained it quickly if it’s running 1500 W it’s only going to last an hour. How did you not know this before buying. Your gonna need a much larger power station for something like that
